We went to Sunrise of Severna Park. The place was beautiful, and everybody was very nice. It is just so expensive. For my mother, it would have been over $10,000 a month, so that was a little out of our budget. It was a lovely place, and the staff was very good. They had very nice private rooms. They also had shared rooms, but they didn't have any of those left. But they were very nice little efficiency-type apartments. The only thing that we didn't like was the price.

Sunrise of Severna Park was cozy. It was small and a little cramped when you get into the rooms, but they had a very nice staff and they were very welcoming. They have beautiful grounds. It's a wonderful location and it's very clean. They gave me a tour of some of the rooms for assisted living. We spent about 40 minutes initially before the tour just going over very carefully about everything, the costs, the expenses, and how they do things, just answering any questions that I had, so they were very thorough.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Severna Park and with the people. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. It was a much more home-type feeling within the community. The dining area was very clean and the staff was professional, and it looked like it was well-maintained.

I liked the space at Sunrise of Severna Park. I liked the atmosphere, the friendliness of it, and the convenience. I was interested in the 1-bedroom apartment, living room, little kitchenette type thing, and that's what they showed me. It had a refrigerator, a sink, and a microwave. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Our tour to Sunrise of Severna Park was excellent. The concierge that greeted us was very helpful and then the girl who took us on the tour was very, very good, very informative, and practically answered the questions before we asked. They were excellent. The place was very clean, very nice, and well-kept. We only got to see one apartment which was a larger one-bedroom, and it was very nice. I liked it a lot and so did my friend. It's just a little more than she could pay and we couldn't see like a medium one or anything because they were all full.

The gal at Sunrise of Severna Park, her name was Beth, was very helpful. I will be moving in there as an independent living and if I need more support, then I just move to the other building without any additional fees or penalties. It's an easy upgrade to more intense care when I need it. Also, that comes with a membership to a physical fitness club that's within walking distance. When I was there during the visit, there was a piano player singing songs to a group. There's an available snack bar as well as coffee and a popcorn machine during the day between meals. It's pretty nice. The studio apartment has a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. It's got a full bath with a shower. No tub. That room was about maybe 20 or by 20. They also have parking available so I can come and go at will, and have my car there so that I can still drive as I'm mobile. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They answered all the questions that I had.

I went to look at Sunrise of Severna Park. The overall layout was good. Everything was centrally located as far as amenities and common spaces. Everything was fairly new and updated. The staff was great and helpful. They have outdoor spaces that are nicely laid out. They were on a smaller land area, but they still have adequate walking trails, little park areas, and little benches set up everywhere for just taking a break and looking at the trees. The dining area was nice. It was restaurant-style seating arrangements. All the people that I saw or ran into were very good and happy. Most of them were busy reading, playing card games, and having a good time.

Though my wife's stay at Sunrise was very brief (final stages of Alzheimer's), the care she received here was stupendous! Every single member of the staff we encountered went above-and-beyond to make my wife - as well as myself and adult son - feel welcome and secure. How we loved the presence of the great dog and cat roaming in the Memory Care area! My endearing thanks to the entire facility for making my wife's final days as pleasant as they possibly could be.

We moved my mother into Sunrise of Severna Park about a month ago. I like the facility because it feels very welcoming when you walk in. I find the staff to also be very welcoming. I have gone on different times, on different days of the week to see how things are and have been pleased every time. And talking with my mom, she seems very happy with the facility, the staff, and the food. Mom's room is very bright. It's got lots of windows and lots of sunshine. They start you out with basic furniture, which is nice. She has the option that if she would like some additional furniture, we can either bring it ourselves or have it delivered there and they'll set it up for her. Or if there's something there that she would like to have that they have available, they would bring it into her room. She primarily hangs out in the open areas with everybody else, that's her preference. They do have a place outside of the memory care unit that they can go to that's secured and gated. The facility itself is very nice. They have constant activities and they keep them very busy. Activities are key for for my mom, so these programs have made a difference in allowing her to settle in. They do a very nice job. Her being there has given me a huge peace of mind. Sunrise of Severna Park certainly has helped the transition for both her and our family much better. When I went over there, the lady that I met helped me to onboard her and set everything up, that process was a 5-star. She was amazing. The process to get her set up and registered was terrific.

