I moved into Oakmont Livonia. I like the place. It's a nice place. It's got a lot of room. And the patio out there, you go out there in the summertime, and there's a lot of things to do. The staff is very good. The food is good. The structure of the building is sound. They have a computer room, a game room, and an exercise room. It's a friendly environment and they care about you.

We visited Oakmont Livonia's independent living. The place was very friendly. The lady who took us on the tour knew everybody by name, all the residents there. Everything is very clean and well-lit. They have benches throughout all the hallways, so if you're walking and you're tired, you can sit and rest. It's very nice. They have a restaurant for dining with a menu, and they have a workout area. They have a walking path all the way around the premises too. They even allow dogs. The people that I came in contact with were wonderful. I couldn't ask for any better.

Our experience with Oakmont Livonia-An Enhanced Senior Living Community has been pretty good. It's only been a few days since mom is there, but everything's gone smoothly. The staff has been good. Her apartment is good. There's a small kitchenette. I just wish it had a little bit more counter space, but other than that, the bedroom is a pretty good size. It's got a walk-in closet, bathrooms plenty big, there's a walk-in shower, and a couple of other little closets. The space is pretty nice. They have an activities room, so they have bingo, a movie night, a dining room, a library, a game room, and a beauty salon. There's a little walking path outside and a 3-season porch in front, which is kind of nice to go outside. Mom said the food were in small portions, but they were OK.

My mom moved to Oakmont Livonia. This week they did a ladies' patriotic tea, they did bingo, and puzzles, they have exercise, and they do crafts. A lot of the residents are out and doing stuff, they take trips to the different stores for shopping, and will have special things going on if there's like a holiday. I haven't tried the food but my mom really likes it, she says it's OK. They did away with their memory care, and I would like to see them have their memory care back again.

My parents moved into Oakmont Livonia, and it is very nice. So far, so good. It's everything you need. It's big enough and the price is right. The facility is actually very nice. So far, everything's been beautiful and great. My mom's been doing some kind of fitness/workout activity. They have book clubs, wine tasting, and little concerts. So far, they really like the food; they said it's excellent. It has great, beautiful grounds. The building is very, very nice inside; it's like living on a cruise ship or in a nice hotel.

Oakmont Livonia is not a huge facility. I think it has like 150 residents or so, probably under 200. It's very nice. It's within easy reach of all the freeways because it's just kind of like a major cross street. It is still tucked back enough where it feels very private when you're in the rooms. We've been satisfied. I like the personnel. I think somebody comes in daily and just kind of empties the trash basket, and once a week they collect laundry, I haven't had any complaints at all with the staff. It's called enhanced independent living. They do have some therapy people on site. You pay for that extra, so that's the enhanced part of it. A foot doctor comes in once a month and then there's another physician who comes in. You could pay these people for their services; it's not part of the rental. The only thing that's covered basically is the electricity, gas, food (three meals a day), and some of the housekeeping. My mother-in-law moved in three months ago. We got a one bedroom for her because we felt it was more like home. She wanted several of her things from the house that she used to live in. I think it was just $200 or $300 more to have an apartment with the main room and the bedroom. It's pretty nice in size, and she's got windows on each side of the rooms (which is a nice thing too). They have activities every day. Today there was a bingo game at 2:00 pm if you wanted to participate. There was somebody who was doing something spiritual. It was something about Jesus. There's usually like four different things. There's an activity director, and then sometimes if there's something special like today was National Hostess day. So at dinner time, they served, like a hostess cupcake for dessert. They seem to be pretty aware, and they try to introduce things that are pleasant for people to participate in. At this point, I have nothing negative. The young lady who sits at the front desk when you come in is always polite. There's a few statuary things like art pieces, which is nice. When you walk in, it's visually pleasant and clean. There's this little old lady that's there, and she's vacuuming. I think she's worked for them for 30 years, which is a positive thing. She's probably in her 70's herself, but she says, "I love doing this."

I cannot recommended this facility to anyone. My parent lived here and we experienced many, many issues. I could not leave money here as it kept disappearing. Many, many items disappeared either from the apartment or via the laundry. Much money was spent replacing those items. Most of the day-to-day workers are fine, but administration is severely lacking in people skills. Their favorite line, "This is independent living". If I had a dime for every time I heard that I'd be wealthy. Save your money, find a better facility.

I liked Oakmont Livonia. It was nice and they gave me a really good tour, explained things to me, and gave me plenty of information. They had different types of rooms and they were very nice. They had one which had a separate bedroom and dining room, and one that was less together. You can bring your own microwave and they have burners, but they don't have them connected. They do have a refrigerator.

