Nice place for healthy seniors-lots of activities. Just don't get sick or unable to care for yourself-bad news!

We went to Atherton Place. It had great potential but it was in serious need of updating. The pink color was a sort of faded rose fleshy color and all the curtains, the decoration, and the furniture looked like it needed to be updated. It was depressing in that way. The person who helped me was very nice and helpful. We did have a meal there, and it was good. The people were helpful and friendly. The chef came out and introduced herself. It looked like there was a good selection, so everything was fine food-wise.

Atherton Place was fantastic. The people were all happy and you can have very small pets there. They had a lovely apartment that we could very easily live in. It was affordable, but we can't take our dogs there because they're too big. Everybody was nice. They had balconies and sunrooms that overlooked the Kennesaw Mountain, which was beautiful. It's right in the heart of all of our doctors; we could walk to them. They even take you to your doctor's office in a wheelchair, so you don't have to drive over there. They had an indoor pool and water aerobics. The people we met said they were so good to them, and they were mostly single women. There were not a lot of couples. I would recommend them.

She is in Atherton Place and she moved a couple of months ago. We chose it because of the proximity to where she has been living. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't want to live in their rooms. They're very small, but they will do. She has a small kitchen, and it's like an efficiency apartment, so it's nice. It has a balcony that overlooks the mountain. It's very clean.