I toured Sunrise of Severna Park. They offer everything and they have buildings; one is for assisted living and the other one is for independent living. They're separated and they're lovely buildings. They have four sizes of rooms on both. The common areas are varied, and they are very clean. There is staff always available around when the clients are there. Everybody seems to be very pleasant and there doesn't seem to be any animosity of any sort. They have outside areas for both independent and assisted. The memory care is all enclosed so they can't wander off in the street or the woods, which I found very nice. They have seating, they can sit out there and it's a very nice area for them to walk around and experience outside. I talked to the ladies that were on the independent living side and they love the area. They've become very friendly. They have all kinds of workshops and special activities that they can participate in, and they seem to be very happy there. In the assisted living side, it was hard to talk to them because most of them are memory care patients, but they seem well taken care of. Their clothes were clean, and they had people that were always around them and assisting them in walking. Safety seems to be a major issue that they are aware of, and they ensure that the patient is safe. Each apartment has their own little kitchen and refrigerator. They are small in size, but they accomplished the mission. They could have a bed, a chair, walkers, and their oxygen tanks. They have a tiny table that sits two. The bathrooms are very safe, they have bars up in there and raised toilet seats. It's very safe for them to roll their walkers in there and they can go into the shower. They have a common area, like a living area with safe chairs to sit in, the sun shining, and they get to meet the others. So, it's very nice. The hallways are wide and safe. The dining areas are like being at home, with nice tables, and chairs. They look like they are in a fancy hotel, and they get to sit in a very nice environment. The tour experience was very nice. The person who took me around, Beth, was very knowledgeable and was well-known by the staff and the patients. She talked to everybody. She went by, and they felt comfortable with her.

Sunrise of Severna Park was a beautiful place. It was just too expensive. The rooms were very clean and very well-appointed. There are a lot of activities. They did provide two meals a day. There is memory care and assisted living on one side of the building and then independent living on the other. They had nice grounds for walking. Their parking situation wasn't very good. You didn't get to park right by the door. The staff during the tour was very nice. They charge quite a bit of money, but it's a five-star deal. They just provide more things than what my husband and I needed at the time.

Sunrise of Severna Park was a very nice and friendly place. It looked very open. They had a lot of long-term employees, and they had a lot of activities. The only downside was that in assisted living, they only had efficient studio apartments available and we were looking for a 1-bedroom apartment. It would have been fine if the accommodations were better. The staff was very friendly and outgoing, and they seem to care for their residents. They had a gym and an activity area, but they needed to update their furniture. It is located near restaurants.

The Sunrise of Severna Park was very clean and it seemed quiet. It has a very serene, quiet, and peaceful atmosphere. I toured their independent living and the person who assisted me was so helpful. She showed us a couple of facilities. She showed me a 1-bedroom apartment and an efficiency apartment. She showed us around the grounds and told us about their plumbing facilities, and their activities. She's very, very helpful. During the tour, she said the residents had gone somewhere near the Naval Yard and I did see the bus they had used. Actually, on another day, I saw the bus dropping off some of the residents so that they could go shopping. The dining area was clean. We saw one person there eating. She told us about the meals, how there was a continental breakfast type of thing and a regular dinner. Lunch was either on your own or you can purchase the lunch from them too.

We had an excellent experience touring Sunrise of Severna Park. We met with Beth and she explained everything about the independent living side. She shared all the information about the fees and did an excellent job in answering all of our questions. The only thing they had available was the medium size two-bedroom, and we would have been interested in the larger one. Everything was appropriately taken care of. We walked down to where the breakfast was served and everything was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and well-managed from what we can see. On our way out, there was a group of ladies that were working on a puzzle. They got one of those large puzzles, so every time you walk right in, you just sit down and find a few pieces. We stopped by and chatted with them for a minute and they were very friendly. So, there was nothing negative about the experience.

