I'm a resident of Treemont Retirement Community. It has been very good. The people are excellent. The staff is excellent. They have activities and so on. Everything is pretty good except for the food. I have two bedrooms and a big area in between with the kitchen and the living room. They have bingo, happy hour, and there's a lot of exercise. There are church services, too. It's just different things. I don't do most of them because I have my son I take care of. They have a beauty salon and a community area. I walk my dog out there. They have a library and an exercise room. They have several buildings and I happen to be in the first one, so I'm by the office and so on. With regards to value for money, it's reasonable. I think it's pretty cheap.

Treemont Retirement Community offers two options for Assisted Living:
1) Independence Plus in your Independent Living apartment. Seniors who need help with activities of daily living can receive home health services in their retirement apartment instead of moving to a licensed assisted living facility. Treemont has entered into a Preferred Provider agreement with Senior Allegiance, Inc. which is licensed to provide both skilled home health services under the Medicare program, and Personal Assistance services. Because Senior Allegiance, Inc. maintains an office on-site, residents never have to worry about minimum visit charges. This allows residents to enjoy an active and independent lifestyle while being capable of adding a la carte services as needed.
The most popular of the home health services is assistance with managing medications. Another popular service is the AM start program that provides assistance with bathing and dressing, and helps residents get up and out to breakfast in the morning. This positive start to the day helps assure residents are able to fully enjoy the activities and social life at Treemont. Senior Allegiance offers preferred pricing for its services to Treemont Residents.
Independent Living provides an all-inclusive monthly rate that includes: 3 meals daily, weekly housekeeping, transportation to doctors appointments and shopping, a robust activities program, emergency call system in your apartment, optional security checks and more! All for a starting monthly rate of $1,600.00.
OR
2) Traditional Assisted Living in our Health Care Center. Treemonts all-inclusive Assisted Living option offers personalized assistance, supportive services and compassionate care in a professionally managed, carefully designed community setting in Treemonts Health Care Center. Its the perfect alternative for seniors who can no longer live on their own at home, yet dont need 24-hour, complex skilled medical care. Treemont Assisted Living has an all-inclusive price, starting at $3,750, that includes many services that the residents would find themselves paying extra for in any other setting.
Approach provides the ideal solution for seniors who need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. We focus on wellness and keeping residents as independent as possible by providing a tailored plan of assistance. Our residents enjoy beautifully appointed living spaces, delicious meals, engaging social activities, and personalized assistance and care. In your own airy, room you will enjoy all the comforts of home, and do as much for yourself as you are able. You can enjoy three home-style meals each and take part in as many of our social and recreational activities as you choose.
Meanwhile, whenever you need assistance, whether it is with dressing, bathing, dining, our friendly highly trained staff is at your services. Through consultation with you and your family and regular care plans, we ensure that you will receive just the right amount of care for your needs. I lived at the Treemont for OVER 16 YEARS Until new management took over it was a great place The location is great. I left due to food and security reasons. I am diabetic and my blood sugar had gotten so high I was in danger of dying. The food was not healthy and there were no suitable choices. Security was lacking and they even let a person who was out on bond for manslaughter move in and he shot and killed a women. During the summer the dining room had no air conditioning and during the winter had no heat. I gave a written 30 day notice. They are asking for an EARLY termination fee of 1 moths rent. I was advised not to pay it because their lease was unfair practice.

The facility is old and in need of major repairs, plumbing, heating and air. The heating and air for the Dining Hall is and has been out since May of 2023. The Bed Bug infestation still exists; this year the residents are required to pay for exterminate bed bugs can be found in the common areas. In May of 2023 they hired a Certified Chef her name is Jesse and she has made improvements even though Management interferes with her management of the food and beverage service. Management of this facility has no knowledge of managing a Senior Living Center.

I have been living in Treemont Retirement Community for a week now. They have renovated all the apartments, so everything is brand new. I'm cooking for myself, I have a stove, so I don't do the food. They have a big dining room and there's a lot of people eating. I usually don't eat in these facilities because of my diet, but everybody seems to enjoy it. The staff is really friendly, and the care people come at the time they are scheduled, and they treat me really, really well. They have activities for the residents. They have two pianos. They have a hall and the wood on the floor for dancing is pretty big. The place is big. It is easy to access. The prices are good, too. They have a library, movies, gyms, and bingo all the time.

