The Orchards at Arlington Highlands is awesome. We chose them because they don't hold an eviction that you had from eight years ago against you. Some complexes hold it against you, but this place, they're like, "It hasn't been three years, we're good." Everything is right there together. It's a newer place. They gave me one month free rent, and that helped me offset my cost to move because I'm disabled. Everything just fell right in place. It's a one bedroom and it's $2,100 a month. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. We've got a media room, pool, and foosball. We've got happy hour, parties, walking, a gym, and a salon.

The Orchards at Arlington Highlands is independent. We chose to go there because they had an opening, whereas all the rest of the places we looked at had a waiting list. They have a garage that's attached to the building, it's a gated community, and they have a pool. They were not connected to assisted living or other levels of care; they were just totally independent. They also have activities, an activities calendar, and they provide transportation.
