Country Terrace of Wisconsin in Appleton didn't have rooms available that had a bathroom in them. It wasn't anything about the place, but whether it matched what we were looking for and that wasn't right for my mom. Mom would have liked her own bathroom, but the staff was very friendly, pretty thorough, answered all the questions, and provided brochures and stuff as well, not only for their facility but for other support systems in the area. So, that was very good.

We visited Country Terrace of Wisconsin in Appleton. They were skilled and knowledgeable, but I wasn't that impressed. The facility wasn't as nice as the others. It needed updating, but it was clean. Everything was cooked there, and it seemed pretty well run.

The Country Terrace Appleton assisted living facility was recommended by a friend in the region as an option for our aunt. As we walked through the building, we could see that the facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. The facility appeared like a very nice, homey community with a friendly atmosphere. We could see that the residents there are content and well cared for when we arrived. The interior design was nicely ordered and easy to navigate. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with very comfortable furniture. Rooms had good views with a beautiful and updated décor with lots of fresh air and light. The were many places for seniors to enjoy around the grounds safely. The property also had plenty of park-like space with tranquil, large trees and well maintained and manicured lawns. We saw seniors socializing in the many activity rooms. There was plenty of space for them to enjoy playing games, reading, watching films and TV or participating in a number of other physical and mentally stimulating activities. Each unit has nice views of the surrounding area. Bathrooms were designed with safety seats and rails. The private rooms were all decorated tastefully with a homey, light and airy atmosphere. The residents are offered healthy, home-style cooked meals in a casual restaurant setting. The menus included many interesting dishes, as well as the usual American style foods. The food looked and smelled delicious, as well as healthily prepared. Snacks also looked great and are are offered throughout the day and whenever residents desire them. The dining room areas were comfortable and spacious with a nice decor. The fitness center offered daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The equipment was available throughout the day and well maintained. Residents can also get safe exercise by easily navigating the garden paths. Their extensive calendar of events included many stimulating activities like fun ways to exercise with nature walks and the opportunity to enjoy all that the Appleton and surrounding region has to offer. The residents were content and well taken care of by caring and attentive staff.