The property is very old and poorly maintained. There is a serious bedbug issue, roach and other pests, rat infestation. It's a health hazard risk for residents especially that they can't fend these pests off their bodies, beds and food. The staff front desk & management are nice but their not in charge. The new owners company need to pay attention because this is going be a department health issue. There is also theft going on. Several residents have complained.

Bedbug infestation for months. Management does not communicate with residents and leaves them in the dark about most everything. Zero security at all times. 4 cleaning ladies for the entire complex which is no where near capacity. New management lacks in every department that is actually there, but never on the weekends.

I like everything about living at Treemont. It's clean and orderly, and the service is good. The staff is nice, and the food service is well organized and serves healthy meals. The owners are very accommodating about residents' food preferences. We're close to Memorial City Mall and the emergency room at Memorial Hermann hospital. There are many activities; musical performances, exercise programs, field trips, etc. It's a great value, as well.

I have chosen Treemont Retirement Community. It's a convenient location, and it's got smaller rooms, which I don't care for, but it was cheaper rent. I got a year's lease to make sure they can't change it for the next year. The staff who toured me is a 5. She did everything I asked, she went out of her way, she's a very pleasant person, and she got everything done properly. However, there was no gym. There's one treadmill and one bicycle, it's all they have for a workout. That's another negative. In terms of location, it's close to my family. The place is a little bit older.

We toured Treemont Retirement Community, their food made me sick. I don't want to say bad things about them but it felt institutional, and it seemed like it was more of a hospital. They had both assisted living and a full CCRC, so a lot of their residents there were older and looking for assisted living. They were all lumped into one big facility. I didn't get the real feeling that I would ever consider it home. It just didn't seem right. They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with not a full kitchen, but what they called a kitchenette. They offered three meals a day. The kitchenette involved a small fridge and a microwave, and that's about the extent of the kitchen. It seemed they have 12 acres of land that they had developed, and it was nice as far as the wooded areas. They made their grounds look very, very nice and they have plenty of places to walk so you wouldn't feel that it was in the city at all. It was more like a plantation or something like that. It was very nice, but it wasn't very convenient though. They were the first facility that I talked to and they gave me an education on what independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care are. And they had all of that in their location. It's also their distance from my daughter, and not just because they have bad food. The person who showed me around, Linda, was very helpful.

I went and toured Treemont Retirement Community. My brother would have to be on the second floor, and I don't know if they would deliver his meals to him or whatever, but he would have to have a way to get the meals and everything. He would also have to have someone to bathe him and all that stuff. They have someone who does the tour, she takes you around, shows you the different available units, and explains what it's like and all that. They were very good about that. The only problem is that it comes back down to finances. She was very good. They had two models. She showed us the smallest unit and then she showed us a unit that was a little bit larger than that. But they're very nice, and they're laid out nice. There's a little living area, a small kitchen, and a little table like a breakfast room or something. The bedrooms were nice, and the closets were nice and pretty spacey. Overall, I was very impressed with it. They have games. Everything is downstairs. They have a dining room, and they have a staff chef that can cook the meals and all that stuff. But you have to go down and get them. They also have a library and an exercise room.

I didn't like Treemont. It was far too big for me because I like them a little bit smaller. It's quiet back in there, but it's on a busy street. I think a lot of people would've liked it, but I didn't like it personally. I don't have anything to say as far as how good they are or anything like that, because when you visit like that, you're visiting pretty fast. It was only the first visit, and I really can't give a really good evaluation of them except that I wouldn't live there, but a lot of people would. The apartments were small, and they only had kitchenettes, which is fine because they were giving three meals a day. The place is so big, I don't see how you have a chance to meet a lot of the residents. When I was there, I didn't see very many, and the dining room had long hours, so they come at different times. They had a courtyard, but we did not go out in it. The staff showed me all the common areas. It's a quiet community considering that it's on a busy street, but things were a little bit older. Not that they aren't good, they're just older, so it's not a big deal.

