I moved into Highland Cove. They are monitoring us for safety, they provide 3 meals a day, and they do the housekeeping. There's a repairman that comes around when he's called. I'm in a 1-bedroom apartment with a very small kitchen, a living room, and a bath. I don't need more because all my meals are provided. You go to a lunch room for your meals, they are not provided to your apartment. The food is very good, and they adapt meals to your personal preference and need. The caregivers, kitchen staff, and office staff are just very caring people. There's a very peaceful atmosphere here. There is a wide variety of activities here - anywhere from eating out to games to sing-alongs to reading rooms and libraries. After having my family check out several facilities in Salt Lake County, I would say their price is comparative.

I toured Highland Cove. They had a gazebo and a lot of walking paths, so there was a lot of nature there. My sister-in-law was looking for something with nature. The staff who toured me was very personable, very enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. I looked at a room, which was in the independent living facility. It was a very large 2-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a large walk-in closet. The rooms were very roomy. I saw the menu, and they gave me a calendar of activities. They have a lot of activities every day. They have a lot of little clubs that the seniors have formed. This apartment has a large balcony with a storage room attached to it. They have an exercise room, an activity room, a large courtyard, a salon, and a library. They have the emergency cords in in the rooms. It has everything my sister-in-law was looking for.

My mom is in Highland Cove Retirement. They're very friendly, and the apartments have everything she needs, including a washer and dryer. I've tried the food there and I can say that it's just fine, not excellent. She has different things to choose from if she doesn't like what they have. The staff is very nice, very helpful, pleasant, and welcoming. They always make sure she's comfortable. The communication is great, it's the most communication we've had with any of them.

The personnel at Highland Cove were superb. Everyone greeted you with such cordiality. We met the tour director, the manager, and the sales director, and everyone was so sociable. It was on a 14-acre lot so there was a lot of space around. They had outdoor balconies and a large gazebo outside where they had their community activities. They have several buildings and you have to walk to the main dining hall. So, if you weren't in one of the three buildings that had the main dining hall, you had quite a long walk. They're extremely wonderful people. They called me the day before we were going for the tour. Then another one after to see how we liked the tour, and two days later, they made a follow-up. The food was very good. The hallways were just too narrow for two wheelchairs to pass comfortably in the hall and going in and out of the elevator was small.

I went to Highland Cove. The independent living facility was wonderful and beautiful. It had great activities and a beautiful outdoor walking area. The room in the assisted living was especially small. It was basically a hospital room, which was not good for people that just needed a little extra care, and it was just depressing. You could fit a twin bed and a TV if you're lucky. The independent living was extraordinary, but my mother needed assisted living. I only met the salesperson and he seemed wonderful and very kind. All of the residents knew his name. They were very familiar. He's obviously attentive and kind. The menu looked wonderful with a good variety and good nutrition. The independent living rooms were exceptional and beautiful. They've got beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, and a spacious and wonderful activity area. The facility was very clean and beautiful.

We are choosing Highland Cove because it's a good fit between us and the people there. My wife and I toured their independent living and we liked all the people there, the services, and the facilities. The staff is very helpful doing everything they can do. The facility is well maintained, it has beautiful grounds, it's 14 acres, and the landscaping is great. Their food is better than in any place I have eaten.

Highland Cove was very big; I actually got lost. They're on acres of property with walking paths, gazebos, and a stream. It was a very pretty set-up, but it seemed to be an older community. The girl who I talked to was good. I would give the activities an excellent rating because they treated it more like a community-wide thing, like a big barbecue and music. There's more of a community feeling, and that's what I like the best about it.

Highland Cove Retirement was a very nice community. I would rate them very highly. The people were very helpful and informative and the facilities were very nice. They're clean and orderly and had a very nice environment. They had a lot of activities for the residents like an exercise class, and they would take you to doctors' appointments or grocery shopping. The food was delicious.

Highland Cove was a very beautiful facility. Socially, I thought it would probably be above where my mother-in-law would be comfortable. Everybody there was very nice. She would have to travel to get to things like the dining room or the room where they had church. They took the residents on outings. They took them to doctor's appointments. The chef came out and talked to us. They seemed very accommodating about the meals. The food was excellent. The grounds were beautiful. It was just like a park. She could afford the room. However, they had a weird set-up with the bathroom where it wasn't just right by the bedroom. She would have to come out and walk right around this little half wall to get to the bathroom. The called it a studio apartment, and it was nicer than the other studio apartments.

Mom has been at Highland Cove for 2 months now, and it is a very good place. I love it. She's very well taken care of. The staff is very nice, kind, and professional. Mom's studio room is nice and spacious. Mom likes the food, and she enjoys the companionship with the other residents. Mom mentioned that she likes the activities there.

