I moved into Patriot Heights. It's a nice, strong community here. It's really a nice campus. What I like about it is that the dining room opens at 7:00 in the morning and closes at 6:00 at night. You go in and order from the menu, and then you have your own washer and dryer. The units are furnished. They have lots of activities. They have trips to several places a couple of times a week. They have an activities director. I like it here. They have a nice patio. They keep the residents busy here. The staff members are all great. They have a gymnasium.

I toured Patriot Heights. Their cottages were roomier. It's off of the main road, and it's kind of a little community all of its own. There's a lot of trees, and it's a homey atmosphere. I ate in the dining room. The food was not bad, but it didn't compare to the other places. In one of the cottages I looked at, there were some boards out on the patio that looked like they were in pretty bad shape. And so I asked the lady if that was going to be fixed before somebody moved in, and she said probably not because they have limited funds. So I got the impression maybe they're not as well maintained as they should be, but that's my observation of one cottage I saw. I also noticed that the swimming pool was green the day I was there. And I mentioned it to the lady, and she said they had a problem with the pump or something, and they got it fixed. As for the atmosphere, there were people in the lobby roaming around, so it seemed like a fairly busy place.

I'm planning to move into Patriot Heights. They're very informative and very friendly. I just liked being there. I'm looking at a two-bedroom. We were out there for a fiesta party, and the food was very good. The dining area was clean and well put together. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly. I've talked to her a couple of times.

I love Patriot Heights. It's a very, very nice place. You could feel the love when you walked into the building. The only reason why I'm not moving there is it's about a 45-minute drive from my niece if the traffic is bad. It was awesome. It felt like you were stepping back into your own home. Everybody was so nice. The staff was fabulous. I was so impressed with the staff and how friendly everybody was. Even the people who live there were very friendly. They had bingo. They had a lot of activities to keep you busy. The staff was so sweet, so nice and so kind. They had been there for many years and I was impressed by that because when you're able to keep your staff around that long, there's got to be a lot of good stuff going on over there. The apartment that they showed was very nice, very clean, and very well laid out. It had so much more square footage than what I've got (where I'm at currently) and they were cheaper. I would love to live there. They have 24/7 security around the clock.

Patriot Heights has a 24-hour guard station as you enter, so nobody can just zip through. We liked the fact that the meals can be eaten all day in whatever order. So, you don't have to go to lunch at 12 or 11 and then stop at 1 or whatever. They have meals from 7 until 6 in the evening, and you can eat them in your order. So, if you want to have breakfast at 4:00 in the afternoon, that's fine too. They have the same stuff for activities as everybody else. They have in-building activities and then you can sign up for activities to go away. The rooms are spacious. We're getting a two-bedroom and one-and-a-half bath apartment. It has a kitchen and an in-room washer and dryer. It has a little patio that faces the woods. It's more rural. So, you're not on a busy street. People aren't just coming down that road every day to go to work or anything like that. If they're going down that road, that's where they're going because it's at the end of the road. Their employees are there long term. People don't come and go, the same way as the residents do. I was very impressed. You see workers working all the time and the staff was very friendly.

We liked that Patriot Heights had villas and they were separate. They were like little townhouses with garages. The thing I did not like was you needed to go all the way to the main dining room, so it's a matter of walking. I understand some people had golf carts that they used. The staff that we met during the tour was great. There were several amenities available there. They had occupational therapy, physical therapy, a swimming pool, a salon, and a barbershop.

I toured Patriot Heights. The staff was very nice, but the furniture was tired and worn. They needed to do something about the furniture in the big common area. The food looked institutional, and I was not impressed. They had a chapel, and that was all I could remember.

