I love this facility. I looked at several before I found it and considered it a great blessing. Because it is small residents are more able to recognize the staff than in much larger facilities. Residents can not get lost in the shuffle. Weekly musical entertainment is provided. A variety of community volunteers bring opportunities from games to crafts, afternoon teas and socials. Visitors are encouraged and welcome. Currently there is a bird on premise and occasionally the manager will bring in one of her pets for visit. Children are also welcome and enjoyed by the residents and staff alike. The grounds are lovely and well kept as is the home. The views from the house include mature trees, quail, families of deer lured by neighboring vegetable gardens, entertaining squirrels, and a variety of neighborhood birds. Every July 4th a parade runs down Evergreen Ave. Any resident that wants to is brought out to sit at the curb often with friends and family where a great time is had by all paraders and attendees alike! If a resident is capable there is even restaurants, dentist, library, convenience store and the new Millcreek Senior Center within walking distance. Considering all the amenities and concerned caring staff this place is probably the most affordable in the county if not the state. The only challenge I can see is it only has 10 beds, but wait that is also what makes it so desirable! Loving caring place for both you and your loved one.

The area is nice and quiet. It's set right by the mountains and it has that clean, mountain air feel to it. The facility is set back from the road, with a lot of trees, a lawn, and a backyard. However, this facility isn't for all types. It's more low key and much smaller than other facilities. I know a resident here who can get anxious among noise and groups of people, so this facility is perfect for her. She revels in the peace and quiet and homey feel of the facility, which is actually a very regular looking house. The neighborhood is well-established and has older homes as well, which again, works for her. For my friend it is a good match because she's not looking for an active social life and a lot of activities, however it does take a certain retiring personality to fit into this facility. It's good for some maybe not for others.
