My mom is at Canterfield of Kennesaw. This is her first week. They have a nice variety of activities and events. All the areas are nicely lit with sunshine and daylight. The apartments are large, spacious, and well-appointed. Everything is clean and looks very much like a resort as opposed to like an institution. The food service is lovely. It's table restaurant service with daily offerings and then specials that are also very nicely aligned to choose from with seasonal offerings. The activity teams are strong with music, games, and field trips, so we're looking forward to my mom being able to enjoy those. The med techs are nice. The staff with the on-duty medical team is great. The relationships they have with physician assistants in medical services and pharmacies make everything all-inclusive for the families as well as for the residents in the community. We looked at a studio, an extended studio, and a one-bedroom apartment. We chose the extended studio, which was a large 12x 18-room along with a kitchenette, a large closet, and a large bathroom. The one-bedroom was very large, but it was also a bit outside of our range financially. There are landscaped gardens with sidewalk walking paths. There's a library with a fireplace and very big comfy chairs. There's an activity room, a movie theater, and a salon. There is a physical therapy room with exercise equipment. There are quite a number of areas beyond the apartments for residents to enjoy that are all part of their homes. My mom met more people that she interacted with and enjoyed their company more than she did at the other place. They have a bit more activities as far as field trips and enrichment out into the community.

We toured Canterfield of Kennesaw. The overall experience was good. We like the facility, the staff, and the residents. That would be the one that my dad would be picking once he chooses to do this. We looked at a one-bedroom apartment, and it was very nice. The staff was very informative.

I toured Canterfield of Kennesaw. I would say they are excellent. I would give them all five because I really like them. They have a lot of arts and crafts going on. And, of course, they have bingo and that sort of thing, but the artwork is what I recall the most - it's special. Their floor plans were actually a little bit bigger, and I liked the way they were set up. They had an outdoor space and walking trails. The place was clean, but I was really impressed with the people that work there. The physical therapist there was very good.

I toured Canterfield of Kennesaw in person. It was very nice and very clean. They had a lot of activities. People looked happy there. The staff who accommodated me was very friendly and easy to communicate with. They had several amenities also. They had a beauty salon, a movie area, and a pool outside. Everything was beautiful. It was very well maintained. They had very nice dining areas. One was casual and one was more formal.

We toured Canterfield of Kennesaw and it was a very nice and very informative tour. The rooms were very spacious compared to some of the other ones that we've toured. We looked at the assisted living apartments, and their 1-bedroom apartment and a studio. I thought that the staff was very pleasant and very informative. She answered all the questions, and she was very helpful because she showed us all the options that we could consider for our mom. We saw their dining area and it was clean, spacious, and nice. They have servers there to serve you and then they have a regular menu and then another menu if you don't like what they're serving for their special. It seemed peaceful, homey, and kind of social. She took us to the library, where they played bingo, the weight room, sauna, craft room, and she even showed us the activity calendar. She showed us what everyone was involved in and how much activity they have every day. She showed us the exercise class, too. They have quite a bit of activities there, very scheduled and routine, so it seemed very nice.

My parents are in Canterfield of Kennesaw. It's fine, but I'm pulling them out of the running because of the cost. They have a library, a movie theater, a restaurant, and a covered patio on the back. They're painting pots, doing crafts, and playing bingo. They have a big turnover rate, and they have a hard time keeping people. The food is OK, but it's bland, because it's old people's food, but they do low-sugar desserts and things like that, so they keep their diets in mind. The facility is nice and clean.

They have zero COVID-19 precautions that they actually follow, the staff is extremely rude and uptight all of the time. The food is mediocre at best, always cold or old. The rooms are okay. Laundry keeps getting ruined and I’ve seen how they treat the workers in the back. It’s not good. Stay away from this place unless you have no other option. This is a last resort.

I moved a family member to Canterfield several months ago. She is very happy there and is receiving excellent care. The facility is clean and bright and all of the staff is very friendly and nurturing with the residents. The dining staff has taken great pains to ensure that my aunt (who currently is the only resident who is a vegetarian) has a balanced diet with plenty of food choices. I'm very pleased with the selection of Canterfield as my aunt's residence and would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, caring environment with various activities available to the residents.

re: memory care (after 20+ visits) staff spend most of the time talking among themselves and ignoring residents speaking to them...residents spend a great deal of time watching t.v. with staff not in close proximity... residents are not engaged or encouraged by staff to participate in the the few activities offered...most important though, residents hygiene is questionable... on a positive note...food is delicious...
