I really liked Freedom Pointe at the Villages, but I'm just not quite ready for that. I was almost ready to buy into it, but because of a family situation, I did not want to make a definite decision, and I decided not to do it. But I think it's one of the best places in the Villages. It has the full, complete care. I have a friend that just recently moved there and I liked the food. The dinner that I had was delicious, and food is probably my number one concern. The dining area is wonderful. It was very good, and it was excellent. Their apartments are pretty good. Their staff was good, too, and I have no complaints. The place looks very clean and very inviting. There is a pool that's available there. There's also a walking area there where my friend could walk. She's very pleased with being there.

The Freedom Pointe at The Villages is quite a big facility. There are 3 large buildings that are part of the complex and they have every care level. During my tour, I looked at the assisted living. They were asking for $6,000 a month just for residency. It's brand new, the buildings are all new, everything is operational, and they have a lot of staff. They have a variety of things like a rehab center, independent living, assisted living, and residential so they cover everything. I would say the staff were better than adequate, as far as skills and abilities. I would say they were competent. During the visit, I was having a conversation with the director, and they brought a little tray of food and water. The facility had a gym, a library, and some kind of a movie theater.

The residents at Freedom Pointe at The Villages were very happy there. We talked to many of them before we even talked to the sales consultant during our tour. It's an older place, and it's in the middle of The Villages. It's not as cheerful as the other memory care places we went to, but the sales consultant was wonderful. Everything we saw the residents were doing was great. They did puzzles, they had entertainment, they ate together, and the ones that could have a good time had a good time. It was very nice.

I liked Freedom Pointe at The Villages, but it was a little more expensive and what I didn't like was that the activities were spread out. So, I was afraid Mama would just get confused as to where she wanted to go and how to get there. From the appearance, it looks very nice and very clean. The person who took us on the tour was very nice, too.

We were favorably impressed with Freedom Pointe at The Villages, but the buy-in is what we weren't happy with. It's a very beautiful place. It's a very active community, socially. People that live there who are friends of ours have said that it's like a five-star hotel, and they're treated extremely well by the staff, and they're very, very happy there. Lovely, lovely staff, friendly, and helpful, and encouraging. They have a nurse there all the time. They do have three levels: independent living, assisted living, and nursing home care in separate buildings. The food was topnotch. Excellent. They have studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms, one bedrooms with a den, a two bedroom with a den. If someone wanted to enlarge their living area, they have actually allowed people to combine two apartments so that it's a large suite. It's very flexible.

The tour at Freedom Pointe at the Villages was fantastic. We were just overwhelmed with all the things they have available there, and how beautiful the place was. There was nothing there that we didn't like. The woman who gave us the tour was fantastic, and she's called a few times. I didn't realize how expensive they are, but of course they would have to be that expensive to offer so much. We only could see one room, and it was just like a bedroom with the little kitchenette. It's the only room they had available to show. If I were a single person, that would be fine for me, but with my husband, that certainly wouldn't be enough space, but it was very nice. You name it, they have it, game rooms and swimming pools, libraries, an excellent dining room, gourmet meals. They have a pub, and they have rooms that you can play cards in, and rooms that if you have friends come over, you can sit and talk. They have exercise classes and a beautiful gym with everything. My husband thought it was the best one he's ever seen. You would want for nothing if you moved in there. We were very impressed. I thought it was laid out beautifully. You had a covered garage for your car and your golf cart. There was storage and elevators available. I can't say a bad thing about the place. I wish I could move in there now. We haven't tried their food, but we went into the dining room. It was elegant, and I've heard people that have visited and ate there, they say the food is absolutely topnotch. You get one meal a day, but you have a little kitchenette in your room, and there's a little pub there if you want to come down for a little breakfast or a sandwich during the day, and any meal. It's not covered, but it's only $7.50. Where can you eat for $7.50 for a meal?

