We liked Golden Rose Personal Care Home a lot. It's a very nice place. I think they have two or three different locations. This one is not very big, which we're glad about. It's a little older but the rooms are very nice. My aunt just moved in and I think she's going to be happy there. The staff is very nice. All their food is homemade, and my aunt said the food was good. The facility is clean, in good shape, and all taken care of.

We visited Golden Rose Personal Care Home and it was good. It was very family-oriented and we liked it. They do a whole lot of stuff for people like activities and things like that.

The tour I had at Golden Rose Personal Care Home was fine. It just didn't fit my qualifications. I can't see anything negative about it. It's just that it didn't come across as a place that I would like to put my husband in. Their outside facility was not very welcoming. It just seemed to be very old. When I left my husband, I wanted him to feel good, and I wasn't getting that vibe there. The staff was fine.

We went to Golden Rose Personal Care Home. The staff was very nice. We looked at a few rooms. It is nice. It was a single room, a private room, and it was out of the price range. It was very well kept. I think they're just getting the back garden fixed up. I believe they had an out-back sitting area. The staff was very pleasant.

I toured Golden Rose Personal Care Home. I liked their level of attention and caring for the actual needs of what my father-in-law would want compared to where he is now. In this place, they're more worried about why he would be getting upset with another person and why would he be doing that or what he's unhappy about, instead of just calling him a problem and drugging him. The only thing I didn't like was that they had no way to get him to the hospital or anything like that. We would have to drive down there and pick him up and take him. But that still didn't deter me from doing it it's just that that was the hardest thing about it. I was hungry the moment I walked in, they were cooking when we walked in. The staff was very polite, you can see them all hanging out with the people there and the people were engaging with them. When we walked through one of the buildings, one of the nurses there rushed up to ask who we are and say hello, and I loved that. They had karaoke and dancing, arts and crafts, they had lots of different activities for everybody to do. I thought that that was cool that there was something for everybody. Even if you didn't like one thing, there was something else for you to do. They had an outside space and seating areas, and they had one dining area as well, and I like the bathroom that was there.

I looked at Golden Rose Personal Care Home, it was laid out nicely. The only thing is that it's not a locked facility, and the individual I'm looking for a place for is a wanderer. They have an outdoor sitting area, but their outdoor area isn't secure for the residents and my friend could escape. If she didn't have that stage of dementia, this place would have been excellent. I like the location, it was very clean, very neat, and there are no odors. The dining area was very clean, everybody was eating. It was very good, it just wasn't what I wanted. Otherwise, it would have been one of the places I would want to put somebody in. The director was very, very helpful. We didn't go deep into the facility because when I first started talking with her, she explained the security there and we knew at that point that this was not going to be the facility for us. But we sat there and talked in general about what they offer. I could see the dining room from where I was, and the staff was very friendly. She was most helpful, she could have told me anything to get me in there, but she was truthful. They were upfront and honest.

I had a nice tour of Golden Rose Personal Care Home and they were very friendly people. It's a smaller location, there's only about a room or two available right now. They're mostly shared rooms. Other than that, it's an overall nice environment. But the shared room's beds are close to each other, you can reach over and touch the next person. That's kind of what I did not like about that. The person who gave me the tour was amazing, Diana, I believe was her name. The bathroom in the room is not centrally-located, so you have to walk across the other person to get there. The room that we're looking at had a sliding door with a nice patio which. It'd be better if it's all split to the middle so they'd feel more comfortable walking into the restroom or outside, and not being in the other person's space. It's a family-owned location, and all around for the price, which is $2400, it's good. It's a personal care home, so I didn't see any nurses around, but they had staff there. They had a whole board of different activities that they do like bingo, and they have a schedule of activities. The facility is great, but I think they can do a better job with the layout of the room. They're limited to rooms depending on co-ed or not co-ed.

Golden Rose Personal Care Home was sort of small and intimate. It was clean, and the lady that runs the place seemed very caring and compassionate. There's enough staffing for folks that have memory problems. They take residents that need memory care. They have two areas of the courtyard where the residents can come out and sit down. The shared rooms were big enough. I went twice, and that is the place that my aunt could afford.

My tour of Golden Rose Personal Care Home was very good. Someone actually saw us in the parking lot and directed us to the office. It was very nice inside. The place was very clean, and it smelled very good there. The person who directed us to the office was from the Caribbean like we are, so there was an instant connection there. It was very good, and I know my mom is going to be comfortable with that. We were taken on the tour shortly thereafter. Everything was very clean and neat, so I feel at peace with that. I think it's going to be a good fit for my mom. We're just going to evaluate it for a month to month basis to make sure everything works out. Right now, it seems like it's going to be a good fit for her, and that's why we're planning to choose Golden Rose. There was a garden, and there was outdoor seating. There's a game night. My mom needs interaction with people, and apparently they have activities where a lot of the residents are involved, like Bingo Nights. I know the cook is Jamaican, so that's a good thing (I hope). It was very clean. The maintenance was good.

I thought the tour I had at Golden Rose Personal Care Home was very pleasant. The director was excellent with the information that she provided and how they operate. The facility was very clean, and it gave a very homey feeling. I enjoyed it. The dining area was inviting and cozy at the same time. The rooms just looked like the most comfortable place to be. The director was informative with the tour. She actually provided me some information, as far as what to look for in trying to make a decision with my father and what to expect. She was telling me about the price range, and she was really patient with me. She even asked if I had any other questions or concerns about anything because she had been in the field for so long. She was happy to help out. I like the setup. The residents were in the entertainment areas, and they were all engaged. They had an outdoor area and several of the residents were outside and talking to each other.

I volunteered here it was a very nice place. I enjoyed helping the seniors in the knitting class just as they enjoyed my company. I also enjoyed listening to some of their childhood stories.
