I am staying at the Rose Garden of Fort Myers. We have our own apartments here. They provide the laundry and cleaning. My experience has been good. The staff is good. My apartment is basically a room with a private bath. It's kept up, clean, and adequate. It's a relatively pleasant place to be. It's a large community dining area. They provide meals three times a day. The food is adequate. I don't have any complaints about it. They have minimal activities. There were no trips or anything. There were no clubs. There's a library, public TV rooms, and outdoor covered spaces.

My husband has moved into The Rose Garden of Fort Myers. So far, it's fine. What made me decide on The Rose Garden is that his rent is cheaper here than where he was staying before. Also, they're going to get him on Medicaid because our finances are running low, so that was a big help for me. The staff are excellent. My husband's room is almost the same shape as the room that he had at the other place. It's one room with a bathroom and a closet. The dining area is fine. They order off of the menu, whereas at the other place, you eat what they gave you, whether you like it or not. For activities, there's a jigsaw puzzle here that the patients are working on. My husband is also able to have his own television, so we're going to have that installed on the wall. So far, so good. Everyone seems to get along just fine. They had a little bake sale here a little while ago, and they were selling baked goods to the patients as well as to the visitors. This is not a Hilton by any means. It's an older building, but it's well-kept. The grounds are well-kept, too. They also have a special parking place for would-be clientele, and that's where I park all the time.

My mother is at The Rose Garden of Fort Myers. When we got there, even though there were a lot of people, it seemed like a very small, tight-knit community. My mom just kind of felt at home and at ease. They do bingo on the weekends. They have a bunch of card games and regular games that they play. All of their meals are served in a room like a restaurant. There is a theater where they can go and watch a movie together. I went and had lunch with my mom on Sunday, and it was good. It wasn't like five-star quality, but it was home-cooked meals. She gets dessert with lunch and dinner, so that's probably her favorite part. The staff members are friendly. I'm pretty impressed with their memory. They all know my mom, which room she's in, and the things that she likes or doesn't like. They've spent enough time with her that she's not just another old lady in a room. The moving process was very disorganized. My mom was supposed to move in one day. At 8:00 PM the night before, they called and told me she couldn't move in. I had already given notice. So for three days, I didn't have anywhere for her to be, so that was pretty hard to take care of. They are communicating great with my mom, but I'm the one who pays the bill, and I haven't been told how to pay that yet or where to pay it. They could communicate a little bit better with the family members.

The Rose Garden of Fort Myers looked like the best one. It was in the right price range. When I met the girl, she was very in tune with the needs of the seniors around her. The staff members were very responsive. They have a garden with a footpath where you can walk around, and that's closed in, so the memory care people can go out there, and that's nice. The rooms are good-sized, and they can put two people in. But the room I looked at was for one person, and they had a TV. The facility was very clean.

We toured The Rose Garden of Fort Myers assisted living and that was nice. Priscilla, the one that handles admissions, was awesome and helpful. The patients were happy and they all were interacting with one another. That's where we were looking to put my mother in if my sister wasn't able to take her in. It's a nice facility, clean, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were excellent. They have semi-private and some private ones. They were roomy and weren't like a small space. They have bathrooms and the accommodations were great. They work with the patients that are not able to do things so they can't be on their own. They offer help with bringing their meals that they can't come out to get. They're putting out what the patients need. They have a game room with all kinds of games. You can play puzzles and bingo there. They have a movie night room and do outside outings too. The facility had a lot of rooms, it was clean, and it didn't smell. You could see a person disinfecting while the Covid was going on. There was somebody every time I went in that was wiping the place up or something. They didn't let anyone in and they had a lot of Covid precautions and I respected that because they were protecting their patients. When a lot of facilities had COVID, they did not.

