My father was at Brightview on New Canaan. He stayed there a couple of years ago for a while. I don't think they had enough staff for the level of care he needed at the time. It was newer, so it was a nice facility. They didn't have as much going on. They didn't have a movie theater. They had one lounge area. It wasn't as roomy as some of the other places, but they were very accommodating with the room that they gave him. They also let us use some of the furnishings in the room, so I didn't have to buy furnishings for him; it was very kind of them. They didn't have as many food options. Whatever they have that night is what you get. It was clean. The common area was a little small. They had an activities calendar, but he was not participating at that point. They had card games, movie nights, cocktail hour, a comedian came in once, and music one night. They would repeat week over week. They need more aides on duty, more skilled nursing, and more food options in case you didn't like the meal that they had.
