My neighbor has been a resident here for about 5 years. I visit him regularly and so do his family and friends. My Uncle needed a place like this 3 years ago. Because we saw how well our neighbor was being taken care of, we brought my Uncle here. I visited several times during Irma. The Crown maintained their standards even during the duress of the hurricane. My Mother is 88 years old. When she needs a place like this, our family will bring her here.

I had an in-person tour of Crown Court. Location-wise, because my sister-in-law is more active, so it's more of a downtown location. It's a converted hotel that is assisted and independent living, so it's very personal. I believe there were only 40 units in it, so it's a very comfortable location. It's technically assisted living, but it's very independent because it depends on the client or the patient. It's a full service as far as there were three meals a day, and there's housekeeping, laundry, that kind of thing. The owner of the place was very knowledgeable and very caring. He explained what they're doing to upgrade, enhance, and all that. He is very, very nice. One thing that impressed me is that as we got the tour, it was dinner time, and how many of the people he knew by name, and it was very personal. We did not try the food, but it smelled and looked good. It's an older building, but it's almost like it's got some historical value to it. So it may not be as modern and fresh as some of the newer ones, but it was spotless. They've got outdoor areas. They do have some nice areas.

I found a place for my friend John. He has been comfortable there for the last six months. The name of it is Crown Court. I went and checked it out, and it fit all our needs, so I took him there. It is a nice facility, and they take good care of him. He has a nice room. He got a view off the main street. The place is well kept and close to his doctor, which they take him to. Their dining room is lovely. The staff is very gracious. They're nice people. I can't really think of anything that I thought was negative there; I can only say that I think my friend is happy and is in a good place. It is very good. My experience with those people has been very good.

I put my friend in crown court a few times when we would go away. they were all so she had to go to the hospital while there and the owner was there a lot seeing her and calling me with updates. I would recommend them to everyone! I think there great.

My Dad was there for a few months before he passed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The owner is an amazing and caring person. I thought the historic hotel was a wonderful setting for the elderly. It felt like you were staying in a hotel room. My Dad had a single room with his own things brought in to decorate. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking.

My Mom lived here during the last years of her life. She loved it. Not all rooms are doubles, Mom lived in a single. The furniture was from her own home and decorated with things from her home, so I'm not sure why the above commenter said it was like a hospital room. The staff was the greatest when it came to Mom and in dealing with me, her health Power of Attorney.