Rose Garden If you want a loving caring place for your loved ones with adequate medical care in my opinion the Rose garden is not the place. The following is my opinion in my opinion only of the experience of the worst year of my life in 68 years. This is from September 2019 September to 2020. I have had several bad years in my lifetime. But this time that I spent at the Rose garden has been the worst year of my life ever. A little bit about myself I am retired US Air Force Master Sergeant Medic worked 11 years in Emergency Rooms. So, I know a little bit about medical. This place does not provide adequate medical care in my opinion. They cannot even give a shot or take a simple blood sugar for a diabetic. Julie N is the so-called charge nurse. She is an LVN licensed vocational nurse aka licensed practical nurse LPN not A RN registered nurse she does not have the education. On several occasions she has embarrassed me by telling me that I stink in front of other staff and in front of other residents. I do have cancer, and this causes a particular odor and she's insulting me and making me feel bad. When I first became a resident Juli lied to me and my family. She told us a C pap machines were not allowed at all. After researching it the state law says that with a physician’s order C pap machines are to be allowed in all assisted living facilities. I got a letter from my VA doctor stating that I was to be able to use my C pap machine. Juli decided that this letter was not good enough and would and denied me the use of my C pap machine. I have severe sleep apnea and I'm five times more likely to die in my sleep than a person without severe sleep apnea. I do not get deep sleep or REM sleep and I have been deprived of it for a whole year because of Juli's actions. I put in a complaint with aka and this really made her mad. Her aggressive behavior even showed more. I got a letter from my doctor stating that I was to administer my own insulin because I am a diabetic. She did not like me doing this and at her first opportunity she stopped me from administering my own insulin. In doing so I had to hire a home health nurse RN registered nurse to come in and give me insulin injections. She had a nurse practitioner overwrite a doctor's order and changed my insulin from twice a day to once a day and changed the amount that I was receiving. This caused me to have higher blood sugar averages and changed my A1C dramatically. She is overstepping her bounds as a LVN. This was also in my acca complaint. By doing this it also took away my testing supplies so if I was getting into a condition where I was severely low, I could go into a diabetic coma due to her actions. I do not detect severe slow lows until I am under 60% which is quite low for blood sugars.

We've been very pleased with The Rose Garden of Ft Myers. It has a very pleasant atmosphere when you go in. They have seating that's like a large living room. It's very clean and everybody has been really nice, helpful, and cordial. The rooms are very clean, and there's no bad odor or anything like that. The meals have been good and the staff has been very attentive with anything that's needed. They worked with us on our Medicaid. They also have an activities director who does a really nice job. Even with the current situation my sister has done video chats once a week. They're all confined in their rooms at this time and their meals are brought to them. The residents are taken in small groups out to the courtyard. They sit far apart from each other, but at least that gives them a little outside time. They even play bingo out there. My sister has depression and the current situation is not really helpful, but the staff has recognized that and have been doing whatever they can to help her situation. Overall, we've been really pleased with how they treated us and everything else. It's a smaller community, and it's in the middle of the road as far as size, but for the price range, you're getting an excellent place. They do a good job and they've been very careful with things. Plus, the food has been good, and my sister has no complaints about the food.

I toured The Rose Garden of Ft. Myers, but I'm already familiar with this place because my husband was in their memory care facility. I was very impressed with the way he was taken care of there. However, the place was smaller because they only have rooms. It would be fine for my husband, but not for an independent living person. They also have a lot of activities for the residentsl; I noticed that when I was visiting. For me, it wouldn't be for independent living, but the food was excellent and the level of care was outstanding, that's why I wanted a tour.

Our loved one was there for just a year. He was very elderly. He loved everyone and was on first name basis with the entire staff. We were always able to quickly find someone to address his special needs. I would recommend this for anyone. So thankful for the tendercare he received from everyone. Special thank you to Geraldine and Tracy and Mark

I moved my family member into The Rose Garden in October of 2016. It is a safe, clean and caring senior living facility. The Rose Garden is new and attractive. The lovely, spacious lobby is an inviting gathering place for residents, as is the shaded porch near the entry where residents can relax in rocking chairs as they watch people come and go. Hallways are bright and clean, and the dining room is charming with its cloth table coverings and neatly arranged place settings. There is a “ballroom” for social activities such as the weekly happy hour, a monthly themed dinner party, a pretty courtyard with a gazebo, and a media room where residents can watch movies together. Every interaction I have had with management, medical staff and caregivers has given me confidence that my family member receives the best possible care. They go out of their way to be kind and friendly, demonstrating genuine interest in her happiness and well being. They are always willing to listen, and have been responsive to my questions or concerns. My sister finds dining to be a pleasant experience. She takes advantage of the opportunity to order from an “always available” menu when she doesn’t care for the choices of the day. The main meal of the day is served at lunch, while supper is lighter fare. Seating is assigned, and meal times are the same for everyone. I am impressed with the many activities and opportunities for interaction listed on the activities calendar. When visiting, I often observe residents playing bingo or participating in mentally stimulating games led by the activity director. Every month there is a special dinner party in the ballroom. I had the opportunity to attend the Mardi Gras party and found it to be delightful. The entire room was decorated from floor to ceiling in a French Quarter theme. A delicious New Orleans style dinner was served and there was live entertainment. Some staff members and residents danced, and everyone appeared to have a wonderful time. The Rose Garden has been an excellent choice for my family member. In addition to being everything I could hope for in the way of quality of care and facilities, the cost is affordable and the monthly fee is all-inclusive. There were never any added fees. I highly recommend it as an assisted living facility.

