My wife spent several months in the skilled nursing unit here, receiving physical and occupational therapy throughout her stay. We found the staff to be friendly and competent, and pretty stable, with mostly the same folks there throughout the stay. I liked that that facility was small enough so that everyone cared about you. We had some small issues with the bed when we first arrived and it was corrected within 24 hours and Social worker and others were very helpful in arranging transport to outside doctor appointments. PT and OT were pretty positive experiences with the staff focused on getting you better. Food was generally average, with about once a week an exceptional meal, and the occasional forgettable one.

My mother has been a resident for 1 and 1/2 years. The staff here are very disrespectful. If you question anything they become rude and hateful. Many times my mom has laid in a dirty and soaked diaper for several hours. The room is small and cramped on her side only. No room for a visitor chair. Her tray for food is broken and won't sit even. She is forced to sit in her wheelchair all day and not allowed in her room. She is parked up at the nurses station for hours. If she wants to lay down for awhile or get her diaper changed, they tell her she must stay in bed the rest of the day. Very hard to contact anyone with an issue. Nobody knows anything. We are very disappointed at the care she receives here.

My mom was a resident of Brighton Senior Living of Tomball. She went in for one thing, and they were tending to all of our health care concerns. Because of Covid, there was a lot of restrictions; therefore, we had limited interaction with her. My mom had a wound on her backside, and ultimately, it got worse because they were not caring for it the way that they should. As a result, she ended up having surgery and having to be hospitalized and major surgery. That is what got her pulled away from there that they did not take care of her properly. They're just there for a paycheck; they really don't care about the residents. She wouldn't eat their food. I had to take food a lot. It was during the Covid time, so nothing was going on. She was just in bed all the time. I interacted with one of the personnel, which happened to have been the director of nursing. She's only one person. Her team is not good, but the facility was clean. I think that she honestly tries her best; but because she is only one person, she can't do it all.

I visited Grace Care Center At Northpointe and it was very good. It was very clean, and the people were very friendly. The cafeteria was a very nice place. The staff members were very capable and very friendly. The room was a two-person room, and everything was neat and orderly.

For nearly five years, my father was a resident of Grace Care Center at Northpointe, and from the very first day, he was always treated with the utmost respect, love, care, and compassion from the entire staff. Naturally there were times of stress and periodically, conflicts would occur, however, the staff was always willing to work through these issues with the family, via effective communication and the implementation of adequate measures that resolved the issue. The nursing staff and CNA's that tended to my father on a daily basis were extraordinary and always treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved. There were always activities planned during the day for all residents, and the staff definitely encouraged participation and inclusion. My father's favorite activity was attending the Sunday morning church service lead by The Reverend Roger D. These services provided hope and inspiration for not only the residents, but to their family members as well. And during his final days while on Hospice, the administration and staff continued their loving care for him, ensured he was comfortable and in no pain, and provided continuous support to the family. Grace Care Center at Northpointe is a first class facility and our family is greatly indebted to everyone who had a vital role in caring for my father.

I have a sister in Grace Care Home. All the staff from the Administrative to cleaning crew are very friendly, warm , courteous and understanding. Each one in thier own role bring comfort to families with their patience and understanding . From the beginning, they treat us with respect, assurance and politeness. Liz Groves made me feel blessed . Her action confirmed in me that their is the Mighty one above looking out for those in need. The nurses are always ready to listen to any concerns and treat everyone from residents to vistors with full attention. The staff makes you feel like family. I have visited other nursing homes, but this one top them all. Having my sister in this home makes us feel very blessed. With the care and attention the staff gives it is the most blessed home elders or people in any need of care can ever be. I pray there be more nursing care homes like this in this world. It is the best care one can receive while they are here with us. Smiles, patience, understanding, caring , clean ,kindness , value and warmth are given by all the staff in this home. They find a way to have the co-operation of the residents to get things done for them to keep them clean , happy and healthy. There are times when I give up and they ;lift me up with positive assurance. I pray they continue to have the strength and faith to continue this blessed service. Thanks to all at Grace Care and our hearfelt graitude to you all. Eileen & Charlie R