I will be moving into Sunrise of Severna Park. I was able to see everything. The people looked happy. It was well organized. I was very pleased with it, but I was also pleased because I knew that's where I wanted to go. I was visiting a friend for a year and a half there, and I could see how they took care of people. The staff was all friendly and helpful. The facility was clean, cleaner than my house. They have a calendar of events. The care that my friend got was good, that's why I wanted to be there. When he was there, I thought that this is where I wanted to be. It's sort of shaped like a C. There are three floors, and I'm on the third floor, and so I get to look at the trees. There are trees all around, so everybody gets to see the trees. They have a walkway where you can get from one building to the other. My friend was in assisted living. Also, a couple of weeks ago, when I brought one of my daughters to see it, and a friend because she's interested, she looked at it, and she liked it.

Sunrise of Severna Park was nice. I liked it overall. I liked the location because it's close to me, which is helpful. My friend needs a high level of care, which they had (because a lot of these places don't have that or they have a nursing home that they want to go into). I didn't want him in a nursing home. I wanted him in assisted living where he could get around with other people and have high-level care. It fits my needs. It also looked clean inside, and everybody was friendly. They took me to a lot of different rooms, showed me a lot of different areas, and were very informative, very helpful, and knew what they were talking about.

Sunrise of Severna Park was very nice, but their one-bedroom was a little too small for what I was looking for. Outside that, the place was very nice, very clean, and the people were very nice. The lady that was with me showed me the whole complex and the two apartments, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom apartment. They had the same amenities as the others, a refrigerator, and a washer and dryer area, then a garden, a patio, and trails that you could walk on. It was also a little far for me, and I was trying to get something close to my family.

Sunrise of Severna Park would definitely be our next option; it is just that with COVID, we weren't ready to move. For independent living, I definitely like that place. It was very clean and spacious. The common area was very clean, standard, and nice. The staff who conducted the tour was excellent, and that was one of the considerations because the warm reception there was wonderful.

We were only able to tour the independent living section of Sunrise of Severna Park. They weren't allowing in-person tours in the assisted living section because of COVID. The woman was very nice. She took her phone with her and went over into the assisted living where the suite was, and we FaceTimed each other so I could see it. I thought they did a good job protecting the residents and doing the best they could to show me everything. They provide activities like arts and crafts, music services, trips, and outdoor things.

Sunrise of Severna Park was very clean. Everything was excellent. The rooms weren't as big as we thought they were going to be for my parents, but it wouldn't be a problem for an average person. The staff was excellent. They were better than any other place we went to. They had transportation for doctors' appointments and shopping, exercises, they served 3 meals a day, and they had activities for the weekend.

I love Sunrise of Severna Park. It's wonderful, and the staff is very pleasant and very caring. When they see you, they always smile and acknowledge you or the resident. They have a lot of patience with the elderly. My in-laws' room is fine. I just wish they had more two-bedroom, two-bath apartments. They both like the food. My mother-in-law is at the lowest level of assisted living, and my father-in-law is at the highest level of assisted living. They have bingo, outdoor activities, a garden, music, somebody comes and plays the piano, and there are parties. It's very clean, looks very homey, and it's almost like a hotel. They take them out of the room and put them in group rooms. It's just awfully expensive. There are a lot of other costs that get thrown on top of the base price, but they were very willing to work with us and do what they could to help the family make a decision.

My mother is settled into Sunrise of Severna Park. It's a beautiful and a very nice place. It's almost like a big home and it's very pleasant. They have great food and it's very close to where I live, so it would be easy for me to dash over there to see my mom. The staff members seemed to be very friendly and competent in checking in on her and being nice to her. My mom has physical therapy and exercises so she's getting stronger and is able to move better. She was losing weight but that's stabilized and she's eating better. She likes the food. It's a lot of money, but it's worth it, and it's in line with other assisted living places.

We visited Sunrise of Severna park, and it was our top choice. They were doing a trivia game when we walked in, the staff told us they have cookouts in the summer, gardening, Bridge clubs, and they have an area where people can sit and chat. Once a week the residents can go to Giant, or the library, and they serve two meals a day.

