My parents are in Celebration Village. It's an excellent facility. They still care for the independent recipients even though they're not in the assisted living part. They still make sure they're taken care of, so they're not independent in other words. They still have constant care. The staff is excellent. I don't worry about them knowing the level of care the employees give the recipients. They have gaming, music, crafts, and movies, they have doctors that come in and see the residents at that facility, and they have physical therapy. They have three meals a day for anyone that wants to go over and have that or they take them to their apartments. They provide transportation for them to medical appointments and groceries and shopping and whatever else they need. They're located in an area where everything is within 5 to 10 minutes of either a car ride or a walk for shopping or groceries or medical care, drycleaning and UPS, and things you might need.

I toured Celebration Village Acworth. The rooms were beautiful. The apartments are absolutely beautiful. One thing I really liked was that everyone had either a private balcony or a patio. That was really nice. I think they have two meals a day, and the dining room, which was really nice. They also have a little cafe that's open all the time. It has the usual things in the library, they have a small gym, and a beauty shop to get your haircut. The staff was very sweet and very nice.

My parents moved into Celebration Village Acworth, but my mother wanted to come back home, so we moved back home. It has nothing to do with the facility. It was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper and offered a lot more. It's a bigger facility. They pushed their call buttons and nobody showed up for an hour, so the response time was not what they told us. They have a little living room and then a wall and then a bedroom. When you first walk in the door, there's a very small kitchenette. And then it kind of blends into the den, and then you have a wall and then you have a very small bedroom with actually a fairly good-sized bathroom. But they have many floor plans to choose from. They've got arts and crafts, and gardening, and people come to entertain them with music and singing. They have a lot of activities. It's a very large place for them to navigate.

My wife will be moving into Celebration Village Acworth within the next month. We have all of the requisite conditions met by this facility. There were so many activities that were possible there. One of the things that attracted me was eventually, I could move in there too. I was pleased with the fact that they had a nice little exercise room with lots of equipment and they had a pool. It had well-kept grounds and it had a very pleasant atmosphere. It was just immaculate. We walked through one of the rooms where people were eating lunch, and the food looked good to me. We saw a full plate there. The first time we arrived, they had a group there having a little concert of 60's and 70's music, which appeals to people of our age. And they were quite good. There was a lot of participation from the residents. They also had karaoke night once a week. The staff was very pleasant, very friendly, and very nice.

I toured Celebration Village Acworth and it was beautiful. The thing I liked the most was that it was very clean, it was very well-maintained, and they had a lot of amenities that seemed really nice and helpful for everybody. I also love that they had this wall for veterans and any of the veterans or spouses of veterans that live in or have lived in the facility. They put a picture of those veterans on the wall, which they called a wall of fame. It was really, really touching. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind and she was funny. She knew what she was talking about as far as the location and everything they have to offer.

We loved Celebration Village. I liked the options in the club area. There were several rooms for different activities. There's a craft room, a theater room, an activity room where they do Wii bowling, a treatment room, and a social room for maybe card games or board games. It's like a center square. There's a coffee shop and a casual lunch place. The dining room is all connected to this sort of town square. It's very nice and very social. The units were very large with plenty of space. We looked at two-bedroom options. The only drawback was that the second bedroom has a tub, which to me makes absolutely no sense. If you're coming in as a 70- or 80-year-old, a tub isn't really a wise choice. They should have had both bathrooms with a walk-in shower or a walk-in tub. Other than that, I thought everything was positive. All appliances are there. The kitchen is fully appointed. It's a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator. The staff was extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. There's a courtyard and a heated pool.

The staff at Celebration Village was excellent. I liked that the dining room, the eating areas, the fitness room, the arts and crafts room, and the theater were all located on the main floor. On that main floor, there were different sitting areas where you could sit and read, meet with your friends, or just watch people. It just felt comfortable there. They have different size rooms. The smallest one was a studio and it was very small. You would have to be pretty nifty with storage, but it would be manageable for one person. The two bedrooms were lovely. Some have better views than others. I was looking at one room that overlooked the rooftop, so that wasn't very lovely at all, but it had lovely woods at the back and beautiful landscaping. The only downside in this place was that most of the apartments were separate from the main building. So, you would need to go outside if you'd go to the dining room. It's not very far, but you would have to walk across a driveway and a little walkway. If the weather was bad, it would be a little bit uncomfortable to walk. Also, I had eaten their vegetable soup and it was a little bit salty to me. Other than that, the place was lovely. The person who was giving the tour was very accommodating. She answered all the questions and was not in a hurry. I picked up an activities list for the month and there was stuff going on all the time. There's a couple of movies every day, a walking club, an outside pool, a nice fitness room, a salon, an arts and crafts class, tables that had a jigsaw puzzles set out, some trips/little getaways planned, and a bus that will take you as far as 11 miles to your doctor's appointment.

I liked Celebration Village very much. It was very clean and neat. Everybody was very friendly, and that's what I was concerned with because I wanted my friend to be able to make friends with a large pool of people. Everybody we went past smiled at us and said hello. They had like 100+ people, as opposed to some facilities with only 26 in it. I liked the dining rooms very much, and that they had an arts center for people to do things. They also play bingo, take trips outside, and do a lot of activities. The people couldn't have been nicer. They let us sample the dining room food, which was very, very tasty. They were also very helpful because we were worried about what to do with my friend's brother. They told us some resources that we could contact to see what we could do about him. The apartments were very nice. There were two different models, and we looked at the one-bedroom. I liked that they had the washer and dryer in the room, and that they would come and change your sheets once a week. You could put a small sofa, a recliner, or a TV in the living room. It was a nice big bedroom. There were bars in case she would fall in the bathroom, as well as a little cord you could pull to get help immediately, and that's very important.

The staff at Celebration Village Acworth was excellent, the facility was excellent and what they had was fit for our needs. They have a game room, a bar, an ice cream parlor, and a bistro. They had a different look than the other place we toured. They had this big 22,000-square foot area where they had the game rooms, salon, and physical therapy. They always have someone on duty that would do medical stuff for you, and they also have a PA. They also do happy hour in the bar.