I visited this facility on two separate occasions, specifically to see a resident who lived there. My first impression was how filthy and dirty the lobby or common area was. Carpet was disgusting, doubt if it has been cleaned in years. The furniture was covered with spots and stains. And there was an odor that was not at all pleasant. I saw on the website that they won some award back in 2008, well it is 2017. Perhaps it is time for some renovations to be done. I am surprised the health department would not demand it. I would never put my loved one in a place where the first thing I experienced was filth and dirt.

Highland cove was spread out. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. It seemed to be well-staffed. The rooms were very nice, but quite small, and the maintenance was very good. We’re familiar with the location.

I really liked Highland Cove Retirement Salt Lake. The food was excellent. They had a good menu. Their activities were really good. They had trips to different places around Salt Lake, and they took us out to lunch. They also brought in good entertainment. The apartments were nice. The staff was terrific. My apartment had two bedrooms. It had a laundry facility, a full kitchen, and a fireplace in the living room.

Highland Cove was recommended to me, and the tour was very positive; they were very friendly and open. I talked to other community members that have family members there, and they really like it. My parents aren’t there yet, but after they are there, I imagine I would like it too. I liked the fact that it had a washer and dryer in each room and a kitchen in the independent living with a stove. It was clean and well-kept.

I now live in the assisted living part of Highland Cove, but I have lived in the independent before. It's clean, and it is probably the most well-kept facility of this kind in the State of Utah. In fact, we win an award every year. The staff is wonderful. We are spoiled rotten. I have just one room, like a studio apartment. It has room for my bed, a desk, couple of chairs, TV, and small counter space where I put my coffee pot and toaster. It also has a microwave, refrigerator, large closet, and bathroom with shower. Not a lot of storage space because you don't need much to move here. It seems small when you first move in, but you get used to it very quickly. We have exercise classes, walking classes, games, and sing-alongs. The food is fantastic, and the dining area is large enough to support the residents. The staff takes care of all our needs during meals. It's clean, service is fast, friendly, and they pamper us a lot. I couldn't ask for anything more. They usually have a waiting list because they are filled most of the time.

Highland Cove is a wonderful care facility for those who can no longer provide car for themselves. They have wonderful medical personal who treat patience with respect and dignity. My grandmother has been living there for about a year now and I have been impressed by the level of care she has received. The staff try to engage her in as many stimulating activites as they can so that she can feel good about herself. The staff always make sure that she takes her medication on time and the do it in a respectful manner. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. The patience/residence of Highland Cove feel like the are apart of a community. I see many loved ones coming to visit with family members that they can no longer take care of on their own. It is definetly a place where one feels a sense of community.

My wife passed away in this place. This place is more of a home; the surrounding area is very clean, there's a patio overlooking a green lawn and there are many pine tree everywhere. My room is very large. There's also a spacious living room in there plus a washer and a dryer. The place where I eat is very nice as well and I like the food. The staff is very good. They come once a week to vacuum my room, change my sheets and map out the bathroom. In addition, they take me to my doctor and to the market. Some activities in this facility include games like bingo, bowling, watching TV and holding celebrations like a Christmas party. I like this place; it's got all the things I need. I only wish it was closer to where my kids reside.

Highland Cove, a senior living community in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers all the standard services of a senior living community, but it goes beyond to ensure comfort and the highest quality of life for its residents. My grandmother was a resident at Highland Cove for a couple of years, and when I visited her there, she seemed to truly enjoy her surroundings. The number of activities and available amenities sets Highland Cove apart from other senior living centers. At Highland Cover, there are assisted living and independent living options. My grandmother started off in an independent living apartment, which included a full kitchen and a private balcony. Later, she moved to an assisted living room, but it too was designed for comfort inside and out, with services such as housekeeping, linen and laundry, medication, and meals. If your loved one is physically able, the surrounding outdoors is filled with gardens and serene walking paths. I would highly recommend Highland Cove as a place where you can be confident your loved one is safe, secure, and happy.

The best part of this facility is the community interaction with the residents. I've been at the facility on a Halloween night when the children of the neighborhood went trick-or-treating at Highland Cove. The residents were very eager to pass out candy and talk with the children. Many have grandchildren and take this opportunity to be grandparents to the neighborhood children. Often their own grandchildren come to visit for the Halloween festivities and they love showing them off to their fellow residents. This facilities staff goes to extraordinary measures to make sure that the community is involved with the retirement community in this facility. The fall festivities are only a few examples of the activities that the staff plan.