Sunrise of Severna Park was a very nice place. The salesperson I was supposed to meet couldn’t be there, so they had the head of custodial department meet us. She was nice, but she wasn’t the person who sells. Somebody was singing to the residents in an area. I liked that it could handle both assisted and independent living.

Sunrise of Severna Park was also a facility that was quite modern. I thought the rooms were probably fair. They tend to be smaller, and the rooms that they showed and listed as two rooms were really one oddly shaped room, not really a second room with a door. The bathroom facilities were quite good. The general facility was quite good.

My first impression of Sunrise of Severna Park was that it was clean and cheerful, and new but not super modern. It had wallpaper and things that made it homey. They had a resident dog, and everyone was really friendly and seemed happy. I didn’t see people sad or miserable and trudging around, just happy people. That was a nice feeling to have when we walked in the door. The staff was so friendly, and if somebody couldn’t answer a question, they would find out the answer. For the most part, they knew their stuff and the answers to questions, though. We were able to tour several of the different types of rooms and met the activities director/coordinator who was super nice. They were about to have a little concert and were bringing children in from a special music school who were going to sing to them. They were like eight years old and so cute. There was a little bistro that served snacks, like popcorn, and an actual restaurant for lunch that smelled good. The staff was really good about explaining how things work. We never felt rushed, and so, not only did we get to tour the place, but we sat down in a room and really talked, which was nice.

I visited Sunrise. Everyone seems to be extremely pleasant, cheerful and very nice. The facility, the assisted living and the retirement area were very spacious and bright. It was a very nice place. The apartments were furnished nicely. It was very comfortable. They had posted their activities, and that was one thing that I liked about them. It looked like they not only brought people in, and they took people out who were in the retirement community, but also the people who were in the assisted living community were also encouraged to go outside of the facility. The dining area was nice. It was not a fancy one. It was more like a grab-and-go kind of place. I would recommend it to others.

I went to Sunrise of Severna Park. It looked like a pleasant bed and breakfast, but then the rooms were small. I was not very pleased with the rooms themselves. I had lunch there, and there was plenty of food. It was nutritious food, but it was not anything extra.

The one I like most was Sunrise. I liked it because it was beautiful and very elegant. It was very expensive, so it was out of our price range, but I’d live there myself. The staff was informative and accommodating. They took us on a tour and showed us everything. They said that they have people moving out quite often because they are near an army thing, so sometimes they have older people who want to stay there for a little while, but not for a long time. The rooms were gorgeous. They have their own little dining room, and they have a café. It didn’t look anything like a senior home. I would recommend it to anybody who could afford it.

Sunrise is of high quality. The staff was wonderful, friendly, warm, accommodating, and they were all great, all top-notch. They all seemed to really care about the patients. There are therapists and exercise activities, and she likes pet walking.

Sunrise has a larger dementia community. I found it to be very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly, very pleasant, and they were all glad to see me and welcomed me on the tour. I just thought it was too large. It was very clean and well maintained. I didn't see any problems. The rooms were a little larger.

Sunrise of Severna is in a good location and the facility is beautiful. They had access to a lot of the things and the close-by environment where people can go shopping, and also access to transportation, so that was good. They had a lot of events in terms of theatre, plays, and entertainment that the residents got together for, and we liked that. There seemed to be a lot of involvement by the residents.

My mom is in Sunrise of Severna Park right now. This is our choice for her because it is really close, about 25 miles from our home. The facility is very nice. It is upscale but it costs money too. However, I like how gorgeous the facility is. I'm very happy with the place. My mother has a very nice room. She has her own furniture in there from home. She has been in this facility for three and a half months now and she's happy there. They have many activities there like bingo, trivia, bus trips, etc. They go out to lunch once in a while on the facility bus. Their dining room is very nice; however, food is something they could improve on. It is not all that great. They're kind of bland and repetitive. They need better menu because there's not much to choose from. Food is the only drawback for this facility.
