My boyfriend's mom is at The Concierge. It has nice draperies and decorations but there's nobody who is out and about outside of their rooms like you might expect from a nursing home. It's pretty bare- bones. You have to always go through the side door. The staff, from what we can tell it, are not the friendliest folks, but it looks like they take care of her. Overall, the general feel is kind of dreary, seeing it kind of like a ghost town. I think they're attentive enough to her needs, but it doesn't feel like a home. They claimed to have some more amenities than I've seen. They claimed to have an ice cream parlor, but every time I walked past it, it was closed, and the lights were off. They claimed to have a movie theater, but I've never seen any activity in this so-called movie theater. They claimed to have like a spot for dogs to be there, but I've never seen any dogs around. They pretty much have a gym, and that's all I have seen.

My dad is at The Concierge. One of the primary choices for us was the transportation for my dad's dialysis that they could provide for him because he is on dialysis three days a week. So we have a non-emergency transport system arranged with them, and they've been very good with that. It's also close to my mom. It's only 15 minutes away from her. My dad has a very spacious room with a chair, a TV, and an armoire. The only thing I would recommend is that they should have a sofa bed for my mother. So far, the staff members have been very nice and attentive. My dad likes the one who helps him daily. The physical therapist has been very good with him. They have movie nights and game nights. They have a big outdoor atrium in the middle of the facility where they do walking and other physical activities. There are calendars posted in each room.

This is one of the best facilities that I have stayed at since June of this year. They are not perfect but generally are very responsive and caring. The physician therapy and occupational therapy people are excellent. They have provided me with an exceptional experience and I am currently doing things that are not expected given my health issues. My staff medical team is also excellent.

My mom was a resident of The Concierge in Houston. The facility was nice. I just had an issue with the CNAs not knowing their roles and responsibilities. I had to report them twice, on two separate occasions, to the director of nursing. Outside of the aides, everyone else was very knowledgeable and concerned. The appearance and protocols, everything was clean and was organized. It looked like a hotel. It is somewhere that if they had long term, hands down, even though I had the interaction idea with the two CNAs, I would put my mother there in a heartbeat if she had to spend the rest of her days somewhere.

Notice how the reviews have changed in 2021! I had a loved one there for 17 days this year and I would repeat: DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. The phones do not get answered. When someone answers, the exchange is often abrupt and/or rude. The phone in my loved one's room did not work MOST of the time she was there. The floor staff/ nursing staff do not answer questions and their attitude is resentful and defensive. My loved one and I had been vaccinated since February and yet we were subjected to isolation, gowned, masked, etc. with no explanation. It was very difficult to schedule visiting time. She was not given the physical therapy that she was sent there to receive. I asked about that and I got no satisfactory answers. Her diet was suddenly changed without any information given about the reason. I asked. But, again the attitude was defensive and without any explanation that made sense. DON'T PUT A LOVED ONE THERE!

PLEASE do not use this nursing facility for anyone you care about. The list of things wrong with this facility is very long. BUT MOST IMPORTANT is the combination of poor quality care and almost total lack of communication from both the medical and administrative staff. Whenever I called it was almost impossible to talk to a nurse or doctor and the few times I was able to talk to a nurse they were very terse and did not provide helpful information. The manner in which I was notified that my brother had passed away was so cold and impersonal that I feel it is representative of the overall lack of caring in this facility. There is so much more I could say but let me just STRESS do not put someone you love in this facility.

My MIL was referred to The Concierge for rehab after a small stroke. The staff was very helpful and I found the place to be beautiful and welcoming. Unfortunately, her insurance didn’t have the the facility in network. Janett was very accommodating during the process and very sweet. Her efforts to get things moving were very much appreciated!

My mom died in The Concierge on Saturday, 2-20-21. My sister and I still do not know the cause of death as of 2-25-21. My sister and I were hung up on by staff at the Concierge the same day my mom died. My sister and I were told that we were not on the contact list and they would not talk to us. We do not know why we are suddenly not on a contact list. In the past, if we could get someone to answer the phone, we were able to facetime our mother or try to talk to her. Many times in the past few weeks when we have tried to call the phone just rings and rings and rings and no one answers. I tried calling my mom to talk to her/facetime on February 14th and the phone rang for at least 4 minutes and no one answered. I called back on the 19th and was told by a staff member that I could not talk to my mom because I am not on a contact list. My sister and I had facetimed mom in the past and I did not know why suddenly we could not talk to mom or find out anything. The doctors office would never return my call. The admissions in The Concierge would never return my call nor talk to me. Today, Thursday 2-25-21, I have still not heard back from anyone. I still do not know how my mom died on Saturday 2-20-21. Do not put your loved one in this place.