We found this to be an excellent facility for skilled nursing care. There were a couple of minor issues, but they were easily resolved. The staff treated us like family and were so sweet to our mother. Everyone hugged her and joked with her. We were always complimented on what nice people our family is. We were made to feel like our concerns were important. The physical therapy group did a fabulous job getting our 89 year old mom to where she was before she got sick. She was able to return home which we weren’t sure was going to happen. We highly recommend Grace Care Center at Northpointe! My mom was in a private room so it was very spacious. There’s bingo 4 afternoons and Happy Hour daily. Popcorn, ice cream, something to drink. Routinely a group of students will come by to sing or visit. There’s opportunity for nail and hair care. There’s lots of activities. Mom could eat in her room or the dining hall. She could always order a salad or potato instead of the planned meal.

I don't like Grace Care Center At Northpointe, and my wife doesn't either. The place is mediocre and pretty new place, but it's not up to par. The staff is friendly but not excellent. My wife says it's good, but she needs to take it in the room and sometimes its cold. The community is well-kept and the lobby and halls are clean.

What a terrible place. Please don't put your loved ones there. My father was there less than 12 hours and he was left unattened and he went unconscious and fell out of his wheel chair and gashed his head. He was rushed to the ER. When they called us about what happened to my father not once mentioned the gash on his head.

Unfortunately my Mother spent her last days at Grace Care, supposedly for rehab after hip surgery. She was given the wrong medication twice and the nurses were very slow to respond to her calls for help. I filed a complaint with the state and although they substantiated my complaints the facility was not cited for any of the deficiencies. Finding a facility for the elderly that will accept medicare is not easy. It has now been 2 years, but I will always regret subjecting my Mother to this facility.

This is THE place to take your loved one! IF you want to punish them! The rehab dept was awesone, but the facility sucks, starting with management! The owner's wife is the director and this place should be shut down. The doors are locked at night - supposedly for safety. You need a code to get in. HOWEVER, if you don't have the code, no problem, it's POSTED in a frame right at the door so you can see it from OUTSIDE the building! How safe is that? IDIOTS run this place

Grace Care Center at Northpointe was really beautiful. I had gone there to do my rehabilitation because I had a knee replacement. It looked like a resort inside. The floors were so shiny. They had activities going on every Friday for the older residents. The area where they ate looked like a dining area in a restaurant. It was very luxurious. The outside had palm trees and an old water fountain. Where you wash your clothes, it looks like a big laundromat. It’s 10 minutes from my house. I went there and took the tour, and it looked better than it did online.

My mother had fallen, and she is now at Grace Care Center for rehab. She has been there a week and a half, and I have been pleased with it. It’s very nice; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and it seems like they care. They have a party staff; in fact, the staff has called me for a couple of times if her medications changed. They are keeping the families well-informed.

My 84 yr. old Dad was in Grace for a couple of weeks after leaving the hospital after a serious fall. We toured a lot of facilities in the area and this one stood out with the beautiful decor, music playing in the halls and friendly staff. During his stay he was treated very kindly by nurses and aides. He also received excellent PT and OT rehab while he was there. His only complaint was about the food, which wasn't very tasty.

I am very happy with the care my mother received here. She broke her hip and had surgery at Tomball regional Hospital and got infected. We were a little nervous going to a place like this but when I went by to look and talk to staff I was impressed. Mom was there for about 6 weeks and the entire experience was great! Mom is home and doing great. Someone even called to check if she had gotten her medications from the pharmacy and made her follow up dr appointment. I am not sure what happened with the other reviewer but I spoke to staff, residents, and other people whos parents were there and I got good feed back. If not my mother would not have been there! I am leaving this review because the cnas and nurses work so hard and get little acknowledgement. I hope they enjoy the edible arrangements. Thank you Grace Care

