I liked The Convalarium of Dublin. Actually, my brother was at that facility before he passed away. My husband would have had a roommate there, and that is the big thing that kind of made the decision for me. The rooms were decent. They were a little darker, not as bright and friendly. Everything appeared to be well kept during my tour. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. I liked her. They showed us pretty much the whole facility, including the common areas, several different types of rooms where they do therapy, and the dining area. The dining area was nice. Nobody was eating at the time we were there, so it was neat and clean. At that time, they were trying to get residents to come back to the dining hall. Because of the pandemic, most of them had been eating in their rooms. The staff said they were slowly coming back to the dining area. They had a patio outside that was kind of a big living room type area, and it was very nice looking. There were tables, chairs, and benches to sit on.

MY loved one was in this facility following a discharge from a local hospital to transition to physical rehabilitation. He was confused and his room environment was unsafe. There were no siderails on the bed and we were told none could be added. There were no electronic bed safety devices being utilized. A thin mat was placed by his bed as a remedy to protect him from injury should he fall out of bed. This would not have protected him if he was able to wander in the room and fell. He was not moved closer to the nurses' station. Ultimately, he did fall on his second day at this facility and died.

This the best place for rehab after surgery ! All the staff are friendly and very professional ! They really do CARE for you as resident the RT therapy treat you like you are a family member ! Steve, Lorelei Jeff are the best respiratory therapist ! The rooms are like a suite one person per room ...Quiet no one walking the hall or someone coming your room who doesnt belong there...Management is very concerned how you are doing ...The nurses are top notched and a doctor comes in once a week to make sure your getting better ! The food is much better here and HOT here unlike other rehab centers i've been in...The aids are nice and professional too the rooms are cleaned daily ...

The Convalarium in Dublin does not care about your loved ones!!! They always say that someone will call you back and they NEVER do!!! My dad fell In the bathroom doorway and he layer there for 2HOURS!!! They kept Telling me different days of when the doctor would see my and each time they changed the day!! They acted like you calling was an Inconvenience to them!!! The only good thing about this place is the receptionist Emily and Renee other than that this place does not care about your loved ones and I don’t care about you if you love your love ones and want them cared for STAY AWAY!!!

The staff members are professional and compassionate and have provided my mom excellent care. The culinary team is accommodating with menu selections, ensuring she receives the food items that she likes while working with her dietary restrictions. The lifestyle staff provides engaging and fun activities, adapting during the pandemic to make sure that she receives social interaction while following CDC guidelines for safety. The nursing team ensures that she has her medications in a timely manner and that she receives proper medical care when needed. The administration is kind, responsive and professional, keeping us updated on happenings at the facility and changes in procedures and protocols. I highly recommend this facility!

Please do not allow your loved one to be placed in this facility. My mother was a patient here. She went from the hospital to this facility then back to the hospital for approx. a week then back to the facility. She was confused and agitated but they had no clue on how to treat her. She fell one night and was bruised from one side of her face to her neck and above her knee to below her kneecap. No call was made to us until the morning. No safety alarms on her bed. That morning they asked us to have a family member with her 24 hrs. a day or find another facility. They were very unprofessional. and uncaring. Needless to say we took her home that morning . The only saving grace was their Physical Therapy Dept. that was excellent. Thank You.

Don't take your loved ones here. In my opinion this facility is the worst of the worst. Young men are sent to bath and help elderly women change clothes. My Mother has been here twice . Never ever will she go again. They got her started on ADULT DIAPERS now she is almost like a young child. With the 100% failure on her physical therapy it is almost impossible for her to make it to the bathroom on time. She didn't require ADULT DIAPERS when she checked in. In my opinion they throw these DIAPERS on patients that way they are on autopilot. No one has a choice of there meals either. They cook what they want. If you like it good. If you don't like it.....oh well.. Wait times for assistance or medicine are off the hook.

Both my parents were in this facility at the same time. My dad for rehab after open heart surgery, my mom for rehab after pneumonia and to improve her ability to walk several months after breaking her hip. Mom has dementia so every day was a new beginning, she did not make progress so was in a few weeks. She had many pairs of clean underwear but wore the same pair every day without washing. She was also very uncomfortable that a man would undress and bathe her. She was very upset with the lack of notice and lack of privacy. Women don't like being bathed by men. Dad had good care, good therapy, medical follow up, and made good progress. The facility was beautiful, had very nice single rooms, not so nice double rooms, good food. Medication did not arrive for days. I was asked to bring in Mom's meds which were not used and were lost at much cost. There were regular treatment meetings some at the request of the family. Another really nice thing was that there were 2 cats that were very at home in the facility and very enjoyed and stress relieving.