Freedom Pointe at the Villages is a very nice facility. The apartment that my mother would have, if she went there, would be nicely suited to her. That was the best part. They were in the middle of a renovation, so that was good. I could see they're trying to keep it up. The negative part was that I had an appointment to meet with a particular woman, but when I got there, I was told that somebody else had come in, and so she was off with them instead of me, and they gave me a young girl that had just been working there for two weeks. She was very sweet and very kind, but could not answer many questions, so I just quit asking questions and just let her show me around, but I felt like the staff that was supposed to have an appointment with me didn't keep it, and then they put me with someone new, and I thought for $7,000 a month, I could have had a little bit of attention to answer my questions. For how nice they were, they'd get a five rating, but for being knowledgeable, it's a three rating. They told me they would send me follow up information and never did. They had a gym and a salon. They didn't show me a courtyard, but they showed me rooms where they could watch their own movies or go in with friends. They also had a number of locations where they could have their family come in and sit and visit, and even have food prepared for them and their families for special occasions and things. They showed me a number of things like card and game rooms.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages is very nice. However, I'm not interested in a studio room. It's like a large hospital room for me. It's just one big room. The one-bedroom unit was nice. It had a very good closet space and a nice kitchen. Everything was very acceptable to me. The common areas are very nice. They have a dining area, a lounging area, and a library. It's very nice. It's beautiful there. The only disadvantage would be the fact that you have to give a downpayment, which makes it tough for some people. Outside, there are a lot of big trees and there's adequate parking. It is very close to a hospital, too.

Our experience with Freedom Pointe at The Villages was great. The facility was lovely. I liked that when we got there, we had to check in at the front desk. They collected our information. They gave us a name tag to wear. It was like a little sticker to wear while we were walking around. It made me feel like they had more security measures in place, which is important for memory care because my father is a flight risk. The person who took us on the tour was Britney. She was really good. When we were walking around, some of the residents knew her, so that was nice to know. You can't fake that. They either know you or they don't, but they knew her. She was very friendly with them. It was nice to know that it's not just the medical staff that gets involved; the sales director knows the people there. It made me feel reassured that my father would get a decent type of care. All the places that we went to had shared rooms, and the shared rooms are way less expensive. One of them was like $1900 a month less, but there was just a wall that divided the room. It was not a full wall; it was a half wall. You could hear the other person's conversation. You could hear their television. You could hear whatever. It was not good, especially for my father with memory care. He would have freaked out. You have to walk past the other person's room to get to the bathroom. They said that the person who is closer to the bathroom pays more. Why would I pay more to watch somebody walking across my room all the time? Their pricing is crazy, but the rooms were decent. It was a beautiful facility. They had a barbershop in the common area that had the red and white pole. Unfortunately, it is not in our price range, and they don't take Medicaid. The staff was really good. They had cooking classes, and they do a lot of activities. Just from our little walkthrough, we saw how the staff interacted. It was really nice to see. They were very, very interactive with the residents and that was nice. They said that they were putting in no-slip flooring. The facility was all done very tastefully. It was decorated very well. It had a very calming effect to it. They had a room that was set up as an office. My father worked in an office all his life. He might like to hang out in there, and maybe he would think that he's at work. Just little things that they have there will make it beneficial to the residents in their journey. They take them on field trips. Because they're high-functioning memory care patients, they can attend. They can't attend without a staff member going with them.

Some of the nurses at Freedom Pointe at The Villages are awesome. They were wonderful to my dad. Some of the aides though, to me, their attentiveness and care was subpar. I didn't feel that they care to do their job. They were just basically there collecting a paycheck. The food is also just average. My dad just turned 90 and he's having health issues and I was talking to one of the nurses that I truly commended (because she was very good at her job and attending to the residents and everything) about the food being delivered. I told her that if they know or take attention to some of the resident's capabilities, they should automatically step in and assist in maybe cutting their food. The physician assistant on duty at the facility needs to make notation for the kitchen so they know that the resident needs more grounded up of food so that it's easier for them to eat it. If I didn't happen to be there or friends of my fathers didn't happen to be there at the time he was getting a meal, dinner time especially, they would just plop it down in front of them and it would be like a chicken breast or roast beef. He could feed himself pretty much, but there's no way he could have cut the food up. Other than that, it is a nicer and clean facility. It's very welcoming and is one of the nicer ones in The Villages area.