DO NOT take you loving one to this facility. The care is horrible. My love one was there for 3 weeks and ended up being transported to ER. The quality of care pathetic. The staff was uncaring and never answer the phone. At the time my love one there, recently I was not allowed to come into facility...COVID. Not even as an essential caregiver, which I take of my love one. But, found out it was a lie, this was once we left facility. Again DO NOT take your love one to this place!!!!

I am in the rehab facility called the Concierge off Eldridge PKY. I have been here for 2 weeks now. I can not express how happy I am that my insurance company placed me here for my rehabilitation. It is a quite spacious floor. The staff members are ABSOLUTELY wonderful. They take time with you and are at your room before the drop of your hat from when you call the call button. They are extremely friendly and helpful plus hard workers. They come to your room almost every half hour to check on you and to see if you need anything. They bend over backwards to serve you. I would stand on the top of the roof and shout out “ THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE for your loved ones to come.” The therapy personnel are just as friendly and work you until you are worn out. They are helpful towards you as are the cleaning people ( rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day). The funny thing is that I order coffee and milk with ice to make my ice coffee. The nurses now make it for me out of the niceness of their heart. They really do make you feel at home here. I encourage you to try it out. I would like to recognize the well-trained nurses, as well as,the many others of which I don’t know their names. They truly do go out of their way to make you happy and comfortable. I could not have chosen a nicer place to be. Even the kitchen staff that delivers the trays to the room are just as kind and gentle as gentle could be. They deliver the trays with a big smile and ask “what else can I do for you?” Now that I have been waited on hand and foot I’m not ready to go home. Since I am in the rehab section I can only say how spacious the bathroom is and the bedroom is adequate...enough to move around and maybe have 1-2 guests in your room. There is a desk with a chair and then a comfortable living room chair. I have two windows from which to look out of. There is also a nice console for the tv with one large cabinet and three drawers below. When it comes time when I am unable to care for myself I DEFINITELY will come back to the assisted living . It really is home !!! Come for a visit and check it out. You won’t be disappointed !!!

Their admission staff, especially Ms. Elodia W, was extremely helpful and accommodating. Compared to other "luxury" facilities, the staff members at The Concierge are excellent. This reflects the top management's ethos that must be "customer focused" by providing their staff with training and ability to make decisions at their local level. Not some unknown corporate person out-of-state. Bravo!

In the spring of 2018, my mother's primary care physician arranged her transfer from hospital to The Concierge for continued recovery treatment by the nursing and rehabilitation staffs. Our experience was absolutely wonderful and Mom soon became a permanent resident. The Concierge is a beautiful facility that is staffed by conscientious professionals at all levels of responsibilities and services. The Executive Director has over 25 years of experience as a licensed Long Term Care Administrator and is supported by an administrative staff of 14 departmental managers, directors and specialists. The nursing staff has always been friendly to Mom and attentive to her needs and my inquiries. Her wellness is monitored daily including several visits per week by a physician that is permanently assigned to Mom. The Dietary Manager prepares daily menus offering a variety of food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On many occasions, I have joined Mom for lunch or dinner and the food has been very enjoyable. Mom's daily life is also enriched by the planned experiences of the Activities Director and the director includes Mom is the preparation of the special events. In closing, I feel very confident in the capabilities of The Concierge administrative staff and appreciate their quality of service to me and Mom.

This facility is beautiful as soon as you walk through the front door. And that continues on to the rooms themselves and the dining facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful and extremely considerate of the needs of the residents. I was only here temporarily for continuing IV antibiotic treatment, but I saw the nurses aides taking the time to feed the residents who couldn't feed themselves in the dining area instead of in their rooms. They made sure that the residents got out and weren't stuck in their rooms at all times. The nurses anf those in charge of making this facility function properly were very efficient, friendly, and quick to answer any concerns that I had. Courtesy and compassion are in great supply here. I would recommend it highly for anyone who has a family member or a need for themselves.

The Concierge is a very beautiful facility. My mother was placed there from the hospital twice. The nurses were very attentive to my mother. She was on the 1st floor in The Laurel unit. They definitely could use more support staff; ie, can positions. there really wasn't enough to provide coverage of the entire floor. They did do the best of their ability. The ADON Ladonna was the greatest as was the wound care Nurse Stephanie. They went above and beyond their duties to take care of my mother and the other residents there. The facility offers many activities, and outings. My mother wasn't able to partake in any because of her condition. The staff made sure when my mom was in the process of transitioning they made sure was comfortable as well as our family members. All the staff was very compassionate, considerate and welcoming. I am very glad to have met them all and feel there helped us by softening to blow of losing our beloved family member. Thank you To all the staff that helped with the care of my mother

My husband is in the Concierge; it's very pretty when you walk in. I think the parking was very limited, and I think their staff was not as good. I needed to get help for my husband, and I couldn't find one. We were late for the doctor, and they did not pick him up. I thought the care was lax, and the food was average.

