We've decided to keep my mom at Living Tree Estates LLC. I like that it's a smaller community. The staff is really good and very helpful. They treat mom well. They take good care of her. I had a meal with her, but it wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination. The food isn't fantastic. They're looking for a cook but they're having trouble finding one. For her plan, the food is included. So she goes down for breakfast, lunch, and supper. They don't do a lot of activities, which is also another disappointment. She plays cards a lot, and they do bingo and prayer time. I wish there was an exercise class. They do have a little beauty salon in there that she enjoys going to, but that's it. We got mom a bigger room and they let us bring in a little baker's rack and a microwave, and she's got her TV and her computer. I made it like home for her. She has a full bathroom with a sink, a toilet, and a handicapped shower. The room is big and she's got a really big closet. We brought pretty much all of the clothes that she wanted to take. I didn't have to downsize her wardrobe at all. She has a full-size bed in there, a bookcase, a computer desk, a lift chair, and a small couch.

My husband has already moved into Living Tree Estates. It's been very good so far. He's only been there for a couple of weeks. The staff is very friendly, very skilled, open, and informative. His room is quite large, very clean, and very adequate. The bathroom is very clean and fresh. I have not tried the food, but I've seen what they have, and they have a lot of baloney and hotdogs. Because of COVID, they're not doing as many activities. There is a beauty shop and there is a beautician there three times a week, and he gets individual exercise almost daily. They have therapists that come in, a podiatrist that comes once a month to check their feet, and they have arranged transportation to doctor's offices. Right now, since there is no COVID in the place, I'm allowed to visit him, which is very nice.

Living Tree Estates is wonderful. They have a lot of activities and social groups. My parents' room is extremely clean. The food is excellent and very home-style cooking, and they have a chef. The place is more like a home, and it has a sun room, a gazebo, it's out in the country so there are horses in the fields that my dad watches, and turkeys come up to the window and birdfeeders. The staff is very sweet, kind, cheerful, happy and treat the people like family.

I visited Living Tree Estates, but we didn’t get to see a whole lot of things going on. From my impression, it wasn’t as active; maybe the ages were a bit higher than my dad would probably want to fit in. There was just something that triggered me not to have him actually even go and visit. The apartments were smaller, which actually is not a huge deal because they moved from another facility that had smaller rooms. There was just something different about it. It was not what I was looking for. The menu sounded good from what they showed us. They have a spacious area for eating, and whatever they were cooking smelled good.

One of the things that I am most impressed with at Living Tree Estates is that they make everything from scratch. I am really impressed by their variety of meals. My mother-in-law is in a private room with her own bathroom. The dining area is small, so it is a really comfortable, homey dining room area. She does not participate in a whole lot of activities, but they do offer quite a few things to do.

I liked the décor and the size of the rooms at Living Tree Estates as well as the size of the facility in general. The ultimate deciding factor was that they were willing to allow my mother to move there. Other places turned her down. The size of the individual rooms was a big factor as was the layout of the dining room and its location. It was also important that my mother had a living room. She has only been there for about 2 ½ weeks, so they're having a hard time getting her involved in activities, but she is starting to participate.

Living Tree is probably as close as you can get to home. They're cleaning all the time, it's very homey, very personable, very friendly, very concerning staff. I couldn't ask for anything more. It's exactly what you want for a relative to make sure they're taken care of properly.
