This is a first class facility. I've visited quite a few nursing homes in my day but none as professional as this . The staff and care here was taken to a whole new level. And a special thanks to Pam the social worker who went above and beyond to set up follow up appointments 700 miles away.. I highly recommend this facility.

My Mom has been a long term resident at Hancock Hall for almost 2 years. She was also a short term rehab resident twice before. Hancock Hall is a wonderful facility. I know that Mom is in excellent hands. She receives the best of care from the Nursing staff. There are many activities throughout the day that she can attend. The Recreation staff is sure to invite Mom to all activities, especially her favorites. The facility is attractive and always very clean. The owners are on site and available to speak with. Mom has made new friends with other residents and staff which makes us happy. Choosing a nursing home is not easy, but I know that we chose the best facility. It makes my siblings and I very happy to see that Mom is happy, well cared for and safe..

We were seeking respite care for a family member that was always cared for at home. I was very wary to entrust her care to others. Filosa was highly recommended to me, and they did not disappoint. Not only were they welcoming, they listened to all my directions on how to care for her and all her needs. They made her stay as close to home as could be. From our experience the staff was always pleasant and efficient with everyone. We have since returned for two more respite stays, allowing us time to visit out of state extended family, all with peace of mind. Filosa has been a blessing for us.

My Mom was in her last months with Altzheimer's Disease. I chose Filosa for her care, and so very pleased I did. The entire staff gave her the finest care possible, and all phone calls that I made to check on her were always answered with as much information they could share. I might also add that the registration and paperwork were handled very professionally, and done with a smile and easing my concerns. Thank you Filosa for a job very well done.

Years ago my grandfather was at Filosa on hospice care. It was a difficult time for our family. But to this day I can remember the names of the nurses and aides who cared for him. He was treated with dignity and much kindness during his final days. I would recommend this nursing home without reservation.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE FOR REHAB. They do not work to improve them especially if older. They just stick them on an exercise bike. Then they find they can't meet Medicare goals and they get the needy patient removed from Medicare at their direction. If the rehab is challenging they give up and don't bother. Really do not have the patient's interest at heart. HORRIBLE administratively. Good Food. Nursing staff is good but DO NOT DO REHAB HERE!!!!

The facility was welcoming towards family members, and made accommodations for visiting relatives as needed, including a very well-equipped game room which visitors (particularly younger visitors) were allowed to use when the resident was indisposed for one reason or another. The nursing staff w as patient with the residents, and also intervened on behalf of visitors in a few situations, notably when a resident possibly suffering from dementia vehemently yelled at a child for changing the channel on the communal TV which was not in use prior to the child remotely turning it on. Care seemed to be adequate for its residents, and no negligence was evident in our case, but they were not immediately in touch with us when an accident would occur, such as cracking her pelvis during a fall or some other similarly worrisome event. Other than the need for more communication between the facility staff and families, I found the facility well run and on top of most things.
