My sister has been at At Home Care Assisted Living Facility for a while. It's not an institution atmosphere, it's a family, and it's like being in someone's home. It's very small, that's why she gets a lot of attention there. The staff is very good, and the food is excellent. I haven't been able to go when they're eating because of the new rules with the virus. It's in a country area. It's like a community, and it's very nice. They have music and art and other things as well. It's a good value because she gets a lot of individual attention. There are only a few people there because that's all they can handle, which is better. The other ones are too big.
What you can do with Caring
About At Home Care Assisted Living Facility, Inc in Eustis, Florida
At Home Care Assisted Living Facility has become Lake County's Premier Dementia Care Residence for a reason! Being family owned & starting our care residence due to caring for our own family members with Dementia, we understand the need for Dementia residents to receive personal one on one attention in a smaller setting, where care staff, visitors and other residents truly become family! And with our truly all-inclusive memory care rates, let us provide some of the caregiver relief thats probably long overdue!
Caring for a loved one with Dementia is often undervalued & misunderstood. Having personal experience as a caregiver for our loved ones with Dementia allows At Home Care ALF owners to truly anticipate the needs of Dementia residents and the environment in which they thrive the most. We know from experience that understanding their need for daily assistance with hygiene, communication through body language, incontinence & other activities of daily living tasks, all in a clean, safe & comfortable environment, takes patience, skill, encouragement and a team of care partners, including family, who genuinely care. This level of personal care has successfully proven to enable our residents with Dementia to retain as much of their daily living skills as possible, preventing unnecessary decline.
With At Home Care ALF's small, Dementia-personalized residence, you'll never worry about your loved one getting lost in the shuffle. Every time you call, someone from our small group of experienced caregivers who personally know your loved one by name and can immediately let you know if they have eaten well that day or slept well last night answers. Or they can simply pass the phone & let your loved one tell you how their day is going. We encourage family to be a part of their loved one's care and to expect immediate results, should something ever not meet your expectations, as we aim to exceed them, not just get by. Owners are often on duty and are only a phone call away at all times, day or night

At Home Care Assisted Living Facility is family owned and operated. It is a husband, wife, and a brother team -- the brother is a trained chef, so he is the personal chef for the six residents. They have a well-laid out website that even highlights the chef doing a certain dish for the residents, and it is very informative. Another big plus is the very personal and very, very friendly people. Another thing that I really like is that it is a home. It is not a sterile, white-tiled facility, but it is a nice, cozy home and my father has his own master's bedroom. The price was reasonable. I was surprised by two things -- it was very clean and there was no urine smell. They also invited me to come out anytime, unannounced. These features are really important to me, and I was surprised because they are rare to find at facilities like these. They also are up to date on technology, and we can call each other on a regular basis. I can call anyone of the facilitators at any time because I have their phone numbers and we talk all the time. So I am updated on my father's care, and I know nobody else has that. They also text and share pictures on a regular basis and they have Skype cameras,so I can Skype with my father or them or both at the same time, and check-in. I can also check-in on the cameras too if I want. There is nothing to hide, which is what I am trying to say, and it really impressed me. So it was really, really awesome. They are actually trying to open another facility not too far from here either, so I would highly recommend them.
