Ansley Parke at Orange City was a very nice community. They had some rooms available. It was like a spur-of-the-moment thing, but they had a packet ready for people to know the pricing. I walked in and they accommodated me to give me the tour. They showed us around. Price-wise, it's the same as the other place, but it was nice. The only thing is that it felt a little bit cold. The apartments were very nice. They even have one available that they showed us, and it has a nice view and it's close to the dining room. It was nice and bright. We liked it. However, the residents were cold. In the other two places when we passed, people were like 'hello' and friendly. The staff who gave the tour was knowledgeable.

Ansley Parke at Orange City had an activities director and I thought because my sister is an artist, that would have been a wonderful fit. Their food was delicious. The lady that was doing the tour ate with us and there were three residents who were sitting there. We spent probably 45 minutes to a quarter of an hour and they were happy to answer questions and interact with us. Both of the gentlemen that were sitting right in front of me had been there for at least three years. They had a large craft room, a gym, an exercise space, a good-sized library, a place where people were doing puzzles, and where people could do bingo. I prefer this place for my sister, and they had a movie theater, but that's not something that appealed to her. The lady was genuinely friendly as opposed to friendly as a salesperson that needs to be.

Everything here was neat and clean. They offered us a meal, but we didn't do it at the time. I saw other people there that I knew, and they said the food is excellent. It's not homemade all the time, but it was good. They're very friendly. I thought that this would be my second choice. They have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. They were very accommodating with the different rooms they showed us. We saw one that was all set up and a vacant one that was empty. The staff who gave the tour was very good at giving us answers, even if it wasn't necessarily to their benefit. They really impressed my daughter and me. They have activities and a piano.

The rooms were good. They were nice looking, clean, and comfortable. The staff’s work attitude was very good. The food was good. They had a library, a TV room, and they did all kinds of different events every day.

I like this facility a lot. I was very impressed with everything in it. The place feels like home. This was the very first thing that I noticed when I entered the facility. All the residents I saw when I visited seemed happy, contented and relaxed. Their staff was very kind and friendly. This place could have been good for my mom but things changed as planned. She would not be able to live in assisted living type of environment at this point.