We've chosen Patriot Heights. The first thing that impressed us was the landscaping and the location because even though it's adjacent to the medical center on the west side of San Antonio, it's a little bit of a drive to get back into the actual place that they have. It's a gated community, and there's a guard that's there 24 hours a day and you give him your name, and he takes your temperature. The main building has a huge atrium, very friendly, but it's not so over the top that you feel like you have to put your Sunday clothes on all the time, every time you go in. It felt the manager was very helpful and took us around in a golf cart and showed us the available places. He told us about the facility, first of all, and introduced us to many of the staff that were walking by, and they were very friendly. We looked at the villas, first of all, because we felt that we would rather still be in a house situation rather than apartments. After all, neither one of us had ever lived in an apartment for a very long time. So we were able to pick one that was within our budget. The campus itself was beautiful. Deer are running all over every place. There's an outdoor swimming pool, it's heated, and a very nice cabana type around it. A big grand piano in the main facility, friendly people, and everything is as sanitary as it can get. Most of the help is still wearing a mask and has sanitizers. Everything looks like it's kept up very well, and the accommodations just fit us. We were invited to come back the next morning for a coffee and a meet and greet at 10:00 am. They have happy hours there. Their dining room is open from seven and it closes at six. You can have breakfast any time of day, you can order your food and they'll put it in a to-go bag and you can take it back to your room or your home, and there are no strict dining rules such that breakfast is from 7 to 9, and after that, you don't get any more. Any time of day you can get anything you want to eat. And for people our age, we don't have the appetites that maybe we used to have, that seemed very nice, very accommodating. There were a few things in the villa we're buying that they're going to change. My husband has a little problem walking on carpeting, and this was wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the house, except for the kitchen, so they're going to take that up and lay some kind of flooring in for us. There were a couple of things that they needed to fix, Mr. Jerry saw right away that he was going to have it fixed, and he said that about anything we wanted to do to our villa. I have a collection of mugs that I've collected over the years, and I usually have them on top of our cabinets in the kitchen, but in the cabinets there is a jar right adjacent to the ceiling, so my husband's going to put a shelf around. And Mr. Jerry said that's fine. Anything you want to do, it's your house. So we felt like that was very accommodating. It looked like a college campus that was tidy all the time.

We went and looked at Patriot Heights. It's beautiful. The value for the dollar is the best in San Antonio, from what I've seen. The dining is excellent. The amenities are awesome, and it has a real sense of community. Anybody is going to be best served by going to Patriot Heights of all the communities, in my opinion. The food was delicious. It sits on twenty-four acres. It's quiet and peaceful. It's off the beaten track. For the money, it's competitive with everything. They have a salon, library, chapel, on-site therapy, they have a pool, a workshop, and all sorts of stuff. There are full kitchens in the apartments.

My parents are living in an independent living facility called Patriot Heights in San Antonio. Overall, it's great, and the place is really, really good. The staff is wonderful, and the food is also very good. The activity director is always doing brain games for the residents. During COVID the activities slowed down, of course. I love this place. I would recommend it because of the staff; they are the pillars of the community.

I chose Brookdale Patriot Heights. We went there twice and looked at it at different hours. It had what we were looking for and it had enough space.. The staff member was very accommodating and offered to give us the names of the people that would help us organize things. We felt right at home when we walked in the door. The surroundings were lovely, impeccable, peaceful, and beautiful. All of the employees were working, doing their jobs, were engaged, and everybody was just working around us. That was really impressive.

Brookdale Patriot Heights was very nice. It's a gated community. It has independent and assisted living on the grounds, which makes it very convenient, and it's near a medical center. It's a big complex. It's very active and there were a lot of people engaged in their scheduled activities that day. There were people walking around for exercise, there were people waiting to catch the bus, and there were families coming and going. The staff was friendly, accommodating, toured the whole area, and was very nice. The dining area was huge. They have their meals provided at certain times and they also have food available whenever the residents want it, so it's open all the time.

I liked Brookdale Patriot Heights. It was clean and the people were very cordial. The rooms and the amenities were nice. They have a hair salon, there's Sunday morning worship services, there are special activities periodically, and transportation to the local store or to the drugstore. The staff was very welcoming and they go at a pace that's comfortable for older people. They don't rush you through.

I am a current resident of the community. I've been living here for over four years. I come to almost every scheduled activity that is offered at the community. My family and I have encountered some issues during my stay of four years but staff has addressed everyone promptly, always keeping my family and I informed. No place is perfect but this community is close to perfect. I am happy here and I am glad to call this my home. If you ever have the chance to come by ask for a strawberry milkshake there the best.

It seemed like a nice community. They bring their residents to the theater, and they go on trips. They also do card games, dominos, and art classes. I had lunch there, and it was good.

We had a nice visit. We like the cottage that we went to see. It was very nice. We would be comfortable in the cottage. It was a nice size. The facility has everything we wanted.

I liked the location of the community. The staff was good. Their rooms were good too. We only saw one apartment, but it looked very promising, and it was very adequate.