Run! Run! Run! Do not leave your family member here!!! We had to remove my father from this facility in the middle of the night due to the treatment he was receiving here. If it was possible to leave negative stars I would have done so!! First of all, my Dad fell one night at about 3am. No one called us until after 7am. They stated that he did not have any injuries but when we arrived he had a mark on his head that covered approximately 33% of the forehead itself. Then he fell 2 times the next night. This time we did not receive a phone call until 11am the next day. He was taken to the hospital by my Mother after this happened for an exam to ensure that everything was all right. It was at the hospital where other injuries were discovered on his knee and some other ones on his head in another location. The final straw came when he had an accident due to diarrhea and was ridiculed by the attendant who threw baby wipes at him and told him that he better get that cleaned up. She then accused him of digging crap out of his ass and putting it on the bed. NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THAT...NOT EVER!!! Needless to say he will never return to this place again!

My grandpa was at Grace Care and we could not have been happier with the care he received there. The staff was very attentive to his needs. There always seems to be a bond with the staff. They seemed to take his needs personally. We were referred to Grace Care my a few members of our church and could not be more satisfied with the recommendation.

My father-n-law recently passed away at Grace. He resided there for about 9 months, but lived in neighborhood. We want to thank all of the staff that work there. When touring the area( I toured several) this is by far the best place in Northwest Houston. They were caring, environment is always clean, and very helpful. We had hospice as well. There is not any perfect place. I know that they have stars in Heaven for what they do and have to deal with daily. If we had a concern they addressed it immediately. This was a very hard decision for our family, but I know in my heart we made the right choice. We had peace of mind he was cared for. Thank you Grace staff, Pastor Dewitt , and Pastor Nash for what you do. Keep it up. God Bless you all.

We went twice a day and often found my mother in law upset at getting no help after ringing her bell. One night they even "forgot" to bring her a food tray. She was having trouble breathing and sleeping and they told her she needed to relax. We even asked for a chest xray and were told she was anxious. Food is not a healthy diet for elderly. After coming home, we had her in the hospital ER within 6 hours for breathing trouble and found out she had congestive heart failure and gained 10 pounds in fluid at Grace Center in 4 weeks which they also didn't seem concerned about. I would never recommend the center. They have not even called to follow up on her!

Over the past 5 years my father has had health complications and has been hospitalized and transitioned into a number of facilities. Grace Care Center is by far the worst skilled nursing facility he has ever been in and I have ever seen. My father is mentally very stable, and I was at the facility daily--at times more than once. The list of things we experienced and witnessed are too many to include. The administration appears very on top of things in the beginning --however, when you have questions, or problems- no one knows anything and they take no accountability for their staff. My father was given an iv antibiotic (the reason he was there) and the nurse charted the wrong medication and the wrong time given. They had to dig through the trash to find the label to decipher which med he was actually given and then would have given the next dose (too soon to the last) had I not called his doctor and get lab work requested if they were giving it that soon. The nurse then decided to wait appropriate amount of time between doses for that medication. The medication being given can cause damage if the concentration is too high in blood. When I met with head of nursing and admissions on this--they basically threw the nurse under the bus and took no responsibility for the error. They had no answers. I honestly didn't get the feeling that they thought it was a big deal. His doctor was in complete disbelief about the error AND their response. My father was able to take a shower ONE time the entire time he was there (8 days). He requested numerous times for days and they kept putting him off. If wheeling yourself to the desk begging for a shower gets you ONE in a week--I'm not sure what happens to the poor people that cannot ask and are bound to their bed. The meals served are pathetic and not even well balanced and healthy. I witnessed numerous people complaining through the week about the lack of care they were getting for their family member. I encourage anyone considering this facility to go and walk through the halls, spend time there--look at the people, how they are cared for, what the employees are doing, look at the food--do not just go off of the people that talk to you that get you in there or the pretty decor. Since I have left, I have heard of 3 other people with huge complaints about this facility and I'm sure there are many more. The doctor that calls on the people there was great (he is there weekly and his PA there more often)--and there were 2 good nurses and 1 good physical therapist in those 8 days. The other 95% of the interaction that he (and I) had with the employees was beyond disappointing. Know your rights and know that you have choices when being transitioned into skilled nursing facilities. Do not be fooled by administration--there is no accountability or supervision of anything going on in this building. Charting the wrong medication and time given is a mistake that could kill a person. Had I not been there to question it, they would have given the next dose to him too soon and it could have been toxic to him. Places like this need to be held accountable for the lack of care they are giving as they make money off of medicare!

