I love my home!! The people and staff members are so incredibly nice, it's always clean and me and my husband will be here until the day I die. I have toured all the other active adult complexes in the area and this is by far the best one in my opinion. I love that we have physical help here with the fitness classes and the Ageility program upstairs that does therapy. I will never leave this place!

Overture Frisco 55+ Apartment Homes was nice. What I did not like was instead of having a glass enclosure, they just put in a shower curtain. If you wanted a glass enclosure, you had to pay $1,500 dollars. I just thought that was pretty crafty. I liked the location though, and the staff was very knowledgeable. The dining area was clean. The apartments were nice.

PROS: Lovely apartments. Close to everything. Residents help each other. CONS: No transportation, food portions controlled, activities lack variety, gates frequently broken, $$$ increase at lease renewal, frequent employee turnover, and no emergency plan for disasters--freeze of 2021.

Overture Frisco was a nice facility. The features and amenities were very nice. The staff was very accommodating. The fitness center was very nice. They don't supply food there (only for happy hours and for events that they're doing). The staff knew what they were talking about. The facility looked very well maintained. The one thing I definitely would like to have seen is a fenced in property. Right now, it's not a gated property. It's open, so people can walk from the street up to the apartments. I saw masks and sanitizers around, but that's common practice anywhere now.

We chose Overture Frisco 55+ Apartment Homes for my mother-in-law, and she moved in there. It's a gated community, there's an elevator in there for them to go between the floors, there's a third floor that has an aerobic track around it, it's air-conditioned, they have a large pool, it's handicap accessible, they have areas for the dogs, and I know they have a lot of activities under normal circumstances. They have a big movie theater, and they have a common area where they eat. It's very nice.

We just moved into Overture Frisco. I really liked it. I was really impressed. The rooms are very nice. Everything is very nice. It has a friendly, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. When the amenities open up, there will be something to do all the time. They have breakfast five days a week, happy hour, exercises, cards, dominoes, puzzles, crocheting and knitting, and water aerobics in the pool. The staff is nice and friendly. There's no food. They haven't opened up the breakfast area yet. It's the best facility for our money.

Overture Frisco is independent living, but it's more just 55 and older apartment complex that had a few activities. It was nice, clean, and fairly new, and everyone seemed pretty happy. They had people playing card games and some older gentlemen engaged in playing chess. The apartments were good sized, but it was a more congested area and a lot more traffic. They had a dining room, sitting rooms, a theater with nice seats and very big TV, and regular scheduled movie nights. You could reserve the theater for your family.

Our room at The Aspens at Wade Park is very nice, light, and airy. It has lots of light and big windows. They have various activity programs like exercise and water aerobics. They have an exercise director who comes a couple times a week. They offer Continental breakfast five days a week, happy hour four times a week, and transportation to appointments. There's a barber and beauty shop. The staff is very friendly and competent.

Aspens at Wade Park is a newer facility but not as nice as the other place I visited. There's a one-time community fee of $1,000 and the lease is every 12 months. They have a continental breakfast Monday through Friday. They do not have meals, but they have a Happy Hour four times a week. The housekeeping was every two weeks and on-site storage was $25 a month. They weren't that updated or modern and require the renters to have a $100,000 reliability policy which is a big dollar amount. The director was a little bit late, but when she got there she was absolutely horrible. No matter what question we asked, she would say, "Oh we'll talk about it later," or if we wanted to know about how much it was going to be for something, she wouldn't give us any direct answers. She was very curt, not friendly, and awful. She should be fired since she's not a good representative of the facility.

My mom has moved into The Aspens at Wade Park. It has been very good. The building is only a year old. My mom's apartment is spacious. She has a balcony with storage. The finishes are nice. They have a granite countertop with laminate floors. They have very good customer service. The staff members are extremely friendly, very helpful, and prompt if you need anything. Like if my mom forgot to go down and pick her lunch, sometimes they bring it up to her or put it in their refrigerator. They don't have food preparation on campus, but Frisco catering brings lunches that you can buy Monday through Friday. They have entertainment a couple of times a week. They provide transportation to doctors' appointments a couple of times a week and once a week to stores. They have a swimming pool with water aerobics and a workout room, which is nice.
