I knew Amazing Grace was a great place for Memaw immediately when i walked in. It smelled fresh and clean and also the staff was very helpful from the beginning. They offered us a tour of the facility and answered any questions that we had. But most importantly they had genuine care and concern for the overall health and well being of Memaw. They treated her like family. One thing I really love about this place is she has basically kind of like her own small private residence. Its really like a small efficiency apartment. I really like the idea of her getting to have her own personal furniture (some anyway). Having some of her own personal stuff makes it feel more liek home to her. Another thing that I really like is that she actually has her own direct phone like right to her room , so that we ( the family ) can call her at any given time. She also eats her meals right in the privacy of her own room , and we know her meal times so that we know to give her about an hour until we either go visit or call.Overall the experience so far has been great and she is enjoying her stay there. So knowing that she is happy is takes a large weight off our shoulders and makes us feel comfortable knowing tha she is in great hands.

MY GRANDMOTHER AND MY MOTHER WERE BOTH RESIDENTS AT AMAZING GRACE AT DIFFERENT TIMES. THE STAFF WERE SO CARING AND THE MEALS WERE HOMESTYLE (MACARONI AND TOMATOES, CORNBREAD, MEATLOAF, ETC) SO MY NEARLY 90 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER WAS COMFORTABLE AND WHEN SHE WAS ABLE THEY ALLOWED HER TO HELP CLEAR DISHES. A FEW YEARS LATER, WHEN MY DAD MADE THE DECISION TO PLACE MY MOM, FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY, IT WAS AN EASY DECISION BECAUSE WE ALREADY KNEW MOST OF THE STAFF. (THAT SAYS VOLUMES IF THERE IS LITTLE TURNOVER IN STAFFING.) MY MOM RECEIVED EXCELLENT CARE AND MY DAD STILL GOES BY TO VISIT THE OTHER RESIDENTS AND THE NURSES. MY DAD IS 86, AND WHEN THE TIME COMES I KNOW WHERE I WILL GO FOR ASSISTANCE.
