I visited this facility

Carriage Inn in Bryan is big. It's right off a university, which is quite a way from here. But the staff was really nice. They had amenities that were good. However, they're so big that when the staff took us on tour, I had to sit down because I couldn't make the whole way. And I wasn't really thrilled with the apartments. They weren't as nice as the other places. They had one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and studio apartments. I think they were painting the walls when we were there.

I visited this facility

The people at Carriage Inn - Bryan were nice. They had nice facilities, but the apartments themselves were very small. I just didn't think we could handle that. There wasn't any covered parking. Some of the residents were out walking, playing games, working puzzles, and things like that. The staff was a lovely woman.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is here. It is nice and clean, smells good, is spacious, has a lot of light and air, very beautiful landscaping, and a friendly staff. The food is fantastic, and it's a bit like a hotel experience. They go on field trips, have movie nights, they have a beauty salon, they bring in musicians, they have an ice cream social every week, a library, and crafts. I recommend it very highly. It does not have a medical feel about it. It has a feeling of a very bright and upbeat living community.

We liked it. Everyone was really open and friendly. The staff was really engaged with the community members. We loved the community calendar they had each month. It looked like they were really engaging the people, mind, body, and spirit.

It was very homey and had a comfortable home environment. I liked their atmosphere better knowing my father’s personality. It had very responsive people.

My brother-in-law is currently living here. We have found it to be outstanding, and he really enjoys being there. We are very pleased with it. The staff people have all been outstanding. We have eaten there several times, and the food is very good. The reason he moved there is because he wanted activities, and so he participates in everything they have.

It was very charming. The row of apartments faced a lawn area in between another row of apartments that faced the first row of apartments. The grassy area had walkways, trees, and gardens. They had a patio where you can put a chair and sit outside. They had an activity board with a list on it, so it's quite an active place. It was not too sophisticated, but it was comparable to others in terms of care.

We are on a waiting list here, and we are really happy since it is close to my house. The staff is very friendly. The place is very clean and upbeat. My loved one liked the people that she met. They have different activities, like puzzles and bingo. They also have ice cream socials on Wednesdays. There is always something to do. They have a salon. Doctors also come in to do checkups.

It was very nice; it felt more like a resort hotel. The place was huge and had a lot of activities going on, like dominoes, number games, and puzzles. They also had a laundromat. The room was smaller, but they did have full kitchens where the others I've seen just had a sink, a refrigerator, and a small microwave.

It was well lit and really plain. The rooms and apartments were very nice, clean, and looked really good. One man that lives there told me that they had excellent food. I saw some people reading books, playing cards and dominos, and doing arts and crafts. The location was impressive. It looked clean and spacious.

We visited here, and it was a wonderful community. The people and staff were very friendly. We really like that community, however, it was just too far from us. It was just a one-floor community, but if it was near to us, then we would have picked it. I know that they also had other amenities similar to what other places had. We were really impressed with this community, especially with the interaction of the staff and the residents.

I was very impressed with the community. The staff was outstanding. I think their services are going to be really good. I had a meal in their dining room which I enjoyed, and the food was fantastic. They had a whole bunch of social activities like exercises and outside entertainment.
