My friend has been living at Patriot Ridge Community since February 20. Theyve done excellent medical care for my friend. They're a very excellent and caring facility. Like all nursing facilities, they are very short-staffed which becomes an issue on occasion. The medical person who was at the facility is super, but she will be leaving which I'm very sorry to hear. She's been a blessing and she's the one who recommended that we bring hospice on board. They're doing everything they can to keep my friend comfortable. My friend is in skilled nursing with them. He's in a shared room with another person. It's very basic, and they would put a few things that I've brought up and they'd do the laundry. They have a regular menu, but then they also have the option of a la carte items. They offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy. They accept Medicaid which was important. They offer respite and temporary rehabilitation services. They're a nursing home, not just skilled nursing. They also work with the Veterans Administration.

Details of my daughter's situation was not relayed from Administrative to nursing and aides. She had to be fed, but was left to feed herself. I found her at 4:30 pm with a very wet depends, and an elastic hair band in her mouth. She probably had not been changed since early morning. The memory unit stunk terribly!!

The assisted living at Patriot Ridge Community wasn't something that we liked. It was nice, and the rooms seemed OK, but they're a little older and need to be updated. They didn't look bright and sunny. They looked clean but seemed a little depressing. For the most part, they were nice, but dark and I think it was nap time when we went. They had all kinds of activities and a nice room for activities and art. We really liked the staff we met. They were very sweet, very good, kind, and very friendly. They were setting up, but we did not try the food. The setting, the tables and all, looked very good.

My sister stayed at Patriot Ridge. They were very caring, very personable people. The facilities were very good. During the whole stay, she was not able to use the dining room, but I had been in the dining room. The food was good. The only problem was, if you were a vegetarian, they could not help you. They do not have the variety of food a vegetarian needed. The dining room was a large open place with large tables. They were very accommodating in reheating food and stuff like that because she was a very picky eater. Sometimes it took her maybe an hour to an hour and a half to eat, with a smile, they would come back with the food. If she needed a little bit more, then they would come back again. They were never disagreeable with her. The personality of the staff impressed me most. They were always pleasant when they saw me down the corridor, or when I visited my sister. They would always please you.

Amazing! What you can tell us that the people that work here really care. They care for your family-- they care for each other. I have been two other rehabs with Mom. No decision now. I will always go to Patriots Ridge. Thanks again and keep doing what you are doing. Still in major gratitude. Claire.

Sent my dad there for rehab after a 5 day stay following a couple of TIAs and confusion. He was walking with a walker and talking but still a little confused, within 3 days he was back in the ER dehydrated to the point of kidney problems. He spent a week in the hospital and we sent him back to Patriot Ridge and again walking and talking going in and 4 days later back in the ER dehydrated and kidney problems. During the second stay I visited daily and repeatedly pointed out to the staff his deteriorating condition, repeatedly asked that the doctor contact me, the staff just said he was tired because he wasn't sleeping at night and I never received a call from the doctor.
