My siblings and I selected Belmont Village Hunters Creek as my Mom's new home when her memory care facility in Des Moines, Iowa, told us they could no longer care for her because of her repeated attempts to escape. We moved her into a nice private room in the Neighborhood (dementia care) floor of BVHC in May 2016. Her transformation has been remarkable. My depressed, mean, angry mom from 2016 is now content, mellow, and sweet. She participates in the daily group activities and exercises (designed specifically for dementia patients), she has manicures and pedicures at the beauty salon, and she works with the on-site physical and occupational therapy staff to maintain her abilities and dignity as much as possible. Mom now requires the maximum amount of care and assistance, and it's provided with kindness and caring by the many staff members - most of which have been there since Mom moved in 18 months ago. We are so lucky we found BVHC for her, and I have nothing but praise for the beautiful facility and the wonderful staff.

My father will be moving into Belmont Village Hunters Creek. On first impressions, I really liked it. We were given a tour by Lexi, and she was really wonderful in explaining it. She had a lot of compassion and empathy, and she really helped guide us. So far, so good. They have a pool and a theater room, so you can go watch movies.

The management staff is horrible. My loved one was left in his wheelchair for 24 hours. He sat in his own urine. Forced to sleep that way. Asked for management to call me back...still waiting almost a month later. Patient meds are not given as directed, and at times left floating in juice. 5 out of. 10 PALS are not nice. They speak to these ill patients rudely. You pay very high premiums for very poor service. The state will be notified of all our experiences.

Residents are not taken to the bathroom and are left in the same undergarment all day long. Staff speak in mean tone of voice to residents. Meds are left in common areas where anyone could take a sip. Activities are good.

State of the art care for seniors and dementia patients. Clean and beautiful facility, caring and skilled administrators. Belmont has a strong network of professional support in every specialty. The programming is superior and stimulating, but can be tailored to loved one's needs. There is also a strong sense of family at the Belmont and support, continuing education, and special programs to include families of residents.

We found the right place for Mom at Belmont Village, and she has been there for about three weeks. I would highly rate this place. She has her own apartment without a roommate, so she has her own independence, which is what I wanted. She can bring her cat. They have a program there for mild dementia that’s called Circle of Friends, which won a national award. The food is excellent and restaurant-quality. The staff is unbelievably good. They have lots of activities. It’s very clean and very high end.

We’re very happy with Belmont Village for my mother. We had a great salesperson. The rooms are on the high side, so they’re not low-priced. They have a beauty shop. The facility is only about a year old, so it is really nice. It is modern, airy, and well-lit. There are no smells. They have a really good-looking dining area, too.

I thought the staff at Belmont Village was excellent. They gave me a tour, and I was very impressed with the caregivers, and the amenities. They have all kinds of activities. They have a swimming pool. They have a lovely dining room. They had menus that the people could order their food.

I had a very good experience during my visit at Belmont Hunters Creek. They were trying in an electronic check-in system and we were the first ones to use it. They seemed like they were very, very safety conscious as far as any unwanted person not being able to get in. I was very impressed by that. The place was very beautiful and clean. The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice.
