I visited this facility

I toured The Springs at Lady Lake Assisted Living. They have a lot of activities going on. They have a divider wall for semi-private privacy, except for when they use the bathroom. There's a shared bathroom. Their staff is super friendly. They do a check every two hours. I had lunch with them and the food was pretty good. The food was decent. They have the option to change your food. It's an older building and they are updating their facility, so that's good.

We toured The Springs of Lady Lake. The facility was nice. We noticed the dining room was nice. It had lots of things to do. The staff was very nice. They were kind to you. They told you how hard they tried to make life good for the residents.

I visited this facility

The Springs of Lady Lake was nice. I saw the rooms. I didn't like the fact that they had a smoking area outside, and I didn't like the idea of dogs being on leashes, and running around. The staff was very nice.

My mom is in respite now at The Springs of Lady Lake. Everything has been OK. Everybody is friendly and helpful. The staff is good, and my mom likes the food. Somebody is always available. They answer the bells when they ring. They have a little library and a little chapel. They have music in the cafeteria. They play bingo and they have happy hours on Fridays. They have outside patios.

I visited this facility

I've visited The Springs of Lady Lake but I wasn't that impressed with that place. It was older, and you can tell that it was older. The lady that gave me the tour was very nice and very competent, but I just didn't care for the atmosphere. I don't think I would consider that at all for my mother. The room was sufficient, it was a small 1-bedroom but it had everything that you would need. I remember seeing some people in the hall, and somebody was reading a newspaper.

The Springs of Lady Lake was a beautiful community. I would move my father there in a heartbeat, but I just can't get him from the Midwest to here. The value is very high. They have nice furniture. They have a lot of different activities. They've got different levels. It's a two-story building. The studio apartment was well-appointed. Everything smelled good. The people were all very nice. The person that lives there that I was also visiting doesn't like the food, but he's picky. The food looked great to me, but I did not taste it. They had meatloaf and mashed potatoes, which is a favorite of mine. When I was there, the elevator was not working, which was difficult for a couple of the ladies who have wheelchairs and they cannot take the stairs. I don't know how they're going to get up to their rooms on the second floor. That was the only downside. The people were all extremely pleasant, very nice, and accommodating. I like the location of the facility. They were playing some kind of card game and there were about seven people who were doing it, which I was surprised by because normally it's hard to get these people out of their rooms. There was a reading area, a TV place, and all kinds of different little places. There was an outdoor spot with birds, and it was just really pretty. It's a great place and very good value.

The Springs of Lady Lake was a good place, but the room that my friend would have stayed in was so small and she would have a shared kitchen and bathroom with a lady. We had another friend that lives there, and she had nothing bad to say about the people that go in and see her needs. They were very nice. We saw residents playing games, watching TV, and others were just sitting around talking. They had different places for you to take friends/family and have your privacy and visit. They offer transportation, too. They had a little bus that comes and picks you up and takes you to the grocery store and different places. So, it seemed like a very pleasant atmosphere.

I visited this facility

My sister will be moving into The Springs of Lady Lake. She's not there yet, so we only walked through the facility. They're pleasant people, and they seemed to be happy with the facility. It was the best one to meet her financial needs. We saw one room, and it looked good for that type of a facility. The head nurse was very nice. The director of the facility was very nice, upbeat, and positive.

Sister was a resident here before they basically admitted that they couldn't care for her. They gave us a 45 day notice to find another facility and then when we did they suddenly figured out that they wanted her to stay. Staff were always nice, but I have a feeling that they just have too much to do. Her room was nice. The AC went out the day that we were moving out my sister- typical!

I visited this facility

The Springs of Lady Lake was nice and clean. The staff seemed very nice. Again, the cost of the room was high. She would have to go with a shared room, but I would have to say assisted living went with a shared room; I would give it a pretty high rating. It was done nicely. They had a nice dining hall, but it looked like an assisted living facility.

We took her to The Springs of Lady Lake, and it is working for us. We chose it because we could afford it, and it's close to home. It's fine, and I'm very happy with everything. They have everything that you would expect. The dining area is fine, not fancy. It's an older facility, but it works for us. The food is adequate.

The Springs was fairly nice, but we were trying to get something down to our budget. The room I saw was one-bedroom with a living room, and another small room. The staff was very nice. You can take your time in coming for meals. It was pretty much at your disposal. They have game rooms, transportation if you want to go shopping, and they have an exercise room.

My mother is at The Springs. The people are very friendly. My mother has some medical issues, but they have accommodated her eating habits. It has been a win-win for us. My mother is in a one-bedroom; she loves it. The residents are all very nice. We were looking for more of a homey-feeling type facility, and we got that feeling at The Springs. It is like my mother is an extended part of their family.

My mom is going to The Springs of Lady Lake on Thursday. It was absolutely lovely. It was a good facility. We were pleased with them. They had entertainment, bingo, and Wii bowling. They had all different types of activities for the residents to do. They had a lovely dining room, and they serve three meals a day. The apartments were absolutely lovely including the studio apartments. It was just as big as a one-bedroom.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My sister is in Springs of Lady Lake for a couple of months now and she is doing very well. It is amazing. They are very good. They love her and she loves them. She has a beautiful apartment. We redid the whole thing before we moved her into it. They did all the floors and the carpeting, they painted it and it's like new. They do that before a new patient moves in. She gets therapy and they have got her walking with a walker and assistance. It is a great place. The food is good. They get to choose what they eat. They have two different things every night and you can pick one or the other and if you do not care for any of the food, they will make you a cheeseburger, a hamburger, a grilled cheese, a fruit plate or anything like that. The dining area is beautiful. It is like going into a restaurant. It is big, open and airy. It has all the windows around it so it is very light. It is a very small community and they do watch the residents. If somebody would go out of the door, the alarm would go off and somebody sits at the main door. That door is also closed at 8 o’clock at night. They are very friendly and even the lady who is in charge of the place and manages it is like a part of staff. She comes and serves the dinner in the dining room. They all do that. Everybody takes a part in this place. It is like a big family.

My sister is at Springs of Lady Lake, and I think it's all very good. I have no complaints or whatsoever. She is in a one large room with a bath and a little kitchenette. It's probably was one of the cheapest ones. They have bingo, movies, games, thanksgiving, Christmas, and all those special occasions. I haven’t tried their food, but I haven’t heard anybody complain about it.

My Mother lived at this facility for 7 years before she passed away. The care was wonderful , all of the staff are great. We chose the facility because they have licensed nurses in the building 24 hours a day

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother is in The Springs of Lady Lake. We chose it because she could afford it. Of the ones that I saw, it was the best choice. The people are extremely nice. All the staff is very friendly. The only problem with The Springs is that it's an old building. It needs upkeep, and it doesn't get it until something breaks. The bathrooms are really outdated, and they're very difficult to clean because they've been patched over the years a lot. At one point, they were running out of food for the main meal. There were some real issues. The problem that bothered me the most was that the person in charge of the facility claims that she did not know all this was going on.
