My mother is in the memory care unit. The activities are nonexistent although they have a list on the wall. The staff is neglectful and inept. They’ve lost my mother’s clothes, her dentures, and her wigs. They have poor communication among the staff AND poor communication to the families. My mother had unexplained bruises and a broken thumb that I had to discovery on my own. The administrators don’t return calls or emails. Do not place your loved ones here if you have the option. They used to be well run. But have recently changed management and things have gone tremendously downhill.

I could say that I feel sorry for the nurses & staff that work here. Not extremely communicative regarding patient status. Only time we heard from social worker was about payment & insurance information. Not too helpful in providing additional information. Not sure if my mother received the best care, but I guess I will say some of them tried. It's tough since the nurses are overworked.

No amenities. Only 1 patient can watch tv per room. Food is inedible. Equipment is antiquated. Beds HURT. Staff is wonderful though, considering what they are working with. AND the rooms are falling apart.

I did see Chestnut Hill Residences for my aunt. It was our first choice because it is in the next town over so that we don't have to travel. The administrator is very nice. There is a nursing home on one side and assisted living on the other side. The place was big, spacious, and airy. The room was nice. The dining room was big, airy, and bright. The community was very nice, but they didn't accept my aunt.

Chestnut Nursing home has to be closely observed.. The nurses seem on point as to doing their job with vitals, dressings and medications. However, the CNA's have to be closely monitored as many of them don't like washing the patients or providing oral care. It is imperative that family members and friends allocate time to sit and watch as often as possible. Simply passing by for 10 or 15 minutes doesn't help the elderly who need a constant outside advocate.

My mother has been a resident of the Assisted Living section of Chestnut Hill for a little over a year. All the staff, nursing, housekeeping, dietary, reception, all management etc are extremely attentive and VISABLE something you rarely come across in Assisted Living facilities. Always smiling, always cordial. While dated, the place is kept very clean, and they are in the process of remodeling. Most of all, although she would much rather be home,(as I wish could be too),my mother hasn't any complaints and call the staff "angels". There is no better feeling for a daughter to feel content that her mother is well taken care of.

I visited Chestnut Hill. It is only 5 minutes from my house. However, the admission person was very unprofessional. The rooms were like they're from the 1800s. I just didn't like it. They need to improve on the staff and the living facilities.

My father was in this facility on a short term basis for about 2 months. The treatment he received there was horrible. The food was mediocore at best. My father just had bypass surgery on his right leg and we need to put him in another facilty and we would NEVER even think of putting him back in this facility. They would give him the OPTION of doing physical therapy of not. They ignored symptoms of the start of gangrene. Instead of contacting the doctor, they simply wrapped his feet and did not make us nor the facilty doctor aware of this. Never again! Do not put your loved on in this facility.

The cleanliness at Chestnut Hill Conv Center is better than we've expected. The food is great both for the guests and patients. The staff are attentive. I could tell that their patients are happy.
