I visited this facility

We're going to move into Baywoods of Annapolis. It provides all the continuing services as a community. It has independent living, assisted living, rehab, and skilled nursing. It's a beautiful facility located right on Chesapeake Bay. It has a lot of activities. It has a beautiful dining room, a beautiful cafe, a beautiful workshop for the men, and it has covered parking. It's a very nice facility. The staff who toured us around knew everything about it. He knew a lot of the residences, and he made arrangements for us to go in and look at the existing residences that were there. We ate at a cafe there and it was very good. The place was first class. Also, the entrance fee was very reasonable.

Baywoods was just what we needed when my wife lost the ability to climb stairs. Our 5 years there were made immeasurably better by the excellent quality of the staff. These are people who did everything from cleaning our apartments every week, feeding us restaurant quality food everyday, taking care of residents in countless ways, and managing the facility, including selling apartments when necessary. I can't think of any improvements to suggest. Thank you Baywoods of Annapolis. I found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful and willing to put up with so many questions from so many people. And always with a smile. I think the Baywoods website and Facebook pages can answer most of the other questions about the rooms and the activities. One thing it doesn't say on those sites is how incredibly well insulated each apartment is from sound from other apartments. We never heard a thing from any of the 4 apts around us.

I visited this facility

We went to tour BayWoods of Annapolis. When we got there, we met the marketing director for the facility. That gentleman was very gracious, answered all our questions, and gave a great tour of the entire facility, going around the grounds through their physical therapy areas, and their exercise rooms. They have an indoor pool there. They have a combination of independent living apartments and assisted living rooms. And so, he was able to show us a couple of examples of their assisted living apartments, which are very nice and very well laid out. This particular place offered many more options in terms of the size of rooms, and it's a little bit more upscale. It was also on the water location here in Annapolis, Maryland, where the facility was sitting right on the Chesapeake Bay, which my father-in-law would have loved. On the assisted living side, their rooms were all one bedroom with a sitting area. You had a bedroom, you had a full bath, and then you had a sitting area. And these would be more accommodating for a couple to stay together. BayWoods of Annapolis is a more expensive place. You purchase the apartment and upon the end of life for the resident, you then have to sell the apartment to get your money back. Their monthly fees were pretty much in line with the type of facility that it is. They were just pretty much commensurate with the living expenses you'd expect in Annapolis.

I visited this facility

Baywoods of Annapolis was a beautiful place. They had all levels of care. The dining area was beautiful, and the rooms were very ample and pretty. You can kind of remodel them yourself and add your preferred appliances. It was a very busy facility. The residents were doing a lot of things. They were having exercise class, and they were going on a field trip and all that kind of stuff. The staff was top-notch.

I love BayWoods. From the moment my mother moved into her gorgeous, bright and sunny 1 bedroom Chester apartment, we knew that she made a great choice in moving to BayWoods. When my children saw her apartment--with its high ceilings, spacious open-plan and great sunny porch, they were so surprised. My only wish is that she had made the move sooner. At 96, with some health challenges, in the middle of Covid, she experienced part of this wonderful residential community but was unable to fully enjoy everything BayWoods has to offer. She did take full advantage of the wonderful support and care at BayWoods--both through frequent visits with the nurse in the clinic, working with the excellent PT and OT staff, and health and wellness. She also had the benefit of the most caring and compassioned nurses, social worker and many others who made up her BayWoods health care team. My mom experienced independent living, rehab, skilled nursing and long term care in a few short months and at every stage, BayWoods was superb. I have nothing but praise for our experience at BayWoods and that's without all of the fun and games I observed going on -- corn hole, putting greens, walking paths, aerobics, swimming, lectures, musical performances, films, you name it. I am grateful that my mom was able to experience BayWoods. It is just terrific.

Other

We researched a variety of retirement communities for our mother and Baywoods of Annapolis was the best. In fact, it was better than expected. Our only regret is that she did not move in sooner given the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy life to the fullest. Baywoods is like a cruise ship that never docks. The amenities are wonderful and the location and views of the water among the best in Annapolis. There is a gym, swimming pool, putting green, and boardwalk to and along the water. There is an arts and crafts center and a woodworking shop. There is a health center, and should you need it, a rehabilitation facility so you can stay at Baywoods when recovering from an illness or injury. There is underground parking and not one but two restaurants. The dining is outstanding with one of the top chefs in Annapolis. There are non-stop activities including live music, shows, movies and every holiday party you can name. If you wish to go out, there is a bus to take you shopping or dining, or to other appointments. There are all sorts of clubs you can join and weekly religious services in-house. You own your own apartment, but they take care of any problems including changing a light bulb! The hallways and common space were renovated this year with new carpeting, lighting, and new furniture. You can pick from a variety of apartment styles, sizes, and views but all are beautiful and functional. But beyond the facility itself are the outstanding employees and service. Everyone is so nice, and loving and caring. The staff are very attentive and helpful from the receptionist, to housekeeping and maintenance, to dining and all other services. We could not have been happier with the choice of Baywoods of Annapolis.

I was in rehab here for over five weeks after hip surgery.. I would give it six stars if I could. The entire staff was professional, caring and competant . Special mention to the Physical Therapy staff who are outstanding. The nurses and aides were very helpful and made a long stay bearable. The physical plant is modern , pleasant and very well maintained. I would highly reccomend Baywoods to anyone who needs their services.