I moved my brother into The Treemont Retirement Community. He has his own room, it's good, and the place is almost 50 years old. It's not Hollywood, but it's not bad either for the cost compared to other places. It's not bad, we got the bigger room. The food seems to be good according to other residents; they're pretty happy with it. The staff is really good, there are activities, but with the COVID a lot of the stuff that they used to do they're not doing yet. The cafeteria is not even open yet, and they're delivering all the meals to the rooms. They had to do what they can do to keep everybody safe. It's not a five-star hotel kind of looking place, it's more of a three-star hotel place if that's what you're going to compare it to. It's pretty clean, lots of other people have been there a long time, so they don't turn over people regularly.

Treemont was very nice. The lady there was able to give me the tour. The medical part didn't have a smell. The overall living part was beautiful and lovely. The only problem that might occur is that I feel my dad is going to get lost because there's so many rooms. Other than that, it's comfortable. If I had to live there, I would.

The Treemont was more assisted living than senior apartments. To me, they were more geared toward assisted living mainly because the kitchen in the apartments did not have a stove, just a refrigerator and a microwave. One thing that I really liked was they had different seating areas. People had been putting puzzles together and put them in frames, which is one of the things I like doing. I loved the fireplace. We walked around there and on the really nice little patio area, which was a place that I enjoyed. The lady that I talked to was very nice and understanding. They were good, and the apartments were nice and functional. As far as the facilities and everything, they were very nice.

Treemont was actually one of the ones the my brother was thinking about, but I don’t know. It looked more like a hospital to me than an apartment. It had lots of activities, and I think it had like a microwave. Everyone was really nice, and the residents looked happy.

It was beautiful. The people were active, and the place was busy. I had a tour guide, and she went over all the details about entertainment and all the rooms and showed me one of the apartments. The thing I did not like about Treemont was the rooms all opened on a hallway. They had a very good chef, and it was probably the best place where we ate. They had all sorts of activities, all kinds of games, clubs, weight rooms, exercise and just about any kind of thing you wanted to do. They would help you go to the shopping center and to the grocery store. I would recommend them except for the indoor hallways.

My husband is in Treemont right now. He is in the skilled nursing, and it is close to my home. It is the best choice for me to be able to go to him. I think the nurses are better than the others. Also, the size of the place, he is blind, and it needs to be small enough that he can go around in. As he is blind and also has pneumonia, he doesn't participate in activities very much. He goes to physical therapy, but they do have a great deal of things that he can do if he wants.

We knew Mom needed a more supportive environment and started visiting retirement communities. We were immediately impressed with the warmth of the Treemont staff and residents. Once Mom moved in, they helped her make a smooth transition during a challenging time of downsizing from her home. Mom has made new friends and is active and engaged. She no longer needs to worry about upkeep of her home, nor do we! My siblings and I are glad we found Treemont and highly recommend that you check out this community.

Absolutely wonderful community! The staff were friendly and genuinely warm. You could tell they really cared about the residents and the community. The residents all looked very well taken care of and were happy and smiling. Lunch was terrific!

The facility is older, but very accommodating. The staff is friendly and caring. The food is good and the dining area is always neat, clean and the staff that brings the food to the tables are always very nice. The facility has an exercise area, an excellent library, a large area for those wanting to play games such as bridge, etc. Religious services are held weekly and various churches participate. Almost immediate action is taken when a client has a need in their apartment. While this may not be a 5 star resort, you won't be disappointed in having your loved one live at the Treemont Retirement Community. One additional item to mention is that there are great activities each day for the clients and Treemont even provides transportation to local area shopping places and grocery stores. Before we made a decision to have our loved one stay, we visted a number of times, talked with clients who had been there anywhere from six months to more than 15 years. While our relative has only been there less than six months, we are pleased with our decision.

I have my dad at Treemont and he is quite happy. Not only the staff are very friendly but the residents as well. It was just a very open environment. One of the reasons why we chose this facility is that when they invited us for lunch, the food was really good and my dad loves the food. Another reason was that, he is in the independent living now but if he gets to the point where he requires more care, the facility has contract employees that are in there that you can hire. The rooms are large and it got big nice windows in his bedroom. It's very light and very pleasant. He goes to bingo twice a week. They also have card playing, dominos, and other games that you can do. They provide entertainment on the weekends. They have people play the trombone or guitars. This place is all indoor corridors which I like a lot better. The dining facility is very nice. It looks like more like a dining room in a nice cruise ship.
