I moved into Crestwood Village South. They have activities and buses to take me to stores. They have bingo and activities on the Wii, we have chair exercise, and there's a mini gym where you can do exercises on machines. They have a walking club. They have movies that you can go to that are free. They have dining out according to what you can afford. They have ladies' tea and a men's club. They have a Donut Day where you have donuts and coffee in the morning and chitchat about people in your building and information that you need to know. They always have a birthday party every month for people who have birthdays in your building. You're allowed to have pets. Your electricity, your gas, and your water are all included in the rent. You have a balcony, a little kitchenette, and a closet. You provide your own food. The staff members are very nice and treat you with respect. The facility is very good. They upkeep them all the time. It's very clean and organized well. I'm very pleased with it. They have so many activities, that I can't keep up with them.

I went to Crestwood Village South. Their staff turns over all the time. No continuity in their staff. Residents would have to carry their trash out to a generalized trash collection. There are no laundry facilities available in their rooms even in independent living. They have to be able to carry their laundry or move their laundry down to the general laundry room on each floor. The units were very small. No dishwashers, which was a real negative for my mom. No food is available onsite, nothing available because they closed down their food service last summer. I wasn't impressed. Independent living is all they offer there now because they got rid of everything else. They need to update their facilities. I only interacted with one staff member, but she's already quit. She stayed there six months and she's already gone. They had an exercise room, they had a bus for transportation, and they had a salon.

Crestwood Village South is a nice facility. It's very clean, and it keeps the clients very busy. It's nice for people who want to play bingo, go socialize, play cards in the evenings, movies, and things like that, and they have a nice clubhouse. It's a nice place for seniors to live. I'm a lot younger than most of the average people there and I still work so I'm not there that much, but from what I've seen they have a great care for the 55 and older group. They cut food out though. That was a plus and it was nice, but then there weren't enough people going in to have a cook on salary, the food, and everything. Everybody has their own kitchen and stuff, so it's not a big loss. And they have a bus that'll take you to any other place if you want to go eat or anything like that. I would say some of the staff are friendly. You always get some that are kind of grouchy all the time, but you learn fast to stay away from them. For the most part, they treat them very nicely. For activities, they have Wii bowling that they can play on the TV, they have card games, and they have bingo. They have a place for people that like to do puzzles and they have a nice fireplace if you want to go down and sit in the foyer so you can socialize with friends and watch a movie and stuff like that. They have a theater and a clubhouse. It's a very nice facility. They also pay for your utilities.

Crestwood Village South is an older complex. I remember when it was built when I was a teenager, but they seemed to be well taken care of. I talked to a couple of people who live there, and they said that they're pretty good about maintaining the building. They seemed to really like living there. They like the fact that the utilities were all included in their rent as well, and that sounds pretty reasonable. I went to visit somebody there a few years ago, and we went over to their dining area and got something to eat. I found it to be a pleasant atmosphere. The food was good. It was better than what I expected from a senior facility. The room that I was in seemed to be plenty roomy unless you're somebody like me that collects all the things. They had a little laundry area on the first floor. There's a nice community area with a big television. At the time, there was a piano there. The outside was pretty good. There's plenty of walking areas. They had a full calendar of activities. They had Wii bowling and different competitions such as that. They had euchre night. They need a much better elevator because it's very small.

I'm at Crestwood Village South, and I love it here. It's very nice and well kept. It's a good value for the money. I like it very much. They have a lot of activities. Personally, I don't join them, or I haven't yet. There's no reason for anybody to not have anything to do, as far as that goes. They have something going on all the time, every day of the week; Sunday you're on your own. During the week, there are all kinds of different activities in your building, in other buildings, and the main clubhouse. They have everything here that you really need except the grocery store. They don't furnish your meals. I have a one-bedroom apartment and a little galley kitchen. You buy your own food. They have a cafeteria here if you want to go down there. I have not met that many staff, but the maintenance man that takes the trash out for each floor is really nice. The building manager is super nice. Everybody's really nice. They come right away. It's a good place. I'm satisfied. I think it's reasonably priced.