I thought my mom would only be at The Concierge for three weeks, but her stay turned out to be a little longer. I cannot tell you how nice the staff was. The Director of Nursing was excellent. Each day she and several department heads checked in on my mom to see if she needed anything. All of the nursing staff were professional and very competent. The care my mother received was excellent. The aides did an especially did a good job. They always checked on her to see if she needed anything. I would not hesitate one moment to have my mom stay at The Concierge again.

My mom is in The Concierge right now. They are competent. They have doctors who come in the building, and physical therapy and occupational therapy. They have good food, a trained staff, games, and church activities. They have a pretty good patients-to-caregiver ratio with some very skilled people, like a special wound nurse that dresses Mom’s wound. They also have equipment to help her get out of bed. The food is very good, and she likes it very much.

I did not even want to give a 1 star rating that was too high to give. This is a horrible place they have left my husband in feces and urine. When they do change him he is not properly cleaned or changed. I have come into his room and found him with most of his clothes off and his shirt is all wet with urine and that is how they left him after the changed him. They never want to turn him until i go find someone and make them do it.. The second shift nursing staff and CNAs are lazy and rude. He will use his call button to call the staff for help and they will take over an hour and up to 2 hours to even come and see what he is needing. I have caught them sitting at their desk or in front of the tv as I listen to more than one call button going off and they are paying no attention to any of it... I have also found the medication carts let unattended in the hallway and the nurse no where around. The nurses on the 2-10 shift usually will disappear around 7:45 until about 9:15 and if you need help there is no one to help you not even the CNA. We have even found the PT department lacking in their treatment as well. We had to move to another facility for him to receive the proper care that he should have been receiving all a long

SCARY and TERRIBLE!!! My mother only spent one night in this facility because she was very, very scared. The rooms had no phones in them and there were no phones to use to contact their family. There was no way to let them know that they are being mistreated. The staff is very, very mean. They yelled at my mom to go to her room and just sit there. Luckily, my mom found a nurse that let her use her personal phone. My mom called me and asked me to please come pick her up immediately, which I did. All the patients looked like they had been drugged and had a blank stare on their face. It looked more like a mental institute. Very, very sad!

My mom had surgery so we felt that she would benefit by having 24 hour professional care. We arrived at the Concierge on a Friday. The shift was changing for the weekend shift. We had a bit of a bumpy start. The next day I spoke to Allen the appointed weekend director. Once we communicated our needs things began to change. The nurses were more responsive. Since my mom has a very restrictive diet due to food sensitivities she was eating rice and vegetables. On Monday I spoke to Frances, the official director and she created a menu for my mom which had more variety. Frances cares a lot about her patients. She listens and works diligently in following through. This facility went above and beyond to cater to my mom's needs. The nurses and CNAs were very caring and showed a lot of kindness. It's also important to be realistic. The nurses have a lot on their plates so they sometimes have to be reminded more than once or twice about completing a task that is out of the ordinary. Communication is key. I highly suggest the Concierge to anyone looking for professional care for their loved ones.

My Mom was just released from The Concierge. Had numerous hiccups during her stay. Laundry lost and never returned. Not sure Medication was dispensed correctly and when nurse was questioned could not verify for sure given correctly to her and not another patient. Eye in pain and would not give additional eye drops. Mom was told she already had been given eye drops could not have any more. Mom was told she had to give a 7 day advance notification to check-out of The Concierge. Arrived on a Friday and took 3-4 days to supposed get medications needed for her treatment. Too many people in rehab. One evening Nurse on duty has language barrier. Shower floors are slick..so may want to bring your own Rubbermaid mat and own Towels...they are very few given out. Eager to get your family member at The Concierge and then little to NO follow-up. Facility is under new management and staff says they work hours, special projects, etc....Very Unorganized. Do not judge a facility by the appearance. Beware.

This is a beautiful facility; looks like a luxury hotel. However. I had my mom there for several months and constantly went round and round with them over the laundry. I did NOT want clothes to go into the institutional laundry because they constantly got lost and other people's stuff ended up in her room. She would tell them those were not her clothes and they would make her wear them anyway--once she was wearing a man's shirt and jeans that were about three sizes too big. I had HUGE signs in several places in the room that "Family does laundry" and even brought in my own hamper. They just ignored it. She had several wool sweaters and every single day one of those sweaters was tossed into the communal laundry basket and I had to fish them out along with everything else. Those sweaters would have been doll-size had they been washed. They also would try to get away with not helping her put on her bra. She was dressed and wheeled to the communal dining room for meals and was very self conscious about not having a bra on! Unforgiveable! I finally had a major tantrum and that stopped. Pretty environment, but not well run, and many of the nurses and aides were just plain surly. Would not recommend.
