My sister has been a resident of Discovery Village at Dominion for at least five years now. It's an independent living and she lived there with her husband, and he passed away in February. I think they've been very satisfied there, although it's an independent living, so they did not participate in the meals or any of the activities or anything. They were happy there, and it's a very nice place, but they didn't participate in any of the activities. I know they have a library. Also, as you walk in, they have a courtyard and a dog park, and that's the one amenity that they took advantage of because they have a dog. Their apartment is lovely. It is very nice, but it is all their own furniture. They have lovely furniture. It is spacious and it is lovely. I'm moving her from the very large two-bedroom that they have to a one-bedroom, but I have never seen one. They provide meals but I've never tried nor has my sister ever tried the meals. Value for money is about an average.

I toured the independent living at Discovery Village At Dominion, but they also have a building that is an assisted living. There were three different buildings, and the big building was independent. They had all kinds of things. Everything is great, which is why I went there. They have 10 times more amenities than other places. They have everything. They go out to dinner every week; whoever wants to, you sign up. They have a happy hour once a week. Every holiday, they have some deal, and sometimes they just do potluck dinner, and everybody brings something. The staff in charge of them was fantastic. You can have food. Breakfast is included, but if you want to include all meals, you can do that. There are a lot of options there. They're doing a lot of updating.

My parents are living in Discovery Village At Dominion and it's working out well. The people that work there are very friendly, very professional. They do a nice job. They have a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment and it's very, very comfortable. They have a nice and large walk-in closet. It is very spacious with plenty of room for storage. It's a very nice floor plan. It's just two complete full bedrooms with a walk-in closet and two full baths, granite countertops, new refrigerator, stove, everything is very nice. They have nice amenities. They pretty much have everything. They have a beauty salon, a gym, an activity center, and a swimming pool. They have happy hour, and a little place where you can meet; and they have a theater. It's got it all. Their activities include bridge, hand, and foot. They have different outings like going out to restaurants, they go out to casinos, and they have transportation that takes you to the grocery store. So, lots of things going on.

My mom has been in Discovery Village At Dominion for three years now. It's really a good place. The staff is very helpful, and the food is good. She's in a nice 2-bedroom apartment, and they have good activities. My only real complaint is they don't provide a lot of transportation. Their location is sorta out of VIA Trans and out of the ART van. The facility is pretty. The staff is very caring and very helpful. They have a gym and a salon. They have a pool in the independent living, not in the assisted living.

Assisted Living: The main concerns are the level of staffing for the number of residents. The company is operating on the minimum number of care staff that the state requires. However the residents are paying for exemplary care. The company seems to be more concerned about their budget than the residents that pay their bills. 3 Management changes in 2 years. The facilities are very nice, fairly new and have very good maintenance. Food service is adequite but lacking from the "Sensations Dining" claims. Rooms are adequate size with minimal kitchen equipment. Activities are organized and staffed with daily movies, card games puzzles, board games, crafts and more. Amenities include an exercise room with various equipment, movie theater with large TV screen and comfy chairs and a chapel. To sum it up, everything looks pretty and shiny until you move in and see the personal care side for yourself.

My mother lives in Discovery Village at Dominion. It's beautiful, it's like a five-star hotel, and she has a very nice apartment. I think they struggle with not having enough caregivers, but the ones I interact with are really great. However, it takes a long time to respond to her call. The dining area is beautiful, and the food is less than marginal. Before the lockdown they would have vocalists or musicians come in, they would have bingo, play games, and go on outings. It's quite satisfactory.

Discovery Village at Dominion was up on a hill with easy access to the freeway, and there's lots of shopping in the area. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, and the activity director was exceptional. They had an apartment building as well as little cottages, which were very nice and spacious. It's a very clean facility. They had outings, go out to dinner once a week, exercise classes, and educational programs. They had a full activities calendar, and the food was very good. There were trees, and there's a dog park there.

My Mother lived there from July of 2018, fell at the facility in December, and was in rehab until the second week of March. We moved her back into what they told me would be the highest level of care, with a room next to the nurses station. I was told this was the best room due to the location next to a nurse. I later found out there’s only one nurse on staff for the entire facility, and that the station was never manned. Staff would walk by her room to check and see if she was ok, but I would still come by several times a week to make sure she was being taken care of, to visit with her, etc. Unfortunately my Mother passed away from a heart attack on April 9th, and I regret moving her back here. This facility has been sold to new corporate offices, and getting help closing out her account has been a nightmare. It’s now June 6th, and the corporate office doesn’t have information on my Mother, so I am still in limbo with no end in sight. It’s a “pretty” place on the outside, but dealing with the directors and staff here has been horrible. I am still heartbroken with grief and guilt, and simply want to advise people looking for care to please take this into consideration - if your loved one is unable to care for themselves, and have memory care issues, do careful research. If I could turn back the clock I would have kept her in my home and hired home health care.

