I’m happy to leave a recommendation for The Danbury. My father was a resident there for approximately a year. His room was an awesome small one bedroom apartment and it had everything my dad needed. Stove, microwave and refrigerator. My dad loved that he called his home. The staff is awesome, very caring and responsive. And pleasing to interact with. The food was great. It’s like going to a restaurant sitting down. They bring a menu tell you the specials that they have today and the quality of the food was excellent. They made it easy to have lunch or dinner with my dad and I had it set up so when guest came to visit that they could get a meal ticket at the front desk and add it to my bill, so he would have someone there to still have lunch and dinner with so they all enjoyed their time while they visit with him. My dad loved the Danbury and it was easy for him, He would say I’m perfectly happy being here at home. There were couples that lived beside of him and across the hall. All the residents were friendly as well as the greeting staff whenever I would visit, It was always pleasing to go there. “It wasn’t like going into a nursing home” it was like going into a nice facility that you might be greeted by an elderly person in a tracksuit doing their physical activity walk or a resident on their scooter or a walker, but in a nice well-kept lobby and the dining area was right there to see as well. The facility is well kept where they have a barber shop, activity rooms, movie theater, and it’s the kind of place that if I was going to look for myself to move into being elderly. I would definitely go to the Danbury. The overall feel and the smell of the facility was pleasant not like most other type of Facilities that I had visited, so my overall experience was excellent. I could not have asked for a better place to have my dad to be a resident and as a son I was proud of where he was staying! Jim B Son of resident Bill B

We moved Mom into Danbury Huber Heights Assisted Living in 2018 after touring several other facilities. She has since been moved to the Memory Care Unit. We like Danbury because it felt like home, the staff was friendly and professional, and we had a feeling of trust that they would provide good care. Mom has never complained about the food and they always have a nice variety. The Memory Care Unit has an outside courtyard that is beautiful with flowers and vegetables. The Memory Care residents help water and tend to the gardens. The nursing staff, Memory Care Director and Facility Director are fabulous and easily accessible for family members who may have a question or problem. They have always acted on any concerns we have had and offered solutions. We are very happy with our decision to move Mom into Danbury Huber Heights.

I can’t say enough good things about Danbury in Huber Heights, especially their memory care unit. My mom was my dad’s primary caregiver. When she became ill with cancer, we needed to quickly find dad a safe place to call home. He had started getting angry, combative, and anxious. Once he moved to Danbury, he was back to his pleasant, active, social self. The daily activities kept him interested and engaged, and I think being in memory care with others made him less aware of his failing mind, less broken. There were ups and downs (dementia is a very cruel disease), but the administrators, nurses, and staff were much-needed and much-appreciated partners in care, ensuring that my father lived his very best, full, and, most importantly, dignified life.

The rooms are nice and maintinence is quick to fix things. The facility is always clean and bright. The staff is super nice and answers questions promptly. I am a little disappointed in the activities offered. The assisted living my sister was in before seemed to have many more interactive activities for the residents and the families to participate in. My sister has also said that they sometimes run out of the special meal for the day.

My mom has lived a Danbury for a few years now. She enjoys thd opportunities to participate in a variety of activities that are offered. She has the ability to eat in the dining room or to make food in her large apartment. Rooms/apartments vary depending on the abilities and needs of the residents. There are several amenities to choose from. Staff is friendly and willing to help when needed. When the time came for mom to move out of her home, Danbury was at the top of our list.

Danbury has been a wonderful caring home for my mother. The staff is knowledge and friendly, not just the nursing and the support staff but dining room, cleaning and maintenance people are all warm-hearted. The food is healthy and delicious and a variety of items are available each day. My mother’s studio apartment as well as the rest of the community is always well maintained. It is a bright and cheerful “home”. Danbury has taken the worry off of my shoulders. I know my mom is getting her medication everyday and on time. If she needs help it is there and given by loving gentle people. In short, Danbury has made my mother’s life easier with less anxiety and therefore more enjoyment for her. My visited with her are now filled with calm loving quality time.

Facilities both inside and out are well maintained and issues resolved promptly. The dining style menu has a variety of options and service is top notch. Saving the best for last is the staff which works tirelessly to provide a community atmosphere for residents and keeps a watchful eye on any medical or mobility concerns. I have one parent residing in Assisted Living and one in Memory Care and am happy to say that the level of care is consistent in both communities. I would highly recommend Danbury Huber Heights to anyone needing care for a family member.

Rooms are cleaned regularly, and needed maintenance is done timely. The staff is super friendly, always asking if there is anything else we need. The food is outstanding, and available almost any time of the day. There seems to be some sort of activity that Mom looks forward to, nearly every day. She is more outgoing and active at Danbury, than she ever was at home, and still maintains a vibrant social life outside of the residence. It’s been a big win for our family.

My tour with Danbury Huber Heights went great. I liked the place. I love the atmosphere. It's bright, and not as dark and dingy as a lot of places. The staff was very nice and informative. The facility looked very nice, very clean and they have a cleaning service for each individual room every week.

The people at Danbury Huber Heights were very nice and very pleasant. The facility was extremely well-kept. They have group social settings such as coffee time in the morning and that sort of thing, which was very nice. I have no negative thoughts about them except that it wasn't what I was looking for. I appreciate some social contact, but not that much and I think the price range was more than I wanted to pay. It included meals and a lot of things that I did not want at this point in my life and I'm just transitioning from owning my own home for 50 years to downsizing, because of my age (and preparing for my old age). They had workout equipment and game rooms, but no gym, and no pool, which was OK with me. The staff were very knowledgeable, very friendly, very informative, and very understanding of my needs.

Danbury in Huber Heights is very complete and very professional. The memory care facility, where my wife is at, is very clean. I'm happy with how they're treating her. I think the food is good and they have so many different activities and places to have those activities. They have a meeting room, a general area, a TV room, a movie theater, and a lot of amenities.

I really like Danbury in Huber Heights. I have a room reserved for my sister at this point in time. I went there and I was very happy with it. It was quite lovely. Everything I saw was wonderful. Everything appeared to be really great. It was clean, and it looked great. The rooms were gorgeous and had lots of storage.