The physical and occupational therapy people are wonderful and worked wonders. Nurses were spread thin and too rushed to provide the level of help needed, but they tried. The administration made promises that were not kept and communication between them was non-existent; everyone just pointed to someone else. A "complimentary" haircut was charged instead. After signing forms and being promised they would test for dementia, it never happened and no one would answer any questions regarding it. At checkout, some clothes were never returned. The front desk acted like everything was an imposition. After being promised a private room and told one was never available, a new admission was put right into one because she had some pull. Incontintence for the first time was not addressed and she was told to just pee in her diaper. The brightest star in the place was the head of maintenance who went out of his way to help.

If minus stars were available I would click them. Worst nursing home/rehab center I've ever seen, and with elderly family I've seen many. A few RNs are quite nice and caring, however you see very little of them. The staff that comes to check when you've rang the button...well, that is when they so show up, appear irritated that you've asked for help for your elderly relative. Wailing elderly begging for help go ignored. Your family member will too. Food is gross most meals and the food staff is down right rude. The Director comes off as impressive, as does the Head Nurse, but staff communication is so poor that it turns out to be empty promises and an excellent sell job, If you love your family member, want them in a caring, watchful home, this isn't it!

I couldn't have been more pleased with the level of care from the nurses and staff. They made everything effortless and comfortable for the short stay of my mother-in-law. Everyone was polite and took the time to stop what they were doing to help or answer a question. Everyone was very sympathetic and even saddened with us when the moment came.

This is a terrible place! I wouldn't let my dog stay here. Both staff and administration are horrific! Nothing "caring" or "graceful" about them. Moving my mom out of here was the best decision we made!

We picked Grace Care because it was right up the street from where I live and where my son lives. We found that they were very, very nice. The staff was excellent, and my ex-husband had very nice care there. They commuted him back and forth to the doctors if we couldn't make it, which was very nice of them. Actually, he was discharged from there when he went into a hospital, and then they took him back. They helped me with all of my stuff and also set me up with a guardian, which are the in-home therapy people that are coming to take care of him. We were very happy with them. The place was very clean, and the staff seemed to know everybody by name. I think their physical therapy room should have a little more equipment in it. They did have quite a few physical therapists, but I thought I would see the walking treadmill and stuff, but I didn't. But other than that, everything else was fine.

We toured Grace Care Center. The grounds were fine. The facility was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. However, it was expensive. I would recommend it to others, if they could afford it.

My mom has been in this facility for 3 weeks for rehab. Knowing what I know now I would not even trust my dog to be cared for properly here. No one, including the administrator, has a clue what is going on with the patients. My mom can use the rest room with some assistance. On numerous occasions she has been told to "go to the bathroom in her pants, and they will change her later". My mother was so upset. They are stripping the patients of their dignity. We talked to several "people in charge about my Mom's care. They agreed to do certain things like assist her in the bathroom, to give her meds a certain way, but when we would show up the next day someone else was on duty and she was being told to go to the bathroom in her pants again. There is NO COMMUNICATION among the staff. Taking 30 plus minutes to come into a patient's room after they ring the bell is unacceptable!!!!!!! They even lost my Mom's clothes. My siblings visit my Mom twice a day to make sure she is being cared for. I feel sorry for the people who have no one checking to make sure they are being cared for properly. I would NEVER put a loved one in this facility again .

If your loved one can speak, walk, feed themselves, they might make it, if not they won't because they are not a facility that handles high maintence residents. Don't be fooled by the chandliers. It's all about money. You have to visit everyday to make sure they are eating/bathing/etc....they will not.
