I've committed myself to go to Chai Point. I've done my tours and worked it out and that's typically the best for me. Part of the reason I'm going here is that I'm Jewish. It's a 2-bedroom apartment that we plan on getting. It's a little smaller than the place I'm living in now and in an environment that is much better protected. It's very Jewish, although there are some non-Jewish people living there, but you don't have to participate in the religious events. The people are very supportive. It's in an excellent location. It's on the lakefront and it's a beautiful structure. It has a two-bedroom apartment with an elevator and the ability to cook your own food. It's got a complete kitchen and there is a dining facility in the place. It's expensive, but it's within our budget, and I find that the food there is good and the people are quite companionable. The way they run the place is good. They're very friendly, and the people seem to be highly independent. When I mentioned that I'll be moving there, the people were pleased to hear that. It's very close to what I was looking for. I've known about it for years. I've given talks there as a college professor. I see no reason not to go there. They're nice people. They have a proper restaurant. It's expensive, but it's a good place to eat. It's almost like eating in your own kitchen. They treat you like you're the owner. I have not had a meal that I didn't like. When people don't like what's on the menu, and oftentimes it's just something simple like scrambled eggs, they'll make you scrambled eggs instead of whatever is on the menu. The parking is superb. They have good indoor contained parking. If you are living there, you can stay indoors pretty much regularly. The whole block is a single building. Couples can go there, like when one of them is not feeling well, one can end up in the Jewish home, which is the hospital portion, and the other one can live at Chai Point.

Chai Point was an excellent place. The facility itself was elegant. The apartments were exceptionally lovely with large spaces and big windows. The dining room and the food were great. It had a lot of activities. It had arts like music, literature and painting.

We visited the Chai Point - Assisted Living facility while researching potential places for our aunt to live in the area. The outside grounds looked well maintained, with ample space for the residents, friends and families to enjoy. The grounds outside also offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around safely. The foyer area was fresh and bright with a nice, calming decor and comfortable, inviting furniture. Communal activity rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. All rooms were beautifully decorated and nicely furnished. The colors throughout the building were nicely designed, coordinated, soothing and helped create a comforting environment. We could see the seniors easily socializing, enjoying games, watching TV and participating in the many stimulating activities offered. The facility can also accommodate all levels of ambulation. The exercise room included bikes, treadmills and other equipment that could be used in exercise classes. The residents go on trips to visit the many lovely cultural offerings in Milwaukee and to dine at the casual and fine restaurant establishments. The dining room was spacious and well furnished. The food looked and smelled delicious. The menus had healthy options for alldiets. Healthy snacks were offered throughout the day and whenever requested. Private living spaces offered plenty of space for the seniors - with individually styled surroundings. Each unit had lots of natural light and fresh air with very beautiful and comfortable furniture. The residents looked very well cared for in this nicely designed living environment with caring and considerate staff.
