l lived at Watercrest at Bryan for three years. I was there from May of 2017 to May of 2018. It's lovely. It has independent living or you can have assisted living, and you had your choice if you wanted to have meals. They had a heated pool, lots of activities, movies, and a beauty shop there in the building. It was very nice, and the food was delicious. We had happy hours on Friday afternoons and entertainment. They were very nice and very, very accommodating. The apartment was too small, that's why I left. It had large lobby areas, a gated community so you felt very safe, lots of activities all the time, and transportation. A lot of us would get into a little bus to go to musical events or whatever. It was a good value.

I toured Watercrest at Bryan. They offer three meals. Their homes are a little bit bigger and each one has a nice large little terrace. They offer garages for your car. I liked the atmosphere and what they had to offer. They had a huge common room or dining area. They did offer meals there. They cleaned your house twice a week. They did your laundry. There is a dog park. There are walking trails and it was just set up beautifully. It was close to town, but far enough out that you couldn't hear the traffic. It's brand new, so everything is nice inside. They're a wonderful place. The staff was nice. I just saw a one-bedroom. It's smaller than what I have because I have a two-bedroom, but I feel it's light up nicely, and I still could get 99% of my stuff in there. It's a beautiful place. They have a little pond. They have a walking trail and a tree-lined area. They have a salted heated swimming pool. They have a beauty salon.

We will be moving into Watercrest at Bryan. It was one of the few places that had three bedrooms and two baths. It was just a really pretty place, and it was very well-kept. They provide some of our meals, or they can provide all of our meals, depending on what we want to do. They have a lot of the amenities that the others had. The main thing about it was the space. Also, you can get a garage there. So we have three bedrooms, two baths, and a garage. They provide exercise classes. They also have areas where they have different classes and things for you to do. They have a bridge group, or I can use the bridge area of my friends if I want to, as long as I let them know when I want to use it. I've met two of the people who work on the staff, and they were both very accommodating, helping, and explaining everything. The facility itself is 13 years old. They had just done a renovation and replaced it with a new carpet and new paint, so it looks brand new. The landscaping facilities are wonderful. Our apartment overlooks a landscaped courtyard. They have a putting green and a saltwater pool. You can do aerobics there. It checks a lot of the boxes that you want.

My tour at Watercrest at Bryan was interesting and helpful. They didn't have any empty apartments to show me, so the lady who went out of town gave permission to the manager to let her apartment be shown. It was a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. She hired a decorator and it looked nice. They had one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. The manager took time to show us around and give us a tour of everything, amenities, and that sort of thing, as well as the food. We got there a little late and they had just finished lunch. I said something to the manager about it and she was able to get me a couple of things from the kitchen. It was a real good vegetable and beef stew and she got a container of that for me and also a serving of bread pudding. I just took it home and used it for my dinner that night, but it was good food. She said they don't do night meals. They have cold food for breakfast, as well as a hot meal. It's different every day, maybe bacon and eggs one day or pancakes another. They don't give you free meals, but they give you a $75 allowance per month, but of course, that doesn't cover all your food. The staff said even a lot of people don't even eat there at night. People can have cars there. She said the main meal is at lunch and it's a good size serving, so she said people often just take the leftovers from their lunch meal back to their apartment and eat them at supper at night. I anticipate I will have to spend more money. She said that I wouldn't need to spend more than about $250 a month. They have an exercise fitness room and several machines in there. They have a covered swimming pool that uses saltwater and it's heated as well. They have a theater room where they show movies and sometimes it's with popcorn and a drink, too. They have ice cream parties about twice a week. They have a social hour at least once a week. It's kind of like happy hour. They have a coffee room or a place where you can get yourself some coffee during the day where it's all set up. They have an activities room where people can play games, card games, or whatever kind of game they want to play. They have bible study during the day at least twice a week, and then they have services on Sunday morning, Catholic services, as well as a Protestant minister, comes every Sunday as well. They have a bus that will take you to a church off campus on a Sunday. The buses also during the week take you to different places like Wal-Mart and grocery stores and other days doctors' appointments. They have housekeeping once a month though they don't change the sheets (that would be something extra). They also had storage closets inside the building that you could rent for a reasonable amount of money every month if you needed to. It was not expensive at all. They have the option for people that wanted to have a garage and you pay for some special storage in addition to the garage. For the money, it just can hardly be beat.

We're on a waiting list at Watercrest at Bryan. The residents seemed very happy. They were friendly and outgoing. The director who showed us around had been there at least ten years, which seemed like a very good sign. She knew everyone by first name, and they all seemed so happy to see her as we passed in the hall. We did try the food; it was very nice. The staff we met, her name was Juliet, she went out of her way to answer questions and make my mother-in-law feel welcome and informed. They are in the middle of a big remodel, so some places were in a little bit of upheaval, but it's going to be beautiful. The grounds are beautiful and park like. The swimming pool is very attractive. They have a water aerobics teacher, and the exercise facility is also very nice.

I have chosen Watercrest at Bryan. I took a tour and I'm going to go put my name on their waitlist. I liked the atmosphere and the people at Watercrest, but three main things made me choose them over the other place. One is they have washer and dryer hookups in each apartment. The second thing was, everything was enclosed, so when you travel between buildings, all the hallways connect all the different portions. They also have garages that you can choose as an add-on to your rent. Those were the three major factors. Besides, I liked the people at Watercrest. The staff was very friendly, very organized, and very focused on the needs of the residents. They have a wide choice of apartments. They're not ultramodern, but they're very up-to-date. They're a little bit more luxurious than the others I've seen. You can have your choice of carpet or wood floors. They're very nice. They had granite countertops. There's a variety of bedrooms and each one has two or three options on floor plans, but the rooms were very, very nice and well-appointed. You have your choice of a garden view or a street view. They had the theater, the library, and meeting rooms that can be used. Their dining room was very nice, and they have a new chef who I heard is very good. In talking to the residents, they like his food. They have people come in to do religious services for people that can't get out. They have an exercise facility and workout classes, a beauty salon, and a computer room.

My mother picked Watercrest at Bryan because she likes the overall atmosphere. The people were all super nice and the facilities were all very good, so she decided that of those we looked at this is her favorite. The rooms are nice and a good size, plus the wide doorways allow her to use her walker. We also had lunch there.

I'm moving to Watercrest at Bryan because it's close to my youngest brother. I also like that it's a nice and clean place. It has a nice floor-plan, nice decor, they have good services, and they've got everything. I bought the whole package for the premium service. It's a way for me not to be a recluse anymore. I'll be in independent living. The food I had there was very well-presented and well-cooked; it was nice. Everything about the community is good, except I've got to walk to things, but that's a physical problem on my part.

My mom is in Watercrest at Bryan. It's the best one we found. It's great. What we like the most about it is that it has an a la carte menu; you pay the basic fee for having a room and then you can pay for how many meals you want per month. If you want cleaning service, you can pay for that, too. The a la carte feature is very nice. The food and was excellent. They have a coffee bar and a library, and a 24/7 swimming pool, which is enclosed so you can use it during the winter. They take residents to doctors, Target, and Walmart. They have movie nights and card games.

I was so sad with my relative had to move from Watercrest to receive a higher level of care. Both the independent and caregiver sides are amazing. Each and every resident is treated with the highest of respect, very food meals, etc. It's no wonder they continually have a wait list. I never ever worried about my parents when they lived there. I would like to live there!
