Maple Ridge of Plover Memory Care Campus has a really strong activities program, and so they work hard to keep the residents busy. They were very accommodating. It was so moving. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. My aunt's room is an adequate size. They have a place where the residents shower, but they have their own toilet and sink in their room, which is nice. They have nice community gardens where the residents garden and then they eat the produce. They frequently post pictures of the residents on Facebook, too, which is nice for family members to stay informed. They have a really good cook there. A lot of homemade foods.

A friend recommended that we visit the Maple Ridge of Plover in Wisconsin while were were there - searching for assisted living facility options for our uncle. He wants to stay in the region since he has a lot of friends and family nearby. We did not have an appointment - but the staff was very nice and agreed to let us take a tour in any case. The grounds were all tidy and well kept. Our uncle would really like the park-like atmosphere. The interior was well-designed, fresh and pleasant to be in. The resident's rooms were spacious and homey - with nice decors that appeared to be slightly individualized. We did not try the food - but it all looked healthy and delicious. The staff seemed to go out of its way to ensure that all of the residents were happy with their food choices. The menu showed that someone took the time to think about quality food -- providing variety, healthy options and great taste. The food looked and smelled delicious - like something you'd find in an upscale casual dining establishment. The main dining room was communal, but felt intimate. Residents could sit in small groups to have their meals. There was a nice variety of physical activities - from walking to yoga, gym work - to swimming at the local facility. Our uncle has always been very active, so he will really appreciate this. They also have a vast number of indoor activities - which is nice for cooler months. However - those wishing to get out and do things in winter have those options, too. This is a very nice, friendly, well-tended facility with great staff and happy residents.
