As the weather warms, the ladies are dividing our orange and yellow Stella D'oro & Happy Returns daylillies, and also plant & prepare our truck & box gardens, while the men tidy up the property between weekly landscaper visits (the landscapers shape our beautiful shrubs, edge the walkways, etc; not just grasscutting). All part of our volunteer Garden & Groundskeeping committee, doing what they used to enjoy doing at home. Soon the residents will be sitting outside enjoying the expansive shade our Oak trees provide, while delighting in cavorting squirrels, chipmunks, and bluejays. It really is that nice!

Post pandemic, there is continuous improvement with a robust Resident Council and Administration. If you smoke, this is one of the few facilities currently with a designated smoking room, with direct access to a garden patio. What's not tolerated at Woodhaven? Hate speech and taking advantage of other residents. Check it out with a thorough onsite/virtual tour with an external case manager. I did!

Woodhaven Home for Adults was kind of old, but clean. The staff was nice and friendly. They had art, bingo, game night, and movie night. You must eat three meals in the dining room. You're only allowed to eat meals in the bedroom if you're sick. You can bring in a little refrigerator, but not microwave, and you can eat your own food in your room. It's two people in a room and four people to a bathroom and there were extra bathrooms in the hall. There's no shower in your room, but you have a sink. There's one small closet each and twin bed each and you can bring your own furniture.

Woodhaven Home for Adults was very old. The woman who took us on the tour was very knowledgeable, very sweet, and she said my cousin would be comfortable there. The rooms were old, but they're bright, and it's in a nice area. The dining area was old as well. He likes the fact that he will have freedom there. In the nursing home that he was in before this, you couldn't leave unless you have somebody sign you out.

I liked Woodhaven Home. It was a small, family run place. The staff was very courteous and very informative. The grounds were OK, and it's easy to get to. Their menu was very simple, and they can make exceptions. There are two people to a room, you can provide a partition, and you pay extra for a TV and a refrigerator.

I've been staying at Woodhaven Home. The rent is low if you have Medicaid. The medical care is wonderful. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The grounds are nice, they have some patios, but everybody gets the same thing food-wise, and there's no choice. They have Bingo from Monday to Friday.
