Cedar Crest is where I got my mother-in-law right now. They keep track of their residents. They know where they are. They check in the rooms on them. They have all kinds of different activities going on that they come in and check with them, see if they want to go, and bring them out to. The food is exceptional from what my mother-in-law tells me. It's a caring group. The staff is real pleasant to be around and they're real pleasant with their residents. They have enough staff that they're able to be with each individual resident. The facility is beautiful. They have a workout place where they take the residents to. They have a place to cut their hair and just everything that a resident needs. They took her to an exercise class where they sat down there and had everybody do exercises. They get them up and walk through the day with them. They've got an area that they go to and play cards. My mother-in-law told me she goes and plays cards with other people.

Cedar Crest was a very nice place. Everything looked nice in there. I wasn't crazy about the fact that you have to put down a chunk of money, but it's 85% refundable. It's something I would look at because the rent is lower than most places. The staff were knowledgeable and courteous. They had a lot of amenities, which I liked. I was hoping that they have a swimming pool, but they said that would be a liability. Other than that, they have a lot to do. They have walking trails. They were going to put up some new piers along the Rock River, so that's nice for people to go sit down with their dogs and go fishing. And everything was in the community as far as care, from independent to assisted to memory care. In terms of location, there are restaurants right in the immediate area and there are shopping close by. There's also banking if you want that.

I was impressed with Cedar Crest. Their apartment was roomy. It's really good and they got a lot going on. They have a beautiful woodworking area, a great exercise room, and a dining room that looked really good, too. The staff was very friendly. It's neat and we were very interested in them.

We went to Cedar Crest. We would have bought a small house there, except not only do they not allow smoking, but they also don't allow e-cigarettes, which makes no sense to me at all. We have to walk about eighty yards to light up a cigarette. It's very nice. It's a house, but once you're in, it's very easy to move up to higher levels of care. We just saw the house. It was lovely, and it had beautiful floors. It was just a lovely new house with plenty of room; it was well planned and nice. We would have to have a two-bedroom and a two-car garage. The person who gave the tour was excellent. He's been there for a number of years, he is a fairly young fellow, he answered all our questions, and he anticipated a lot of our questions. They have a lot of activities to keep them busy, the surroundings are beautiful, and a great deal of it is surrounded by woods.

We chose Cedar Crest for my parents because it is close to family, friends, and doctors' appointments. We didnt really get to see how they take care of any residents because of COVID-19. They just took us through the facility and a tour of the place. They were very good. It is close to everything in Janesville, it's reputable, and has been there for many, many years. It was just a gorgeous place, very pretty, and very nice. It has nice gardens, very pretty, and wooded in the back.

I didn't see many people walking around at Cedar Crest. It's a beautiful facility that felt big. When I walk through a lovely, newly redone facility with carpeting and you only see two or three people, I get a little bit concerned. I didn't know where the people were. The rooms were very nice. They had a schedule of activities. They were very good about giving us a really nice tour. I didn't ask about the assisted living because all of the rooms were occupied. They have a policy that they won't invade the residents' privacy, so we went to see the apartments in the independent living, and they were very nice. They had people come in to sing and do activities.

Cedar Crest was more like a hospital room, not a homey type. The staff gave a good presentation. I liked that they also had assisted living there. My mother could have been admitted under long-term care and moved into assisted living if she had improved. There were a lot of people sitting out in the common areas, and there were a lot of less-abled bodies. The location was a little challenging because of the road work, but the grounds were very nice.

Cedar Crest was top notch. They had incorporated in the facility a rehab, and my mother was actually there for rehab from an injury. She was very pleased with the service that she received while she was there. She was comfortable at the facility. However, it was 15 miles further away, and it was a higher cost.

My mother was in Cedar Crest for several years. She was in the nursing home part. It was right down the road from where she used to live and it was a very nice home. It was all positive and it was very clean. She had good care, lots of activities and they were very nice to her. The staff was very good. She had a 1-bedroom. There was always something going on, bingo, games and just all sorts of things.

Cedar Crest Assisted Living facility looked very well kept from the outside. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with tranquil tree-lined walkways and seating areas. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. They asked us about our uncle's living habits and explained how his life would be here. This facility had ample communal rooms for every activity imaginable, from reading in the library, to card games, physical exercise, ceramics and crafting and hosted meetings. The fitness center offers regular exercise classes and the ability to use the equipment bikes, treadmills and strength training machines. Some residents choose to get their exercise by walking around the grounds. The main dining room was nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. All units were well designed, efficient and yet still spacious. The living spaces were generous, and the studio and one bedroom we saw was beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. The outside activities featured many interesting cultural events in Janesville and the surrounding areas. They host singalongs, and other music gatherings a well as other interesting events. Seniors can do craft projects, tend the garden and visit the large auditorium for other interesting discussions and group events. This facility can accommodate a variety of ambulation levels and as a resident's needs change, care can be shifted between assisted living, personal care, rehabilitation, nursing, Alzheimer's, memory, respite and hospice care. This is a very well-designed, full service living environment for seniors that includes everything they need. We were very impressed and the staff seemed exceptionally helpful, kind and caring.
