Cambridge is a great place. The therapy is excellent. Everyone was warm and friendly. The nurses were wonderful. I had a very nice private room. The facility was clean. The food was good. I'm stronger after all the therapy I received and ready to return home.

My dad spent several weeks in Cambridge in 2019 for rehab and we were quite happy with the care he received. However, my mom spent four days in their facility in October 2023 and it was a disaster. First of all, they should have never taken her because she was having severe anxiety after my dad's death and they didn't have a clue what to do with her. So they sent her to the E.R. twice to get rid of her. They seem to have plenty of staff but most of them were standing around visiting instead of working. The administrator of the facility doesn't have a clue what he's doing. I would bet the receptionist is on some kind of drugs because she could hardy even function. The rooms are small and the furniture is old and dingy. We paid for a little over a month and after getting my mom out after four days, they owe us a considerable amount of money. I called after six weeks to find out why we hadn't received a check and they hadn't even started the reimbursement process. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this facility. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

At one time this would have been a favorable review, not anymore. My Mom was there a few months ago, everything seemed ok. Unfortunately she needed Skilled nursing again, We decided to try Cambridge again. Big, big mistake! My Mom got Covid while she was there this time, I understand it is very contagious. However, Not one person called me from the facility to let me know! I had to find out by her Nurse Practitioner who is not employed by Cambridge. I waited for a call, never got one. When I called, the nurse I spoke to just made excuses! Never apologized for the lack of communication. I never received a call from the Director of Nursing. Now I’m waiting for a call from the Director of nursing on another medical issue! After 4 days of calling still no returned call! I have now left a message for the administrator, pretty sure I will never hear from him! As a daughter of a very sick Mother I feel communications is key. Well, you will not get it here.

I don't know if the place has changed since I was in there but what I saw was pretty disgusting. The food was inedible, the place was dirty and most of the staff (some exceptions) cared not a cent for the people staying there.

We've chosen Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center for my friend, and it depends on their availability when she gets out of the rehab. The lady that we spoke with there was very knowledgeable and very nice and spent time to help us get in. The facility was clean, and the rooms were large. They had a nice rehab room. We didn't talk to many of the staff. They had shared rooms. They had a beauty shop, a movie room, and they had all their activities posted on a bulletin board in really large font.

My husband is brain damaged after 5 strokes and the people at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center just can't handle him the way I think that they should. He needs to have the respect of his last days here on earth. I've seen dirty showers and he's had two UTI's in six weeks time up there. I had to wrap his feet with towels every time I take him to the showers and these towels came out really dirty. I talked to the nurses and it took me three weeks to get them to give him his medicine on time. They don't serve meals on time. They're not a great facility to leave your family member with. They don't see what's happening. What they really need are more people to take care of these old people and check on them a little bit in order for them to survive. I've been hands-on for three years and we put my husband in there so that I can get a break, but I still do all the work for them. The best thing about this place is location. But I can't accept a 24-hour facility that can't give my husband the level of care that he needs.

This facility is very patient friendly and keeps the family informed of their loved ones care. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I visit my mother-in-law at least 2-3 times a week, so most of the staf know me by sight. Any concerns we have discussed with the staff has been dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. I have recommended this facility to several friends. My mother-in-law went in for physical therapy after surgery, however her Alzheimers made it necessary for her to have 24 hour care.