My parents were in the Assisted Living portion of the facility for about 3 months. My mother, who has Alzheimer's became very scared and agitated. My father began to decline physically and my sister had to MOVE in with them since even with increased level of care we were scared to leave them alone. Staffing over the holidays was even less than inadequate. I came to give my sister time to go home and were met by staff that were upset my sister was longer there TO DO THIER JOB. Last straw came, after MANY BROKEN STRAWS, was when my father went into respiratory failure and, thankfully, MY SISTER was there to call EMTs....when she pressed the button for assistance once again, like so many times before, NO ONE CAME...until the EMTs came in and they figured out who they had been called for! My father passed away before we could get them moved out but my mother is now out, at home WITH MY SISTER, and once again happy and thriving. MY FAMILY DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY FOR ANY TYPE OF CARE THAT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER MIGHT NEED.

Isle at Watercrest Dominion was very nice place. The people were very nice. The place seemed very well kept. It was very convenient too; it would have been great. It was really a nice place. They have independent living, then they go down to assisted living, and then they have memory care. It has everything there. The rooms were a good size. They were bedrooms. We're not talking about apartments or studio type units, but they have a bathroom between them, and they were big enough to include a small sitting area. The residents have an area where they can do crafts. I didn't really see a whole lot of interaction.

I visited Isle at Watercrest Dominion. They have a really nice facility, they are very active, and they have lots of activities that I could see my family members being interested in. They have lots of amenities that she would find useful; the staff was super helpful. I would actually consider putting other family members there. They keep their residents very active, and there are lots of interesting things to do there. I was able to check their menu, and there was lots of good food on their menu.

My parents have moved into Watercrest at Dominion. It is new. The finishes and the layout are contemporary. The place itself has the feel of an upscale hotel; it has a nice aroma. They have very wide hallways. My parents are the first occupants of their apartment. It is very nice, very clean, very upscale, very modern, and very spacious with high ceilings and very open floorplan. They have brand-new appliances too. Watercrest at Dominion has an indoor swimming pool with regular water exercise classes, and an exercise room with aerobic equipments and small weights. There are regular outings scheduled to take any residents who are interested to museums, to stores, to the medical center, to theaters, and to plays. Once a week, they offer outings to a restaurant for dinner. The dining room is nice, but only one meal a day is offered at lunchtime. They do have continental breakfast everyday, but it is so trivial that my parents have chosen not to even bother to walk down there. They just do breakfast in their apartment instead.

I went to Isle at Watercrest Dominion, and it's very nice. The staff was very nice, she took both of us to the facility, but it's so away from home, about 20 miles away, and I would have to go on a major freeway. I saw the dining area, and they have a nice place for people to walk, so they can feel more at home, not enclosed in a room.

Isle at Watercrest Dominion was a very large complex. They have memory care, nursing home, and assisted living all in the same area. I was very impressed with them. It was all very well taken care of. They have trees and flowers all around. Everything was well-manicured. The buildings were nice. I talked to the director and another woman and they were very nice. The lobby was very clean. The staff was very helpful and very friendly.

I am moving to Watercrest at Dominion next month. The information they sent me was what I was looking for. My sons have visited and they like it too. They serve three meals a day and they have every activity under the sun. The facility is wonderful.

We liked Watercrest at Dominion's location. I preferred if it had three meals a day, but it had only two meals a day and no meals on the weekend. My kids said it would work for them. They had activities like cards and bingo a couple of times a week. They had cars that would take you to the doctors. They had a bus that would take you two times a week to the mall, the bank and to the different things that you needed to go, and they would take you back for lunch. The food was excellent. They had a library, a pool, a salon, and a massage room. They had their massage therapist.

Watercrest at The Dominion was a very complete place. It had all the different areas where one can go in from assisted to nursing home. They have nurses there in their nursing home 24/7, but that is priced higher. The place is very nice. I like the fact that you can get the help that you needed.

Watercrest at Dominion was brand new and really modern. There were exercises, water aerobics, and crafts. They served breakfast, but then you have to buy a meal plan every month, which was a little odd, for lunch and dinner. I thought the price was wonderful. They had a barber shop, a beauty shop, an outdoor heated pool, game rooms, TV rooms, computer rooms, and lots of amenities. They even have a pet park where you can take your pet, which was really nice. The staff was very friendly, nice, very ready to help you, and even do more than what you expected. We had lunch one time, and the food was OK, but the service was quite slow. The residents told me they have to wait quite a while to be served.

My parents selected Watercrest at Dominion. It is a brand-new facility that costs about $1,000 less a month than anywhere else we checked. We are able to get a locked-in rate. We showed it to our parents, and they offered us to stay for lunch which they provided. The food was great. The apartments are much more spacious than anywhere else, and the price can't be beaten.

Watercrest at Dominion was very pretty, but it was too expensive. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful.