I was very impressed with Crestwood Village South. I think I'm going to be very happy living there. Everyone was very nice and very good. They explained everything to me about what they provide and what they don't. We went on a tour and looked at one of the model apartments, and it couldn't have been nicer. They have a lot of very nice amenities. Their dining area is like a bistro set up. It's very nicely decorated and nicely laid out. They have a place where you can drop your trash off inside the apartments and then someone comes in and takes it. So, you don't have to go outside. All your mailboxes are inside as well. Mostly every day, they have different activities that they've set up for everybody. They have a communal lounge place where you can go and just sit and read or play games. They had coffee if you wish to do that, and they also had a little library set up with books where you could borrow a book. I'm a big jigsaw puzzle lover and they have a big jigsaw puzzle area where you can either work it there or take it to your apartment. Transportation to shopping areas, grocery stores, and banks are provided at least 2 to 3 times a week. You could join in as much as you wanted or just be on your own if that's what you wish to do. I was impressed with it. Each building has its own supervisor inside (someone who lives there) so if you have any problems, that's who you go to and that's who you pay your rent to. Since it's three-story building (except for the single-story at the very back), they have elevators and stairs. The grounds were nicely trimmed and very nice. The one-bedroom apartment was very nicely laid out. It had a kitchen with a stove, a refrigerator, a double sink, a big pantry, a little place for a table and chairs, and then your living area with the patio (if you're on the ground floor) or a balcony (if you're on the second/third floor). When you go down the hall, there's a big storage area and then on the other side is your bedroom, which has a full window. At the end of the hallway is your bathroom. I liked all the hallways. It had a rail all the way along, so if you have difficulty walking, then you can hold on to that and go around. The builders were cinder block, so the sound doesn't travel very much. It would be quiet. They have a big ballroom with TVs and a big piano. With COVID 19, they had to curtail some activities to a certain extent, but they were just starting it back up again. They do dances and have get-togethers. They have gathering areas where you can have people come over with tables, chairs, TVs, and a place where you can put food out. They have a doctor and a nurse practitioner who are on duty at all times. The staff were very courteous and they made you feel that you were the only one that they were involved with. They're very personable.

I'm in Crestwood Village South. My experience has been good. I like the fact that it's very independent. I don't have to worry about any maintenance or outside care. Everything's covered with my rent. It is very well kept. They have just all types of events, a dining room, vacations, and you can sign up for social events. The staff is very professional, very caring, and on the ball.

I'm at Crestwood Village South. It's a 55 and over facility. It's pretty nice here and it's pretty clean. They've got nurses that you can actually use if you get sick. They have the assisted living over there, too. They've got workout rooms and common areas and other things where you don't have to go outside, do the laundry, and go to the mailbox and all that stuff, so it's pretty nice and convenient. My room happens to have a regular tub, but some of the units have a cutout to where you can walk in it and just take a shower, so you don't have to worry about stepping over the rail. They're kind of like walk-ins, but they look like a tub. They can't find good help though. Some of their maintenance guys are kind of sloppy with their work, but the management seems real nice. There's a little bit of maintenance problems. They don't get to things real quick. There's plenty of parking. Everything looks real nice on the outside, kept up grass, cut, all that. They have a cafeteria over there, but the prices are pretty high, so I don't go over there and eat. I've eaten there once, and the food was good. They have bingo night, a little workout hour where everybody can go, the older people can go, too, and kind of work their muscles a little bit. I'm still kind of young to be doing all that. They have like a donut morning where everybody can come and have free coffee, and donuts are like 50 cents. They do that every week. It's on a weekly basis, what they do. Every month they'll give you a pamphlet telling you birthday parties and stuff like that. The location and the price you pay actually isn't too bad. You can't find anything cheaper. It's about the cheapest place around.

I'm living in Crestwood Village South for two years now. I like it real well and I've got a nice apartment. I'm not across from another building. I like my location and I'm on the ground floor because I have a dog. The ones I've met have been very, very nice, especially Cindy, who is the apartment manager. The maintenance man and the yard crew, everybody's been really nice. I take care of my own needs as far as food goes. I've never eaten in the restaurant. I just stay in my room and eat. As usual, there are always gossips around which I avoid, but the atmosphere has been good. They have bingo and euchre, and they have a Wii that they play with a lot. They have special stuff going on over in the cafeteria, but I never go to it. They have trips that they schedule and they've got a bus that takes you around places, so it's good. I'm happy here. The facility is nice. They've got a real nice laundry room and mail area. It's very suitable. I'm very thrilled to be here. I've been here two years now, so I know what I'm talking about. I like it real well. I don't get involved with activities because my vision is poor, but they have activities for those that want to get involved with them.