The only place we visited is Oakmont where I am staying now. It is very good with the staff and the food; they provide three meals a day which some of the food is good sometimes, and at other times it isn’t, but that’s OK. I have a 2-bedroom apartment with a very small kitchen. The staff was very friendly and concerned about the people that lived there. They do not have too much recreation, but they do have a lot of entertainment. As of now I am very well satisfied.

Oakmont is a very nice facility. It's very clean. The rooms are a little small, but other than that, the common areas are very nice. It worked out well for us. They had a lot of activities for them to do. They had bingo. They do trips to the casinos, to go shopping. They have ice cream socials for them. The room is adequate. My parents are both in the independent living. My mom just has more services than my dad. Every time I've gone in there, the people have been very friendly, very helpful. I really have no complaints about it. I have peace of mind with them living there knowing that there's someone there to help them when they need it.

Oakmont is a retirement/assisted living facility. There are people living there who are retired and need no assistance, and there are also assisted living residents there, also. They don't do Alzheimer's care. They do have wheelchair patients, so I know they offer that type, but nothing as far as Alzheimer's or what I would call critical care. My mom needs shower assistance and medication assistance, and it's done through a company that is on-site called Balanced Home Care. It's absolutely gorgeous. This place looks like a landlocked cruiseliner when you walk through the doors. It's immaculately clean at all times. They provide all of your meals. That's included in the rent. When we first put my mother in there, we had lunch and dinner with her the first day she was there. It was like eating at a 5-star restaurant. The food and the staff are absolutely phenomenonal. They provide a small country store on-site. There is a beauty shop and a barber on-site, and laundry facilities that you can have your laundry done for you. They offer 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, and also studio apartments, which all are equipped with small kitchens. I am completely comfortable with her being there. I have no worries.

my mother is at Oakmont, and yes it is beautiful BUT, they are not perfect by far. We have tray service for my mother, she can have her meals brought up for any of the three meals, unfortunately that does not mean they are hot, not even warm. At 10:00am she request her lunch be brought up (11:00 is her scheduled lunch time) she will not see lunch til 1:00pm and it is served on styrofoam. Yes, they put it in the microwave. The real insult is we pay 375.00 extra for this service! Housekeeping is included, but they are only allowed to spend minutes in each room, so beds are through together, not made. Can you complain, yes, do things change not so much, everyone blames everyone else. I will say is looks pretty.

My brother has lived in this facility for almost a year. I visit often and always have found this place to be spotless. The food is always prepared in an appetizing manner and is quite good according to those I speak with. The staff there are always on hand and very helpful. Their attentiveness and pleasant demeanor is something every resident receives. I rated this facility 5 stars and it deserves it. Housekeeping and prescription management are part of my brothers care and they meet the standards set by the rest of the staff. I highly recommend this establishment.

Oakmont Livonia is a beautiful Independent living apartment complex the residents apartments are fit tailored made for the individual residents taste and needs. They offer studio apartments one and two bedroom apartments and they are very elegant residential housing apartments. I would recommend it to any and everyone 55 and over that are looking to live in an elegant and luxury retirement community. Their apartments are very spacious with a full kitchen and one or two bathrooms. The common areas were beautiful and the décor was very nice and the residents can also furnish their own apartments to fulfill their own individual taste. While there I noticed that they also provide their residents with three nutritional meals, housekeeping, maintenance services, and linen and laundry services. They also provide their residents with the highest level of quality care possible but they also encourage their residents towards their maximum levels of independence. Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a five stars rating for the beauty and courtyards, and acres of land that is so inviting. The common areas five stars rating for their onsite services, trained and skill caring staff that offers their residents all levels of care and onsite therapy as well. The residents' apartments were very clean with matching decor. The staff a five stars rating quality of the care a five stars rating. The residents were socializing with one another and the staff was interacting with some of the residents the residents seemed pleased and happy. Overall, I would give Oakmont Livonia a rating of five stars because their residents receive excellent care there in there independent living apartments. Their common areas were very elegant and there common grounds were spectacular and the beauty of the apartment complex was also elegant. They have 24/7 skilled and trained staff and they also offer respite, and short term care. And for low income residents they offer shared housing for them to share with one another to split the living expenses to fit each and every resident's individual financial needs. I think that this is awesome because it provides a way for low income residents to live in luxury style in spite of their financial situations.
