So so thankful I found this place. Its been rough finding a real caring place for my wife and Alzheimer's. Last two were disasters. Total opposite here. caregivers truly care, leader cares, patience is exceptional. Again very thankful I was able to get in. Good people here.

We are very impressed with Gruene Senior Living. My mother is very happy there. The rooms are good sized, and the staff to resident ratio is very good. The staff is very nice and my mother enjoys interacting with them. They have a lot of activities. Everything is on one level. They don't have to go up in an elevator or go to different floors. She likes the food, and she said there's a good variety. They have a game area, an exercise area, a hair salon, a TV area, a puzzle area, and a big dining room.

Gruene Senior Living is privately owned with doctors and nurses on staff. The dining room and activities were at the center, and the rooms were off the edges of it. They offered me coffee and cookies. The place was very open and had high ceilings. The room had a kitchenette with a little bar that came out. There were two people in wheelchairs, and I didn't feel it was an open enough floor plan for them to maneuver.

We're on Gruene Senior Living's waiting list for my aunt and uncle. I especially like this place because it is homey. They have studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. We saw some of them and every bathroom has a storage shelf where residents could put lots of their personal material and toiletries, etc. None of the other facilities has that. When we were inquiring about this place, their director was very informative and friendly. This person's attitude was that we were there as guests, which is very different from any other facilities I've experienced. We talked to some of the residents and they all said that they love it there, that they wouldn't go live anywhere else, and that they were very happy. They totally recommended that place to us. They had a social hour and everybody was going to it. Nobody stayed in his or her room and everybody seemed to be very happy about it. The staff seemed to be right on the spot whenever anybody wanted anything. Overall, I'm satisfied with my tour.
