My mom moved to Maplewood at Strawberry Hill's memory care, and it's so nice. I liked everything, I just didn't like the price. The people are good and the facilities are nice, but it was getting pricey. They have different activities and memory care, the same things as every other community. The staff is very good and the food is very, very good. The room is very well-decorated, it's very nice like a hotel room. Their dining area is also like a hotel, it's like going into a nice restaurant.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill was very clean. There were a lot of windows and a lot of natural light. The staff that I met was very professional and very pleasant, and the tour guide, Cary Jackson, was very good. There was a garden courtyard and a hair salon. The dining area was very nice, well-lit, clean, and pleasant.

I took a tour of Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, and it was nice. I have no issues with them, but my father needed more than they could provide. From what I saw, it looked nice and clean. Everybody seemed to be having a great time. I saw a few people watching movies, playing board games, and those type of things that keep people busy. Everybody was friendly. I didn't see any issues, nobody was angry, moody or any of that nature, and everybody seemed fine. It was an old building that they remodeled; it was nice on the inside, and the outside was clean.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill had a more elderly, old-nursing-home feeling than the place we chose for mom, which was more upbeat, modern, and had a younger crowd. It's an entirely different feel than the other one. I didn't get a good vibe. It felt old and tired. It felt like people were sleeping when you walk in the door. It just didn't have the same vibe as the facility that my mom got into does. It's nothing personal against the place. I think it's just that the facility my mom went to is newer, so the people are younger and funkier. The people at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill may have been there a long time. I looked at them before COVID. They provide food, nursing if you need it, and recreation, and they have a van that does trips and things. The staff was wonderful. The facility was just a little outdated and old fashioned.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill looked very attractive. The staff was fine and showed me around. The garden was very nicely fixed up and tended. I saw some activity rooms and they have very nice dining rooms. The layout is nice and I like that the place is not too high or too big compared to other places.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill is the best of all. It's small, nice, and feels comfortable. It doesn't feel like being in a facility, because it's almost like an extended home. It's more cozy, and it's personalized care.

The food at Maplewood of Strawberry Hills is fine but not exceptional. The staff has a huge turnover. My dad is in a small, private studio room in the dementia unit. They have very nice concerts and had an extremely nice Veterans Day celebration. It is an absolutely beautiful facility. When my dad was in the assisted living area, he had a very lovely, extremely spacious room with a very small kitchen on the ground floor before we moved him to a smaller room in the dementia unit.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill is very cozy and warm. It's a renovated school building. The program to me left a good deal to be desired, but unfortunately the rooms were all single rooms. Their dining room is very beautiful and small. I have eaten there many times, and they have a wonderful chef. I think that their program is not sophisticated enough for me.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm so glad you had a good experience visiting the community and meeting the dedicated staff of associates. We're happy to learn you enjoyed the food and of course, meeting Chef Joe. With regards to our private apartments, our accommodations are varied in size. Perhaps you were searching for a specific sized apartment that was not available at the current time of your visit. We try to accommodate our guests in their searches. Regardless of the size of the apartment though, all are spacious, airy and with large of large windows and beautiful natural sunlight. Our dining rooms and common areas such as living room, library, pub, country kitchen, etc., are often places where residents enjoy meeting and chatting with others and are noted as an extension of each resident's space and home. Many residents do not stay in their apartments for much of the day, and often find themselves residing there each evening to sleep. Please come back and join us soon for an upcoming event or visit. We'd love to see you and share with you the Maplewood lifestyle. Thank you again for your feedback.

My mom will be moving in to Maplewood at Strawberry Hill next month. It is a relatively new facility. It is clean. The main reason why we choose it is because of the location relative to where my mom lives now. They have transportation to services that my mom currently uses, and that is a big factor that she is keeping the services that she has. She will be moving in to a studio, but we are going on a list for a one-bedroom. We didn't try to eat there, but their facility looks clean and organized. For what they say they offer, they seem to offer activities there in the facility whether it is exercise, art classes, craft projects, or movies. They also have activities off-site. So we are looking forward to see what it can be.

My mother moved in to Maplewood at Strawberry Hill. The care is going very well. The food is not great -- my mother's not happy with the food -- but other than that everything is great. There they have bingo, baking, cooking, and arts and crafts. Also I think the staff is amazing and wonderful. They really have a good staff; very attentive and very caring. She is comfortable, and she feels that it’s a warm staff. They make a point of getting to know the residents. I absolutely would recommend the place. It is a very warm, caring, and positive environment.

Brand new facility (though clearly managed by an experienced team), extremely clean and upscale without feeling too fussy. The rooms were relatively spacious with good-sized closets and modern bathrooms, though the showers were fairly small. We toured primarily the secured "Currents" floor (moderate-to-late stage dementia) and were extremely impressed by the connection staff had with the residents (greeting each other by first name, lots of smiles and affection). The facility allows someone to age in place - so barring any extreme nursing requirements, residents would not have to move into a skilled nursing facility. Residents appeared to be extremely engaged (on various levels) with personalized activities, a visiting pet for therapy, word games, etc - multiple activities happening, but it didn't feel too busy or potentially overwhelming for a dementia resident. We didn't taste the "farm-to-table" food, but by reputation it's amazing. They also pride themselves on having an RN onsite 24/7, and a "brain center" where residents work with computers that have special programs for cognitively impaired residents. Overall, the community felt incredibly welcoming - I would have no concerns about my mom living here. It's definitely on our short list.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, as a facility, looked satisfactory. The place seemed a little bit too quiet to us though. It was fine in terms of cleanliness; it was alright. We had lunch there and lunch was fine. I also thought that the staff was nice. However, we weren't terribly impressed with this place.

Maplewood at Strawberry Hill is a lovely facility and it is brand new. The design is much more conducive to seniors and I like the arrangement of their apartments. And of course, it's brand new so that definitely makes a big difference. The staff were very helpful although I didn't really interact with very many people. Some staff that walked by said hello. We have friends there and they said the food is very good. Their rooms, the windows are high enough that you can put furniture it. The walls also have windows so people can bring more of their furniture with them. And because it's new, you got new carpet, new bathroom and that makes a difference.