I visited Freedom Pointe at The Villages. It is more like an apartment for people who are more active and can drive, so I know my mom can't do that. It's fairly new. It's almost like going to a hotel. It's a nice place. The staff were just as good as the other staff. They're very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff said, 'Any questions you want to ask anybody when they walk by, you can ask them questions.' I asked a couple of them questions, and they were pleased to answer anything. As far as what they have for activities, they have basically the same activities as the assisted living, except that they have more freedom. They have outside activities, and you're not restricted. You can even go play golf. I didn't really get a whole day of activities as far as what they had, they just told me what they had.

The lady at the front desk of Freedom Pointe CCRC was not very accommodating -- she was actually rude. We went to the wrong building. We went to the independent living building, and she was rude, very short, and not very helpful. After half an hour of trying to get to the right place, we finally got to the assisted living area, and those people were much better. I saw the one-bedrooms. They were a little small, and the assisted living rooms don't have full kitchens. They just have a microwave and a refrigerator, but they don't have stoves. That's probably common with assisted living. We saw the pool area, the recreation area with a pool table and some games, and some areas where they were playing cards.

Freedom Pointe CCRC did not have a two-bedroom available, so that's when we started looking for other things. The marketing people are all first rate; they're really good. They seem to have a lot of amenities, like a pool and things like that. They have libraries, they go on little trips, they offer concierge services to different places, and when you have a doctor's appointment they will take you.

At Freedom Pointe, our tour guide was a great person, and she was very thorough. She explained everything. It's a lot of information to take in, but she did a great job. We enjoyed the tour very much, and we came home with literature. We haven't made any decisions; we're just trying to research and understand what this is all about. We're both healthy and strong right now, but things can change, and we just wanted to get educated. When she took us around, we saw a one-bedroom apartment and a two-bedroom apartment. She showed us the pool, several rooms for exercise classes, the library, the room where they play cards, and the large ballroom where they have special events. There were walking trails outside. The facility looked very good.

Freedom Pointe was fabulous. The people there seemed very happy. I met a lot of residents because it was St. Patrick's Day when I visited and they were having a party. The staff was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a beautiful community but also expensive. It was very clean and very well-maintained.

We went to Freedom Pointe CCRC, and the location is not as good as the other place we looked at. It is not centrally located, but it is still in a very good place. It's been there a long time, and they know what they are doing. It's also very close to The Villages Hospital. It is a large facility, and they have a lot to offer.

My aunt loves it at Freedom Pointe at the Villages. She loves the food, she says it's beautiful, and she's very happy there. I think there's a library. The communication is good, and they're responsive when I call. I think she plays bingo, takes part in trivia, and has an exercise class; she seems to enjoy that. She enjoys sitting in their big, screened-in, back porch.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages was golf cart accessible to The Villages. With this one, you buy in and then there is a monthly fee as well. They have a washer and a dryer in the unit, which is nice. It is more like moving into your home there. They have independent, assisted and memory care. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments, which are very nice.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages was nice. The rooms were nice. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. They have a workout room and some painting which they did a nice job on. It had more of an institutional feel and felt more like a hotel. It just didn't seem as open and airy as other places.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages was a lovely place. The staff that I met were the management and people in the restaurant. They were exceptional, friendly and available; they answered all my questions and helped me with any concerns. All of the buildings in all levels of care are beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained. It's a very busy place, they had everything from a place to meditate to a pool. All the residents have access to all the rec centers, activities, and all the clubs. There were plenty of people coming and going. They can take a golf cart and go wherever they want or they can be driven where they want to go. They also provide bus and transportation to the doctor or any other activities.

