Everything about Cardinal View Senior Living is very good. The food could use an upgrade, but everything else, including the staff, is very good. My wife is in the memory care and their facilities are excellent. They have exercise programs and they bring in music once in a while. They have a beauty parlor and a contract with a physician's network. I would recommend it.

We went to Cardinal View Senior Living. It is a new facility, so it was very nice and spacious and clean, and there weren't any smells. All of the bedrooms seemed to be closer to the common areas, so that was nice. However, they did not have a separate entrance like some of the other places we toured. That's not necessarily a negative, but we tend to like some of the facilities that had a separate entrance. The condition of the place was very nice though. The staff we met was nice. One con for me is that we didn't see staff interacting with the patients on the memory care floor at the time we were there compared to how many staff we found interacting with patients at other places. I usually meet with the director of sales or marketing who leads the tour at most places. They took a lot of notes about my father-in-law. The person we met at Cardinal View was nice and asked a bunch of questions, but he didn't take any notes. And so, for us, that was like a little bit of a negative.

My tour of Cardinal View Senior Living was informative. I just found it way too expensive. For what you got, the rooms were pretty small. It's all brand new though, so it's nice. They had amenities I've seen that I thought the other place had, too, which was much less expensive. That was my main concern. The staff was very good, thorough, and answered all of my questions. The facility was very big. If you get a one-bedroom, the price was a little more reasonable, but even the two-bedroom was kind of small. I was kind of thinking I might move in and then I could get sort of a concierge assisted living for my sister there, but it was way too small for the two of us. The cleanliness looked very good. They had maintenance people there. I guess they're going to be opening up their memory care, too. For assisted living, they have three meals a day. They determine how many hours of care are needed and then price it like that. They have a nurse working with the resident. They had the usual amenities needed like medication management. They're well put together, but the rooms were small for what they charge.
