The rooms are sufficient; however, maintenance is sub standard. The general staff has a communication barrier with speaking or understanding English. The staff is untrained in life saving measures. Well checks are not performed . Nick and Joy are not on premises in the evening leaving care of your loved one to a staff that are not certified in health care. The owners are Nick and Joy . Joy is a lovely person her spouse is rude and unreasonable. Do not place your loved one in this facility please I beg you , unless you simply do not care about your loved one.

I needed a temporary place for my sister to stay while in the process of moving and her transitioning from a long term hospital stay. The place is beautiful, but unfortunately the care is only mediocre. My sister told me she was hardly ever checked on throughout the days and never at night. She was left in her room pretty much all day- they never encouraged her to come out to do things and get to know others. Luckily I was able to bring her food because she told me most days all they offered was soup or a sandwich. However, she nor visitors are permitted to use or go in the kitchen to use the refrigerator or microwave. Some of the staff didn't understand English much and they are overworked, only getting off 1 day for every 10 days worked and they don't have a room to sleep in. I would say this place is okay if the resident can do a lot on their own, but not the best if they need a lot of help and care.

Ms. Joy and her husband Mr. Nic are the most beautiful people inside and out and their staff at Amelia Gardens (Ms. Christy being an Angel among other Angels at Amelia Gardens) have Hearts of Gold and are the most caring and sweet people I have met in the 2 years I have been a POA for Mr. Hudgins. When Ms. Joy said "Yes" to my urgent, emergency and utmost frantic call on a Friday at 5 p.m. for a place for Mr. Aubrey it was a huge burden lifted of my shoulder when I went and met them in person. Ms. Joy was as delightful in person as she was over the phone. Ms. Joy went over-and-above to accommodate my short-noticed request for a place. Mr. Hudgens, in my opinion, has come "Home" and is in expert hands and care. I do not worry about him being neglected. Amelia Gardens would get "100 STARS" if I could rate them myself. I thank Ms. Joy and Ms. Christy and the other lovely Ladies at Amelia Gardens for their professionalism, their caring and their huge hearts. I thank them from the bottom and top of my heart. Their rooms are nice and large. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Their facility and care for the residents are UNPARALLELED.

Took my brother there on a Saturday. Paid over $5k in advance by check. Monday morning the owner was at my bank cashing that check at 9 am. Thirteen minutes latter I get a call stating my brother is sick. I go and find him beaten, febrile, unable to walk. There less than 48 hours! I call 911 to take him to the hospital. There I find out he has a broken hip but no signs of a fall. Owner Joy refused to give a refund. State did a full investigation and found convincing evidence of abuse to support my allegations. Still no refund. RUN FAST and watch your back. Only put your enemies at this place...........

My mother was a resident here for a year until her death. She received awesome care. She needed assistance with all activities of daily living. She was treated with love and respect. She was not just a resident to them, but a member of the family. The owner and caregivers were super. I would recommend this small group home to anyone looking for small group care for their loved one.

I like Amelia Gardens II, and I bet other people would too because the people here are as good as they can be. I have my own room, my TV, my computer, my printer, and everything. It is a three-bedroom house.