The rooms at Brookdale Place at Freedom Pointe (Freedom Pointe at The Villages) are very nice. My wife doesn't have to stay in her room but she is secured. They cannot leave that secured area without someone letting them out, and you cannot even get into it without someone letting you in. It appears to be well controlled in that manner. They have a full amount of activities that they do during the day for people who are able to participate. The price is expensive, though.

Freedom Pointe was a buy-in, it's a continuing care community, everything was top notch, but the price was way up; it was crazy. There's a man-made lake, and it sits on a golf course. Freedom Pointe is the one that I'm considering seriously. I really like it, but I'm not ready to go in yet. It's fabulous. They have a program called "future residents," and if you pay them some money, they will invite you to dinner and entertainment once a month for a year. I like the idea that you get to see the people before you move in. The food is excellent. The apartments are very nice.

The Villages is near my daughter’s place. It’s over 55, independent living with villas all over the place, but they also have senior facility. It’s very nice. I’d like to be there, but it's way out of my budget. The grounds were gorgeous. They have church, and people can take classes. It’s an active senior area.

My mom was in Brookdale Place at Freedom Pointe. It was terrible. She had a heart attack for two and a half hours, and the nurse told her to be quiet the first day she was in there. I have never received a report on that. They sent her down to Orlando without her x-rays. The food was OK. She didn't eat much, and they always gave her a full meal, and she doesn't like to waste food. The rooms weren't very clean. As a matter of fact, there was stuff on the floor all of the time we were there because I looked at it every day. They never cleaned the room.

We really like Brookdale Place at Freedom Pointe for my mom because it was well organized. The woman was very knowledgeable and explained the different options very clearly. She knew the right questions to ask, really understood what my mom’s needs were, and talked to my dad very intelligently about what the next steps are. It was really an education. It was assisted living, but they actually had four levels, which also impressed me. We saw all four different types of rooms, both furnished and unfurnished. Again, it was very thourough and very well conducted.

My mom really liked Freedom Pointe At The Villages but the problem is it’s for rent only. The other thing is it is not the community that she wanted to be in. The facility is too big. She does not want to rent right now, she wants to purchase. The people were wonderful. They had multiple complexes. Each one has a grocery store, a library, and a bank. They had a main place for swimming and classes like arts and crafts.

I've already got my father in Brookdale Place at Freedom Pointe. This was close to a lady friend of his who could come over and look in on him. That's why I chose this facility. My father is in an intermediate care, which is called The Crossing. He is mobile, and he doesn't take any medication and doesn't require wheelchair or walker. However, my problem is is that these people on this floor, what I've noticed this last time, they're very frustrated because they're on the third floor and they can't go anywhere. They are locked into that place. There is no outdoor for them. They have to go as a whole group if they want to go, and not everybody wants to go out at the same time. These folks can't go anywhere, and I have a problem with that because they're all mobile enough to want to go outside for awhile. The first time I went there, the food was excellent. Now, the food is more constitutional. It is like school food. That has changed a little bit over time. My father has a very nice little apartment, where he has a separate to sit and read, separate from the bedroom, and a huge closet. All the other places were small. I was very impressed with the size and how it was where he could be by himself. The lady who is in charge of the activities there is awesome. She has stuff planned for them. However, on Sunday, there is absolutely nothing. But otherwise, they have things for them to do all the time.

I visited Homewood of Freedom Pointe. I was not too impressed with the hostess. I did not think she did a very good job, and I didn't like the apartments. They didn't have any verandas, which I thought would be very important. However, it was supposed to be the most beautiful one around.

Freedom Pointe is definitely a five. The only problem is that it is so expensive that I could not afford it. But they were very efficient; everything was extremely efficient. The food was even more excellent. I have been there several times for food because I have a friend who lived there, and occasionally I visited her. The facility is first-class. Everything in it is first-class, which is probably why I can't afford it.

I stayed at Freedom Pointe for rehab for 3 or 4 weeks. There were some really good staff, but there were some that were not good and couldn’t care less. I was sharing a room, the food was excellent, and the people really tried hard. The ladies waiting on the table were very good. There were a lot of good things also. They had movies. They had physical therapists, but they were so gung-ho on the exercises.