We had to find a safe and happy place for my mother-in-law. She had lived on her own for 30 years or more. She was very independent. And now we had to remove all that from her. Rose Garden helped her transition from her independent lifestyle to a very helpful lifestyle. They were great to her and us. She was able to live the last part of her life in a loving, caring and family environment. I'm very thankful for all that works there.

I moved my brother into the Rose Garden last month. This facility is by far the best in the area. The care he receives and the concern of the staff for his well-being is exceptional. The extras like the personal call buttons, included phone and cable, and the happy family atmosphere have made my brother feel like he is at home.

I must tell you I can sleep at night, from far away, knowing my father is being so well cared for at The Rose Garden of Fort Myers. Since I moved him in, when they first opened their doors, I have been nothing short of thrilled he is there. Finding a safe, caring and amazing place as this is truly a blessing from God. From Greg the owner, to Geraldine, to Laura, to the absolutely amazing nurse Carol, to the lovely front desk ladies(sorry I don't have ALL of your names, to the kind considerate staff attending to my dad, to the fabulous Activities director and to the great chef and food service folks...just EVERYONE has been fabulous. If anyone out there is thinking about a place for their parent(s) I do not hesitate to HIGHLY recommend The Rose Garden of Fort Myers. THANK YOU to everyone there!

My wife was to move into an assisted living facility on 16 June 2016 and we had the room ready, clothes unpacked and all set for the night. Had lunch at the Rose Garden and saw an Occupational Therapist that afternoon. He thought she might a dislocated right shoulder and should have it popped in place at Lee Memorial ER. At the ER, I described how she was having balance problems and a CAT scan was ordered which showed bleeding on the brain which would have been fatal if not operated, which they did on 17 June 2016. Because of the subsequent care required she is now in Health Park. The Rose Garden was extremely fair and buying the furniture that I had purchased for the room at what I paid for them. Reimbursed me for the time we couldn't stay though they weren't obligated to. I feel that this was very admirable of them. The staff and personal are very friendly and helpful. Special accolades has to go to Geraldine. She will go out of her way to help and assist you. She is very concerned about the well being of all. When the furniture that I had ordered, she, Geraldine, along with the manager set up the room, made the bed and got all in order for my wife's arrival. I highly recommend this facility.

The first thing I noticed about The Rose Garden Of Ft Myers was the neighborhood was kind of different, but the facility itself was very nice because it's brand-new. They did a good job, and they have a nice facility. I would certainly consider it. They provided answers and provided me with literature.

Moving into the Rose Garden has greatly improved my mother's quality of life. She will be the first to tell you that she wished she would have moved sooner. However, fear of the unknown and the stigma attached to ALFs held her back and kept her living a lonely life. Both her mental and physical health deteriorated as a result. Now she has all of her meals with her friends in the beautiful dining room, attends exercise classes, Bible study, movies in the theater, and more. Undoubtedly, her favorite events are the elaborate monthly parties they have at the Rose Garden. Each one has a different theme and there is music and dancing. As for me, knowing that mom is safe and happy brings me brings me piece of mind that is positively priceless.

I remove my dad from another facility due to lack of promised social activities. Since moving my dad into The Rose Garden, he has blossomed physically and emotionally. The employees are top notch and the care for my dad and fellow residents is excellent.

Determining where to move my 82-year-old mother with Alzheimer’s was not an easy decision. As soon as I walked into The Rose Garden and took the tour with Geraldine, I knew this place was the place for mom! She has settled in nicely. All of the staff are very kind, concerned and helpful. I am very comfortable knowing my mom is being well cared for.
