I just checked my father in today at The Phoenix at Union Hill, and it is wonderful. The staff is incredible, and the food is good. It could be slightly bigger, but it is adequate for my dad and his wife. Everything is brand new like he décor and the carpet. It is beautiful right now. The whole family had lunch there, and the food was delicious. We liked everything. The price is quite high. I do not know how that compares to other places, but this is a new place. It has only been in existence for about a year. The dining area is big and clean. It is beautiful. There were flowers on the table, and the waiter is really super nice. He gives great service, and he was right on top of everything. He spoke Spanish, so my dad's wife was able to order in Spanish (which made her happy). We like the dining rooms. They have three of them, and we liked them all. I just looked outside because we were getting his room situated and decorated. They have a pool that's not built yet. It is in the works. They have tennis courts that aren't completed yet, and they have a playground that was closed because of construction. The management and staff are very professional and caring.

The facility was very nice and for the most part the staff was amazing, however my mother's Physician's Medical Evaluation (PME) was completely overridden by the Wellness Director, who made consistently horrible decisions for the care of my mother. When I would speak with him about them, he lied to me several times, and when I went to the upper management my mother was eventually evicted due to a staff member lying. My mother was placed in memory care when she was completely cognitive and mobile, and ended up depressed and second guessing herself. She was fearful of the Wellness Director and even when he finally ALLOWED her to move from memory care to assisted living, my mother stayed stressed and mostly to herself. It was horrible to watch her go through these things. The wellness director also lied to my mother about taking items from her room, even though he gave them back to her when she explained they were heirlooms (scissors). So many things I could go on about, such lack of follow-through on getting my mother the services her physician ORDERED for her and the wellness director didn't get for her until I had to get them FOR her......horrible experience. The staff is amazing, but I could tell they had issues with him as well, and I'm glad Phoenix evicted my mom since she's living in an independent facility now and thriving. Pheonix can do better. They SHOULD do better. For their residents and their staff.

The tour I had at the Phoenix at Union Hill was great. It's a very nice place. I liked that it's all inclusive. It's kind of out in the country more than the other two places I've been to, and it kind of resembles a ski lodge when you walk in the front door. So, everything about it was great. The person that did the tour was also great. We are communicating via text, and she's very responsive and knowledgeable. She's closer to my mom's age and was able to answer some other questions. The food looked fantastic. The dining area looked very clean and very spacious. It's like a four-star restaurant. They went over a list of activities that they offer, and we saw some people that were playing cards, and some people that were in the gym.

We loved The Phoenix at Union Hill. It was a lovely facility. It was new and very clean. It was mostly austere so it wasn't as warm compared to the other ones we saw. To us, that's what we were looking for. So, I think it just wasn't for us.

We toured The Phoenix at Union Hill for my father, and it's beautiful. It's wonderful, and it is brand new. It's got everything you'd want from it.,You would want to go live there. They have different floors for different levels of care, but they can still interact with each other. The one who toured us was the manager because the usual person wasn't available; he was great. We did not try the food, but we saw options. We talked to different people, and they said it was great. They actually have a menu-type option. They have arts and crafts. They have gardening. They go fishing. They go out. They have movie nights and happy hour every day. There are card games and bingo. They had a whole list of things, and it changes daily; it's not the same thing every day.