We visited Freedom Point at The Villages, and it was a very nice facility. The lady that represented the place was very congenial, and everything was good. It has the best of everything, but it's probably one of the more expensive places. The dining room was really outstanding, sometimes they have an orchestra playing, and sometimes the people that lived there dress up on party nights and wear gowns and tuxedos. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone who can afford it.

We did see Freedom Pointe a while ago when we were starting to look around. It is a very big facility, and it is beautiful, but it is very expensive. It is much too much expensive for mom. We only met the one lady that was showing us around. She was very nice; obviously she wants to sell. It is a pretty place, and they have a lot of snack bars and things for the residents to eat in. But it wasn't for mom because it was very expensive. I didn't see the rooms or taste the food. As far as beauty goes, it is beautiful.

My mother is at Freedom Pointe Rehabilitation right now, and she'll only be here hopefully for a month. We chose it because it had a five-star rating for rehab. The staff is very good. Everything is very good with top notch, pleasant rooms. You call the nurse, they're here in like 1 minute, and they're very nice to my mother. Physical therapy seems to be good. They can go eat in the dining room if they want to, and they have wheelchairs for them.

I was looking for a facility for myself. Freedom Pointe is very impressive when you first walk in. It is beautifully decorated. The staff in general is accommodating and professional. I have tasted the food, and mostly it is pretty good. But there are some things that I find odd for a health facility like too much fried food and themeant they use is sometimes of a poor cut quality.

I'm going to be moving in within the next six months to The Villages. The staff that I met have been professional and congenial. The rooms are quite generous in size depending on what you want. They are from one bedroom to two bedrooms with a den. They have many activities within the structures of the buildings and facilities including golf courses, swimming pools, and horseback riding available. What attracted me most was the flexibility of the clients there in terms of the size of the living space and also the flexibility of the establishment to accommodate my particular needs and my wife's needs.

I was able to visit Freedom Point at the Villages, and I like that they provide continuing care. What I didn’t like about them was the cost. Their maintenance is very good, and they do have a lovely dining area. They have many available activities for the residents.

I went to look at Freedom Pointe at the Villages. They have different areas that you can stay in, and I like that. The staff that I talked to was nice, they explained to me the prices, and it was just so expensive for me. Everything was really nice and good.

We did go to Freedom Pointe, but we didn’t like it all. The first floor was done beautifully, the rooms were not updated, and the cost was the most expensive. They’re known as a party place and that wasn’t a big draw for us. We did not care for what the apartment looked like for the cost and for what we were getting.

Freedom Pointe at the Villages seemed too much like a hotel for me when I did visit the facility. Their dining area was fine, but the rooms are a bit small. I was able to meet with the marketing staff, and they are friendly.

We went to see Freedom Pointe and they were very helpful. They gave us all kinds of information including the costs. They had a good thing going on there, they really do. The assisted living was very clean, very nice, and it seemed well-managed and comparatively priced.

We chose Freedom Pointe at the Villages for our friend because it's in place that she lives, and that is where we felt we would get the best care. The staff treats her with respect. The rooms are clean and very nice. I am not sure with regard to their activities, but she gets her hair done, and she's got things that she does. They take her out a lot.

I visited her when she was in the nursing care at Freedom Pointe. It's very luxurious, and it looks very expensive. They have little villages where people eat their meals in small dining rooms, and they can watch them cooking. They had that there which impressed me. It's a beautiful place; it's very elegant. If you went there, you would feel pampered. You couldn't ask for a better place to live.

My friend and I went to Freedom Pointe. We were very impressed with it. The lady staff was really good. They have programs that go on all day long. They have an area for the women where they can fool around with clothes and sewing stuff. For the men, they have a little area with tools in it where they can do stuff. They play games, and they watch movies. They seem to keep them very busy. I would say the rooms were very adequate. They're not huge by any means, but they were very nice. The dining room was good. The one thing they had different than the other places was they had a little kitchen in the middle of the dining room so the residents can watch the food being made.

