There is NO Physical Therapy at this nursing home. I was supposed to be in sub acute wing but placed in residential wing. The room had a sign indicating “ Deep Cleaning” but it was a mess. Women clothes filled the closet. The nightstand was cluttered with knitting and personal items. TV did not work. Bed was too small. Nursing staff was surly. Saw a doctor once in 12 days. Respiratory therapy non-existent. Physical therapist tried to fit me in. No therapy on weekends even though I was promised it. Under staffed. The best person was an aide who got me showered twice.

A few of the workers seem to actually care. However, the majority of the staff are nasty. They don't seem to want to do anymore than they need to. There were three behind the one nurses station and they didn't even look up when I approached. Finally I asked for something and I got a nasty response. I wasn't talking to the right aide for that patient. Many of the patients are bed ridden and do not necessarily know what is going on. The few that do seem very upset with the care.

My Mother is currently a resident at Manor Care, New Providence. Several years before I also had my Aunt cared for at this facility.. Mom receives the best care possible, by these loving and hard working people. I sleep at night knowing my mother is safe, clean and well cared for 24/7. I see my mother everyday and it is important to be present and advocate for your loved one when necessary, but, on a whole the staff at Manor Care New providence does a wonderful job take good care of my loved one. thank you Manor Care !

This is horrible facility that is ill equipped to deal with serious conditions. Yet, they take those cases anyway. My family member was in the facility with a terminal cancer and repeatedly requested for everything to be done to continue to save and prolong life. They eventually stopped giving water when swallowing became difficult. They had no means to provide water intravenously and did not move the patient to another facility or call an ambulance to take to the hospital. Days went by with no liquid. Dying of dehydration looked like a cruel death. Also, no Coroner in this town comes to verify the death. Any facility member can just file the death paperwork.
