Morada Pantego was very nice. The rooms were a nice size. The staff was friendly. The cafeteria looked great. However, there were a few things that my mom didn't like as well as the other one. The room had a large kitchen, but it did not have a dishwasher or disposal. The tour was very helpful. The staff answered a lot of questions. She was very helpful. She was great. However, the laundry rooms were a little smaller. I think the whole building is smaller, which is fine, but it is not quite as convenient as the other ones. I believe they have a courtyard off of the dining room, but it's pretty much right on the row in the front, so to me it didn't seem like it had as much space.

I toured this apartment complex. I ate lunch there. I also assessed the amount of amenities for the price of the lowest price of an apartment (studio). There were several empty apartments so I decided to look elsewhere. I found a much better community around lake Arlington.

I went to Morada Pantego. I was impressed with it. They were very nice people. In fact, it was like we knew each other. We did a quick little tour. They have the criteria that I want. It was nice enough for me to say, 'We'll probably come by, see it, grab a lunch, or whatever you want to do.' The apartments were pretty much parallel to the other place. They were a nice size, and I think they would fit my mother's needs and make her comfortable. They had common areas, and there were people sitting around, relaxing, and things like that. It was good. They had a little store where you could buy little articles, like if they wanted to get some toothpaste or something like that. It was an updated facility. If it's not a new facility, it sure was updated and looked new. It looked very good.

I liked everything about Morada Pantego. I liked the people that I talked to and the apartment that I saw. They had an exercise room and all kinds of activities. They had arts and crafts, card playing, a game room, and a library that I thought was very wonderful. It was extensive. Another thing that I liked about this community was that they had a guest suite that if I had any family down from where I'm from, they could rent it for a night or two for a very reasonable amount of money. I thought that was good.

I visited Morada Pantego, and I love that place. In fact, at the point that I finally decided to sell my house, which is probably at least two years out, I would try to get into that place. It had everything I wanted. It has a full kitchen, and the apartments are small, but I understand that. The lady gave me close to two hours of her time. She was extremely, very knowledgeable. She fed me lunch, and the lunch was fine. She went and got it from the cafeteria, but she showed me the cafeteria. She showed me a special room that you could reserve if you want your family to come, and your apartment's too small and you want a bigger meal space. You can reserve this little family room, then you have a family get-together. Across the hall from where her office was, there was an activity beginning, and I could see some exercise going on. Then there was another activity, I don't recall what was coming up, it's just as I was leaving, but some residents were gathering for that. She showed me the menu, and in addition to feeding me lunch, she showed me the selection you could make. She gave me pricing information, and square footage information. But the thing that clinched it for me was that all the units had a stove, an oven, and a fridge. So, I could cook for myself if I didn't want to go to the cafeteria, and I would not like to do that all the time. So, it's very important to me to have a place that has a kitchen that I can use. I'm not saying that kitchen is big at all. It was very small, but it did have everything I needed to cook. That's the whole point for me. I was going to look at some senior apartment buildings which are completely independent living but only rent to seniors 55 plus, but you have to pay all your own utilities. The rent was cheaper, but by the time you add all utilities, it came to what you would pay at Morada. I just love that place, and I will move in there if it seems I'm ready to sell my house and hopefully, in at least two more years, I will go into that place. There was one that she showed me that was empty, but that needed some work. The reason it was empty was that they were going to do some work in the shower area and paint it. Even while she was showing me another unit, it was in the process of being repainted. So, my takeaway there was that they would endeavor to maintain the place pretty well. The apartment that she showed me, a lady who lived there had given permission to show her apartment, and it was lovely. It's small, but when I'm 80, I don't need a lot of space; in a year and three months, I'll be 80. During lunch, I just had a baked potato and a salad, but it was a five. What more can you do with the salad and the baked potato? They gave me everything on the potato. They put a whole bunch of butter that I didn't need, more butter and sour cream. She gave me iced tea; she was lovely, and I related to her well.

It was nice and friendly. It is a small community within a big city. The staff was good, professional, and the lady who took us around was knowledgeable and knew what she was doing. The amenities were fine. My mom wanted the gym there, and they had a lot of senior activities they do together. It was costly.

It is a really nice place. I thought I was in a fancy hotel. The rooms were also very nice and everything was top-notch. The staff was great and I really enjoyed the food. They had a very nice dining room, it was well done, and the dining services were great. I couldn't say anything negative about the entire visit. There's also a library which looked very nice.

My visit was very good. The apartments were very nice. They were doing a lot of renovation when I visited. The staff were very kind and very friendly. They talk to their residents like they were their relatives or close friends and I appreciate that. For me, the facility is a little bit older but they were bringing in new carpets and doing a lot of painting.

We have found a place for my mother over a month ago here. So far, it has been very good. My mother is happy. She is able to go with friends her own age. She is not isolated anymore. She is doing very well. The food is good. They have a van that takes them out on Thursday to get pedicures. They have bridge, bingo, and Bible study. They have a chapel there. They get to go out on little adventures.

We are just going to keep my dad where he is here. It is a great place, but it is an independent living place; they do have a care staff, and we just bumped that up. It was better economically and especially just to keep him where he is in a familiar surrounding and everything. We just pay a little extra to have them do certain things for him. My dad has been there for over 15 years. It's a great place, just overall the staff and the facility itself. He has the chain in the bathroom, and now he has something that he wears all the time for help. There is someone there 24 hours. There is good atmosphere and lots of activities and things to do. They're just really good with all of their residents.