I spent five weeks recuperating in the Health Care Facility at Baywoods recently. In this area, I could not have found a better place to recuperate. Virtually all the staff I encountered were excellent, including the Physical Therapy team, the Occupational Therapy team, the Nurses, the Aids and the Dining Services staff. The Baywoods facility really helped my quick recovery.

BayWoods of Annapolis is the best in the whole world. You can't ask for anything more scenic. They're right on the Chesapeake. They have a pier, a croquet, and a little putt putt course. It's absolutely gorgeous, so serene and lovely. The staff was very good. I have no complaints with my mother being there in their assisted living and now in the Arbor. It's great for everything. I have no complaints about the food. They have a pool, a gym, a bank, and a beauty parlor. They've got everything there. They have many activities, and you can sign up if you want to. They provide the transportation. However, it's very expensive. You buy your apartments when you're in the independent living, and my parents got a 2-bedroom, 2-bath. They have 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom, which are very nice.

My mother is now in the Arbor at Baywoods, and I have no complaints. It only goes up 6 floors. There's an east side, west side, and the middle. There's a library and a bar, and they have happy hour. The staff is A-OK. The food is alright. The facilities are very nice. She has a bathroom and a room, which is sufficient for her. There are also suites there.

I visited BayWoods (BayWoods of Annapolis). The place was lovely, and the people were lovely, but it was out of the way for me. The feel was lovely, and the look was great though. Everybody that I met was extremely friendly. It wasn't very large, and I don't know how many residents there were, but everyone we met was delightful. It would be a lovely place to live. There have everything including a miniature golf and putting greens.

My husband was referred to Bay Woods of Annapolis after he was discharged from Anne Arundel Medical Center for Physical Therapy . Excellent Rehab Staff all with a Masters or PHD Degrees. Nurses and doctors keep you apprised of progress and the patient is staffed by a treatment team. What a gift to him as well as Annapolis. Beautiful facility on the Bay with an awesome staff. Everyone was friendly and compassionate. The food was amazing, chefs terrific, servers the best. Bay Woods has multiple restaurants from formal dining rooms,a Bistro or you can eat in your private room. ALL employees were very helpful and supportive.

I am moving in soon at Baywoods of Annapolis because it looks like a very nice community on the waterfront. The people seemed very pleasant. It offers all of the amenities that we’re interested in. There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The food is excellent.

We are a hundred percent very impressed with Baywoods and we are very happy here. It is a beautiful community and it is right on the Chesapeake Bay. The food is not excellent, but it is good, and they are always trying to improve it. My husband is at a food meeting right now discussing how they can improve, but it is definitely good, and they really care about giving you great food. The staff has been taking courses and they are very friendly, outgoing, and they try to help you very willingly. They are very nice; excellent. It wasn't always that way, but now it is. We have bridge, art lessons and poker, and we have a beautiful pool and a health center. The health center is an attached building, so you walk down the hall to get into it. It has 47 beds, so that if you or your husband gets sick you can go there. It is very handy and the staff seemed to be excellent. We have a very nice workout room, a very good trainer who is very conscientious, very helpful, and always thinking of new ways to get us out there exercising. The pool is really beautiful; it is a special pool for a retirement community. And then, we have a croquet porch, a dock that goes out into the Chesapeake Bay for fishing, and an 18 hole putting green that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay, which is absolutely beautiful. We have a little fishpond with a bridge going over; very attractive. The building was made about 15 years ago and it is still very attractive. The grounds have a lot of trees, old trees, and the building is a horse shoe shape with the trees in the middle and there are a couple of paths to get to the trees. We have deer and foxes, and it is a very nice walk; there is a wooden deck-like path through the woods.

I was able to tour around BayWoods and I saw that the apartments are very spacious. The one that I was interested in had a view of the bay. The place is very quiet also. The food was excellent. The people were very nice and the staff were very pleasant.

At Baywoods of Annapolis you need to buy your room here and when you die your heiress needs to sell it. They allow animals and they have underground parking amenities. Their rooms are a little bit bigger, but I don’t like the location of the place. I liked the size of the rooms.

We choose Baywoods for my friend because the setting is good, and it is convenient for us to get to him. The best thing I like there is the staff. We are happy with way the staff treats him because he is cared for. He has a single room, which is fine, and they are nice enough to furnish it for us. I personally have not eaten there, but I see his food, and it looks fine, and he likes it. Right now, he does physical and occupational therapy because he is recovering from a stroke.

The main thing I like about Baywods is Chesapeake Bay, I do like the water and you could walk out of your apartment and walk around. They have different size apartments. The only really distracting thing about it is you have to purchase the apartment and then you have to pay a monthly fee so it's quite involved.

Me and my husband are both living at Baywoods. The place is very expensive. After my husband got out from the hospital, he went there and he has been taken very good care of. This place came very highly recommended. The food is wonderful; very well chosen. They have several different dining rooms and have a lot of choice with what you want.

This is a wonderful retirement community/assisted living facility. There is an independent section where residents live on their own. There is also a wing for assisted living where residents can go if they can no longer be on their own. It's nice that their spouse can remain in the apartment and the husband/wife can be cared for in the same building. It has beautiful grounds, located right on the water. The apartments are very nice. The staff has been wonderful. Meals are included and are pretty good. There are a ton of activities, workout room, pool, library, bar, and many great amenities. All the residents seem to enjoy it very much. They provide van services around town to the grocery store, library and other locations. And there are lots of outings to plays, church, concerts and more. I would recommend this community to anyone as it is a wonderful place.
