My husband is at Harbor Place at Cottesmore for rehab, and its close to our house. Theyre getting him to walk again, and theyve been doing an excellent job at that. He came in here not being able to do anything, now hes walking, feeding himself, and his recovery is almost miraculous. The physical therapy has been excellent. Its very clean, very accessible, and staffed 24/7. The staff has been kind and helpful. They have activities and a very friendly activities coordinator who tells me when things are happening. Its pretty expensive. My insurance is paying, but Im co-paying on top of the insurance.

The grounds at Harbor Place at Cottesmore were very nice. It's extremely well-manicured. Almost like they have a staff on hand that takes care of it. The apartments were about average compared to what I've seen in other places. The lady that took me around was very informative, very nice, and very cordial. They had card rooms, craft rooms, and social areas for various games and such.

Harbor Place at Cottesmore was very nice, clean, and comfortable. If you're in independent living and you come to the point that you need assistance, they come to you in your established apartment. The rooms had balconies and a full kitchens. They're nice sized and very, very clean. They had a nice dining room, a library, and other amenities. The staff during the tour was very nice, very accommodating, very friendly, and very professional. They had a swimming pool and all the things that you would expect.

We were impressed with Harbor Place at Cottesmore. It was just beautiful and they had many common rooms that people could use. I've never seen a place quite like that. They only had one vacancy at that time which was a studio and it was empty, but it was good. The size was just enough. It's just one room, basically, and that would be where your bed is and where you might have a little sitting area and then a little sink, fridge, microwave area, and then the bathroom. Their dining area was very nice too. As I walked in, it felt very warm and inviting. It's decorated very nicely and clean. They have an indoor swimming pool, which I've never seen before at an assisted living facility and I think they're the only ones that have that. They also got a jacuzzi, exercise room, billiards room, and other activity rooms, so they have a lot of things going on.

Harbor Place at Cottesmore is very modern and nice. The person who assisted me there was very friendly. The dining area is big and they play Bingo and have a swimming pool.

In 2013, my mother was denied water when thirsty. Aides blamed her for bed-wetting. Wound up in coma at hospital, with bedsores. Wondering why this place still displays 5 stars....should have lost one.

We visited the independent-living side of Harbor Place at Cottesmore, but there were other apartments there that had assisted living. We didn’t like it quite as well. It’s a smaller campus. It’s fairly limited in terms of one’s ability to walk around. There wasn’t a lot of variety outside of the building itself. When you first drive up to the building, you drive by large electrical wires up on very high electrical transmission lines, and it seems like the place is right underneath them almost, not a particularly attractive look upon an external standpoint. Inside, the apartments were average in size. They did offer a good listing of activities. We also thought that it was a little more out of the way, but it looked very clean and very well-maintained.

We have put money down at Harbor Place at Cottesmore to hold a space and move when we are ready. We like that it's very clean, bright, and cheery. The staff is very responsive to the residents there. It’s just a happy place.

My mother has been a resident for nearly a year. When I read the only other review for this facility, I was compelled to provide my comments. Those other comments are so off base. To make such comments based on one visit is totally unrepresentative of the facility. That reviewer must work for a competing facility. When looking for a place for my mother, we looked at a number of facilities and Harbor Place stood above the others. I am totally pleased with my mother's living arrangements and the care she receives. I have spoken with other families with parents or relatives staying at the facility and they feel the same. This is an exceptionally facility and one that I would hope that my children pick for me when the time comes.

What I liked best about Harbor Place at Cottesmore was the services they provided. They had a great set of activities not just bingo but other things about balance and health that would help a senior. It was a bigger place and it had more amenities. They had a pool. However, it was not as convenient to where I worked and lived. Also, it was quite too big for my dad but they were awesome.

When we arrived, at was confusing which door or driveway we should be entering. My mother and I went thru a side door without security, no one at the desk, just a sign with an arrow to "check in at East desk". We walked to the next nurses station only to be directed further down a long hallway past a few wandering residents (one man was trying to open a tray of food on a cart, another resident was pulling herself along in her wheel chair). I noticed the tears in my mom's eyes- I promised she would never have to stay in a place like this if I had it in my power to prevent it, she thanked me. The nurses and housekeepers are friendly and patient yet overworked and understaffed. The place does not smell clean and the cafeterias are not inviting.
