So far, I have had a great experience with Windsor. My dad has been there for 6 weeks now for rehab and he likes the program, the therapists and the food. What I like about it also is that we can always talk to management as I have their cellphones.

My husband has been in Windsor Houston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for six months now. He is there for rehabilitation. The staff members are a little concerned, but not as passionate as I feel they should be. My husband's room is a regular hospital room with two beds. There are two people in a room. With regards to activities, they go out on shopping trips, movies, and lunch. They also watch movies inside, and they play games and bingo. However, they need to get people that are going to stay. They have a big turnover and there's a lot of stealing. They stole money from my husband twice, and nothing was done about it. They should hire more trustworthy employees and have cameras and stuff where they can see what's going on. They should also improve their food. He complains about the food all the time.

My mother-in-law stays here. The food is horrible. We have to bring in food from outside most of the time because the quality of the food is unhealthy. Fresh fruit and vegetables are not that expensive. The rooms are shared and very dirty. We walk in and our shoes are always sticking to the floor. We actually bring in cleaning wipes to wipe everything, even the floor when we come in. It looks like a dirty wet mop might get pushed around once a month. Very disappointed for $5K a month?

While in Houston, I stopped by a facility near my hotel to see how much different the homes in Houston are vs. the homes in Dallas. I was impressed with the fine furniture, nice therapy gym, and pleasant residents. Everyone seemed to enjoy their work place as well as the residents were all interactive with each other as well as the the staff. There was surprisingly no odors which is common for nursing facilities.

I would give this facility a negative 100 stars if I could. They do not care about the patients there at all. My husband was there for rehab to get his strength back in his legs after a long hospital stay. Many days he got no rehab. When he did get it, it was just for 10 - 15 minutes. Because he was not able to get out of bed on his own, they placed a catheter in him. It was there for 3 weeks without them ever checking it. He complained constantly about pain from it but they refused to do anything. My husband ultimately got a sepsis infection from this. I finally pulled him out of there and took him directly to the ER where they knew it was a sepsis infection before even running any tests. Tests later confirmed their diagnosis. My husband only lived another 6 days. He is now gone and Windsor Houston caused his death due to lack of care while there. Run away from this facility as fast as you can. They are only interested in getting your money and will not care for your loved one!!!!

It has been a very difficult year because we have not been able to see our mom in the nursing home, but this facility has been working well with our family and we had been able to facetime every week. She's been there for a couple of years now and she likes the staff and has made several friends. A couple of months ago, my husband and I were allowed to visit her inside again and we were so happy to see her in person again. Thank you Windsor Team for taking care of mom and we sure do hope this virus will disappear soon

My brother was in this facility for a little over a month in July 2020. He send to the hospital by 911 because he because he developed sepsis. This is a very bad blood infection. He got it because of the terrible stage 4 bed sores on his lower backside. He was completely ignored by the staff and aloud to lay in fifth. Because of Covid 19 we were not allowed to see my brother. Until we saw in the hospital we had no idea of how bad he was. We could only talk to people at the facility and they certainly didn't tell us the full story of how he was going through. I hope the pay someday!. My brother died 3 weeks ago.

My wife was in this facility and the care she received in this home was not up to standards. I can't see how this facility can be given a 5 star when my wife got un infection while being cared by staff that did not take care of her like they are paid to do.

My mother in law lived in this facility for about 2 1/2 years before she passed way and they took really good care of her. what i liked about it was that everytime i needed to talk to administration or DON, i would call them on their phones directly. Other homes, it is almost impossible to talk to the decision makers. in 2 1/2 years we were at Windsor the key staff barely changed and my mother-in-law always new her caregivers. She did Rehab and then stay long term. The Medical Director Dr. Ojeih was very approachable as well. He is a great doctor. my wife and I learned that this facility is a stand alone facility and they have a very caring culture. Dont get me wrong people, they have made a few mistakes like misplaced a pair of clothes here and there, we are all humans, we all make mistakes but they always fixed it quickly. We live in houston for a long time and Windsor is part of our community and my wife and I recommend them for your loved one. I hope this review help. Have a nice one!