We looked at Freedom Pointe, and I had never seen as nice and as clean a place as it is. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and answered all our questions. However, I was disappointed because I was out-voted, and the rest of the family moved my sister back to Indiana, and she's in the assisted living back there.

Freedom Pointe was a very upscale and nice facility. It had privileges and amenities programs. However, it was too expensive. The buy in and the maintenance were too high.

I think Freedom Pointed at The Villages is a lovely place, but it's very expensive. The facility has a very elegant atmosphere. Everything is fancier. My mom-in-law thought it was too lavish for her. The staff was great.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages was a beautiful facility. It was really nice. However, I thought I got more value from the other facility. Nevertheless, the staff seemed very nice. I did eat there and their food was great too.

I didn’t like Homewood of Freedom Pointe. I thought it was overpriced and I didn’t think it was particularly attractive or welcoming. The woman that I spoke to was very helpful, but they were very expensive. I didn’t care enough for the facility, it's the layout or anything.

Freedom Pointe was very nice. I liked the decor. The dining room looked like an elegant restaurant and there was even a little pub. I wouldn't mind living there, if I had to live somewhere other than home.

I visited Freedom Pointe for my parents. It was a beautiful facility. It was also no more than 2 miles away from where I live. Their rooms were big and spacious and their staff seemed all nice. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. However it's beyond my parents' price means.

I didn't like the location of the whole complex of Freedom Pointe. There wasn't enough property or anything to it, and it's too small. And I did not like the unit itself. They had taken two units and put them together to make one big unit. But there was no view when you look out the windows. It was just not a great place to go.

Freedom Pointe building was phenomenal. It probably is the Taj Mahal of assisted living. It's very nice, but quite costly. I remember the starting cost was over $5,000. And then if you needed additional care, it will go from there. They have a chef there on site. I didn't actually taste any of the food, but their menus looked good. They didn't have an all-inclusive price, and that was kind of what we were looking for.

my overall experience with the facility was great! They were very personable, patient, and kind with their interactions with the residents as well as with all of the visitors. The cleanliness of the building was superb, with shiny buffed hallways, impeccable rooms and bedding. Sheets were changed twice a day, and the activities they had for the residents were not only socially stimulating, but also great exercises in physical and mental capabilities! They even had a Wii for bowling and other motion - related video games! The food at the location was great, including a wide variety of options that kept you entertained and excited to eat. Vegetables were fresh, and were not frozen like most hospital locations. The cafeteria was very sunny and friendly, and overall it was a great location that helped get my wife's grandmother healthy again. While she still has and always will have Alzheimer's, she is not living back t home and enjoying the Florida retirement she always deserved!

My mom has been to Freedom Pointe at The Villages for about a month. It's a really nice facility. It's excellent! The place is immaculate. I couldn't complain at all. She was under Medicare, but now she's pretty much plateaued on to her recovery. They decided that she's not able to go to an assisted living facility. It was a choice between putting her in long-term care facility or bringing her home, and I decided to bring her home. She's not progressing well and she's still continuing to lose weight. Because of the Medicare guidelines and everything, they wouldn't be able to care for her anymore. So I had to come up with an alternative pretty quick. The facility offered to go over her chart with the home care provider that she have now. They told her what the psychologist, the physical therapist, and the occupational therapist said what she needs to be doing to speed up her recovery. So I decided to bring her home and just get a home care for her.

it was a wonderful place to be everything was so clean the staff was so friendly and everyone seemed to get along the tenants were happy. it barely cost anything to live there and its right by downtown the villages by far is one of the best spots for anyone to live in the elderly community there is so much to do there. at the home there was all sorts of games to play and people to talk to there were no visiting hours you were free to do as you please and thats why i give this place a four star rating its just so nice and spacious and the rooms are immaculate.

I was very satisfied when I visited the establishment. Very clean and friendly, and organized. Our group the Victorian Tea Hat's went there to have a tea p;arty put on by your recreation director. It was very nice but not equiped to drink tea in a tea cup or pour from a tea pot.
