My parents have moved into Oak Park Place Menasha. It's very good. They're very caring staff. They did everything to make my parents comfortable and feel welcomed. And the residents were awesome as well. The staff went out of their way to be very helpful. They make sure we're taken care of. They're there to put up pictures on move-in day. They have just been checking in to make sure everything is good and comfortable, and that everyone is happy. They're very accommodating. We're very happy. Regarding the food, I have not tried it myself, but the reports I'm getting are that they're tasty. When it comes to the building, I'm very happy with the big wide hallways, natural light, and cleanliness. It's very good. They have a lot of diverse activities. They have intellectual things like readings and lectures. They also have little exercise classes and then they have social activities. They're trying to cater to everyone. They have a Veterans group, and they do football games and barbecues. They're trying to make it very nice. It's certainly expensive, but to me, knowing my parents are being cared for in such a good way is worth the money.

Physical place is good but for those that need more care, this is not the place. Organization, communication and follow through with important tasks is not good.

Oak Park Place Menasha is an excellent location. The building is very modern and has excellent ventilation. The heat is perfect. Most of the people here are very friendly. By and by, 90% of them are excellent. They have amenities. You name them, they have them available, like a salon. Not everybody uses them because you got your own things you brought in. The food is really good. They give you an option every day and what you want the next day. If you can't eat that or something, they offer other things for you. So, it's excellent from that standpoint. My apartment is also excellent. I had a lot of checking before I moved here and this is by far the best for the space, the apartment, and everything. I'm sitting in an area where there's sunshine on three sides of me and it looks out all the windows. The windows I got are the kind of those that would stick out from the building. There's one in the front and then two on the side. I got one of those in the main room and the living room, and they're both good-sized windows. The only problem is getting people to do what they need to do, but everybody's doing the best they can with the staff they have here and they are really good. If you check with anybody in this field or people that are providing this kind of assistance to us, that's the problem. They don't have enough people to do it. I just hope that more people will get involved in providing this assistance to us. We need it. We need people to help us.

There's a waiting list at Oak Park Place Menasha. It is the one that we picked for my brother-in-law. I liked that it was clean and welcoming. It was obvious that they had nursing care available for the residents. The activity areas were very nice, where they could play cards and games. The room itself was spacious and very nice. When he went there, he envisioned himself going there and moving in with his furniture. He was visualizing his personal items being in the room, so he liked it a lot. We only met with the person that gave us the tour, Tricia, and she was excellent. They have all kinds of activities available. There are books, a library, cards, and a lot of activities that he would have liked. There were areas that were off the side of the room for family to have more of a private visit. There were also common areas that were very nice.

My father has moved into Oak Park Place Menasha. The staff is good. Everything's very nice. They have two different room sizes. They either have a studio or they got a one-bedroom suite. We're in the studio and there's plenty of room in there. The dining area is nice. They encourage people to socialize, so they have set eating times and everybody gets together and they eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at set times. If you don't feel like going to the dining area, they will bring the food to your room. It's not like going to a restaurant and ordering off a menu, but there are a few choices for each meal. The food I tasted was good. I was happy with them. The activities vary according to the day, but they have a movie night where they play a movie in a big room and then they have snacks and sodas. They have music come in once in a while and exercise groups. I think we're still in that learning curve period. They're trying to get to know Dad and Dad is trying to get to know them, but if he pushes his button for service, they're very good about coming right away. They're very good about getting people to socialize. I think that's a big thing instead of just being locked up in your room.

We put our mother in memory care at Oak Park Place because we loved the location and design of the facility. Unfortunately this faculty wasn't staffed with enough qualified people to care for residents who needed help with medication, getting out of bed, using the restroom, laundry, and showering. There were only 2 people working during the nighttime shifts for the entire facility and some residents require a 2 person assist which left no caregivers available in areas such as memory care. There has been a lot of turn over of staff, nurses, and administration in 2022 and the memory care residents suffered because of this facility being understaffed and from lack of care and training. Check out the Wisconsin DHS (Department of Human Services report before putting your loved one in this facility.

Oak Park Place Menasha was phenomenal. I like the ability to do your own laundry if you don't want them to do it. They are in the same price range as the other ones we're looking at. Their campus was a little more compact than the other facility. It was in a good location and had a good outdoor area. They have plenty of nurses on staff. The apartments were pretty big. You could put two twin beds in the single bedroom. They have a variety of rooms. The first time my sister and I went in, it wasn't the greatest reception. But the staff was very pleasant when my parents were there.

Oak Park Place Menasha was well kept and looked like it was recently remodeled. The staff whom I talked to were informative too. They showed us a craft room, an entertainment area, and then the dining room. They just didn't have the separate bedrooms that we were looking for.

My father is at Oak Park Place Menasha. I'm not allowed to go in the building because of COVID. I met only two people on the staff and I got to see the room the day I moved him in and that was it. His room is fine; it's a studio. It has a very nice, homey, woodsy type thing that my father would like. We can only visit him outside for a half hour and that's it. The surroundings are nice. It has wildlife like deer and turkeys, and it's in a residential area. It's all just woods and the buildings in the middle, and it's very nice. He likes it there and the staff is very nice. It's quite expensive. He's in memory care and he's a level three, so he's the closest to the nurses' station. The first time we were gonna move him there they rejected him because he wasn't able to do anything, but they decided that they could take care of him and provide him with therapy.

I have been a resident at Oak Park Place assisted living for the past four months. The accommodations are very comfortable and the food is good with alternate choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful whether thet are cleaning my apartment or serving my meals. There are numerous activities scheduled daily and live entertainment for special occasions. I'm glad I chose Oak Park Place for my home.

Just a warning, do not put your loved ones here. They make a bunch of promises to you and have a nice facility to get you in the door, but the quality of care is so low. My grandpa was in memory care here and did not receive the care he was paying for. They fed him, but that's about it. Didn't help him with hearing aids, didn't clean his clothes ever or his bathroom, didn't try to get him out of his room at all. Very sad. Took him elsewhere and found a much more caring place with friendlier staff.

I was impressed with the prompt response and in depth interview on my aunt; all the better for proper placement. Had Olga not called, I would not have known about a new place, 3 years opened, which I picked for my aunt.

My parents are living at Oak Park Place Menasha assisted living and they like it there. The rooms are great. The staff and the people are wonderful. My parents have an apartment. They have something going on almost every day like bingo, cards, and people who come in to do mini-concerts. My parents really enjoy that. The meals are really good.

Kristen M. has been a super contact for Oak Park Place. Her patience in dealing with us for months as we mulled over what to do with Susan as her dementia got worse. We are confident through her efforts that Oak Park Place is right for her.

My dad is a new resident of Oak Park Place. Our family is very pleased with the outgoing friendly staff, and beautiful facility. Dad is comfortable, loves his living accommodations and is meeting new and interesting friends. We couldn't be more satisfied with our experience at Oak Park Place.

Oak Park Place Menasha was very nice, but the memory care area was much larger than another place I visited and didn't seem as well-staffed. There were people in different areas watching TV. The rooms were very nice and a little larger. I saw a common room where they had their meals.

Oak Park Place Menasha was very nice and is the number one place my mom has on her list. It had nice landscaping, and the place was very homey. People were very nice, and they had lots of activities. They were helping people doing crafts when we were there. The staff who toured us was very helpful and nice.

Kirsten did an excellent job showing me Oak Park place Menasha and explaining to me the options available and the process of occupancy. Her follow up was appreciated.
